God distinctly SAYS that the DIVINE nature
is “NOT” human. The DIVINE NATURE is NOTHING like SINFUL NATURE. “…God (the holy spirit) is not human “…God is Spirit … …” (Numbers 23:19 NIV & John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM [THE[ ...HOLY…[SPIRIT]

Mankind uses TITLES and LABELS to understand God, and often
end up trying to conform the DIVINE NATURE into an image familiar to
themselves, but he is NOTHING like SINFUL NATURE. “…God is
not human …”

like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine … my ways
are higher … my thoughts higher…” (Isaiah 55:5-9 NLT). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… “I
AM WHO I AM …”

Mankind did NOT create God. God CREATED mankind and they
were originally CREATED in the IMAGE of the DIVINE NATURE which is HOLY! “….Let us make man in “our” image, after our likeness…”
(Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…..God created man in his own image…..male
and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “….God formed man of the dust of the ground (BODY), and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life (SPIRIT); and man became a living soul
(SOUL)…”
(Genesis 2:7 KJV).
God sent JESUS, THE HOLY WORD of God, to RESTORE mankind
BACK to WHOLENESS, which MUST include the DIVINE NATURE. “… I said, “O Lord,
be gracious to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You...”
(Psalms 41:4 NASB). “… I will restore you to health (wholeness) And I will heal
you of your wounds,’
declares the Lord…” (Jeremiah 30:17 NASB).
God, the Holy Spirit,
is a “…restorer of thy life…” (Ruth 4:15 KJV). “…He restoreth my
SOUL…” (Psalm 23 KJV). “…The
law of the LORD (the WORD of God) is perfect (grows, matures, develops, etc.)
(HOW?), ...[by] ... restoring the SOUL…”
(Psalm 19 NASB). “….He (the WORD OF GOD) restoreth my soul….” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT). “…I (God, the holy spirit) will
restore…”
(Jeremiah 30:17 KJV). God is a “…restorer of thy life…”
(Ruth 4:15 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to (or restores)
SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John
3:6 NLT). “….Jesus Christ (the
WORD of GOD) maketh thee WHOLE (RESTORES)…” (Acts 9:34 KJV).
It is important to NOTE, the DIVINE NATURE is often
described by using human anthropomorphisms.
An anthropomorphism is the attributing of human traits to what is
non-human, such as the Holy Spirit. The
DIVINE NATURE is
NOT human,
has NO real
human characteristics, and NO human limitations. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…”

human …” (Numbers 23:19 NIV). “…. [Yet], YOU THOUGHT I, (God,
the HOLY SPIRIT) was EXACTLY like you, [BUT I AM NOT]….”

God does “not” change, just
because you attribute human traits and
characteristics to describe him, explain him, or attempt to understand him.
God is NOT like HUMANS; he created them. And, he originally
created them to be LIKE him. Thus, HUMANS were CREATED in the image of the
DIVINE NATURE “not” the
other way around. “….Let us make man in “our” image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…..God
created man in his “own” image…..male
and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “….God …breathed

The Word of God reveals God as HOLY. “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). The
Word of God reveals God as SPIRIT: “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). Thus, God is the
HOLY SPIRIT.
God, the Holy Spirit,
REVEALS the DIVINE nature and DIVINE power through the things that his has
personally MADE. . “…Since the creation of the world God’s
INVISIBLE QUALITIES—have been CLEARLY
SEEN, being UNDERSTOOD FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE …”
(Romans 1:20 NIV).
God’s GOODNESS is his
GLORY displayed and his RIGHTEOUS character in action. “…GOOD and upright is the Lord…” (Psalm 25:8 KJV).
We SAY “GLORY” to the GREAT THINGS he had done, because we
“SEE” with our “OWN” eyes his PRESENCE in his GOODNESS. “...The lord is GOOD…there is none good but one, that is,
God...” (Nahum 1:7 & Mark 10:18 KJV). “…The LORD has done great things for us …” (Psalms 126:3
NIV). “…Rejoice and be glad, For the LORD has done great things…” (Joel 2:21
NASB).
In the book of Exodus, Moses
asked God to SHOW him his glory. God displayed ALL his
GOODNESS right in front of Moses while
he was presence. “…Moses said, “…show me your glory.” …The Lord said, “I will cause all my
GOODNESS to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in
your presence. … …”

God’ caused “…all …[his]… GOODNESS to
pass in front of …[Moses]…and …[he]… proclaim[ed]…
[his]… name, the Lord, in
…[moses’ very]… presence. … …”

To be “HOLY” good is to
be continually, with interruption, kind, benevolent, moral, upright, sinless,
worthy, decent, respectful, honorable, and deserving of praise. God is
the definition, personification, and ultimate example of GOOD or GOODNESS. “…The lord is GOOD…” (Psalm 100:5 KJV). “…Oh how great is thy GOODNESS… (Psalm
31:19 KJV). “…He is GOOD…” (Psalm
107:1 KJV). “..The lord is GOOD…” (Nahum 1:7 KJV). “…GOOD and upright is the Lord…” (Psalm 25:8 KJV). “…For thou, Lord,
is GOOD…” (Psalm 86:5 KJV). “…O give thanks unto the LORD; for he
is GOOD… ” (Psalms 106:1 KJV). “…O

God being HOLY means that God is NOT unholy, but is TOTALLY
free from SIN. God being SPIRIT means that God is NOT human, but is TOTALLY transcendent.

God being the HOLY SPIRIT means that God
is the HOLY SPIRIT and CREATED man with HIS image, which is the HOLY SPIRIT. “….God formed man of the dust of the ground (BODY), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of
life (SPIRIT); and man became a living soul (SOUL)…” (Genesis 2:7 KJV). God made man in three
parts. They had a body, his Spirit, and a soul.
What was the ROLE of each part?
1. The body was
given by God to ENGAGE with natural LIFE. The body is a CONDUIT for INTERACTING
WITH everything in the natural world.
2. God’s Spirit enables you to ENGAGE with and PARTAKE in
spiritual LIFE. His Spirit WORKS “IN”
AND “THROUGH” the human body to DISPLAY God’s power, reveal his PRESENCE, and
to CONFIRM his Word.
3. THE SOUL is YOU. The soul
is the authentic self. The authentic self includes the heart, emotions,
affections, appetites, thoughts, conscience, personality, and THOUGHTS.
The thoughts are the command center of the SOUL. The soul’s
THOUGHTS listens to, is informed by, or teams up with, or agrees with, or is
influenced by either the Holy Spirit
or the flesh to carry out certain behaviors and actions. “…If two … shall agree on earth as
touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father
which is in heaven…” (Matthew 18:19 KJV).
“....Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3 KJV).
The THOUGHTS are initially so utterly influenced
by the body or sinful nature; they have to be TRANSFORMED. “…Be
transformed by the renewing of your mind (The command center of YOUR SOUL)….”
(Romans 12:2 KJV).
The body, soul, and God’s Holy Spirit were once
JOINED together or in a SPIRITUAL union, or a covenant relationship.
In the beginning, man’s thoughts were influenced
by God’s Holy Spirit. Their thoughts were HOLY (set apart and FREED from the
influence of ANY sin).
They had the FREEDOM to choose to remain in the
UNION with God or follow another path.
Mankind has that SAME freedom today.
The freedom to choose was first witnessed when God gave Adam
and Eve ONE instruction to follow. He said: “…of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
thou
SHALT NOT EAT of it; for in the day
that thou eatest thereof THOU SHALT SURELY “DIE” …” (Genesis 2:16-17
KJV).
Adam and Eve CHOSE
not LISTEN to God’s instruction. Their CHOICE separated them FROM God’s Holy Spirit, which CAUSED absolute and
complete Spiritual DEATH. “…Every man is tempted, when
he (or she) is drawn away of his (or her) own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it BRINGETH
FORTH SIN: and sin, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH (Spiritual death)…” (James 1:13-15 NLT).
“…Through one man SIN (violation against God’s
Holy instructions) entered into the world, and DEATH (Spiritual death) THROUGH SIN, and so DEATH (Spiritual death)
passed to all men—“(Romans 5:12 KJV).
Adam and Eve became “…separated from the
[Spiritual] LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…It is the [Holy] SPIRIT who gives [Spiritual] LIFE…”
(John 6:63 NASB). “… [their] … iniquities
(sin) …SEPARATED
[them]… from [the Holy life of] God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…All have sinned and fallen SHORT of the GLORY of God (Presence of God)…” (Romans
3:23). “…The wages of sin is death (spiritual death)…”
(Romans 6:23 KJV). “…and SIN, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH
DEATH (Spiritual death)…” (James 1:13-15
NLT).
Without God mankind only has their body and their existing
soul, but NOT God’s Spirit. They have become a DEAD soul. “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…”
(James 2:26 KJV) The SOUL is “…DEAD in trespasses and sin” (Ephesians 2:1
KJV). “…when [you (your soul)] were DEAD in
sins …” (Ephesians 2:1-5 KJV). “…YOU (your soul)… were DEAD in your transgressions
and sins…” (Ephesians 2:1 NIV). Like the prodigal son, “… [YOU (your soul) were]…. DEAD and [you (your soul) have been made]… ALIVE AGAIN; [you (your soul) was]…
lost and [have been]… found…” (Luke 15:24 NIV). “…Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you (your soul) were DEAD …”
(Romans 6 NLT).
The SOUL, after the fall, was no longer
influenced by God’s Spirit. The SOUL
that is SEPARATED from God’s Holy Spirit is NO LONGER influenced by the HOLY
SPIRIT, but it left on its own, with only the flesh. All
the behaviors or actions that men and women display outwardly originate
from the DEAD SOUL, whose HEART is now influenced totally by the flesh now. It
is“… from within, out of the heart (command center of the SOUL) of man, proceed evil
thoughts…these … come from within, and defile a person.” (Mark 7:21-23
KJV). The heart (command center of the SOUL) “…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked…who can know it…”
(Jeremiah 17:9 KJV). "…Offspring of vipers, how can you, being
evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of
the heart (command center of the SOUL) the mouth speaks. The good man,
out of his good treasure, brings forth good things, and the evil man, out of
his evil treasure, brings forth evil things." (Matthew 12:34-35).
“…So I say, let the Holy Spirit (IF you have
the indwelling Holy Spirit) guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature (body) craves. The sinful nature (body) wants to do evil,
which is just the opposite of what the [Holy] Spirit wants. And the [Holy] Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite
of what the sinful nature (body) desires. These TWO FORCES are constantly fighting each other, so you are not
free to carry out your good intentions. …When
you follow the desires of your sinful nature (body), the RESULTS are very
clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling,
jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like
these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that
sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit
in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have
nailed the passions and desires of their sinful
nature to his cross and crucified them there…” (Galatians 5 NLT).
THE DEAD SOUL has “NO” spiritual ability, spiritual
influence, spiritual connection, or SPIRITUAL LIFE. The BODY, without God’s HOLY SPIRIT is DEAD.
“…the body without
(apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV) “…[YOU ARE] DEAD
in [your] trespasses and sin” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV). “…When you [are a DEAD SOUL]… the
RESULTS are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,
idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish
ambition, dissension, division, envy,
drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these…” (Galatians 5
NLT).
Without God, the HOLY
SPIRIT, all MANKIND has is a DEAD SOUL or SINFUL NATURE, which NOW creates
a BARRIER or CHASM between them and God, the
HOLY SPIRIT. “…The trouble is with
me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin
… I want
to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. So I am
not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. And
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do
what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “… We know … that the whole world lies
under the
power (BONDAGE, DICTATORSHIP) of the evil one” (1
John 5:19 RSV).
God is naturally the Holy SPIRIT and humans are naturally
SINFUL flesh. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…”
(John 4:24 KJV). “…I am all too human, a slave to sin…”
(Romans
7:14-25 NLT).
God, the HOLY SPIRIT
could NOT join or bond himself to SINFUL man. In addition, God, the Holy Spirit, could NOT have a
relationship with SINFUL man, even though he DESIRED too.
Like OIL and WATER;
HOLINESS and SIN “DON’T, CAN’T, and WON’T EVER mix or join together. Thus, the Holy Spirit naturally separates from
sinful man. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).
“… [SINFUL humanity’s] … iniquities …separated
[them]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).
God, the HOLY Spirit
and SINFUL mankind are SO DIFFERENT, by NATURE, there is an impenetrable CHASM
between THEM. “…between us (the spiritual world) and you (the natural world) [there is] a great chasm
(barrier) [that] has been set in place…” (Luke 16:22-25
NASB). “… [Their] … iniquities (sin) …SEPARATED [them]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2
KJV). “…and SIN, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH…”
(James 1:13-15 NLT). “…The wages of sin is
death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).
Without the HOLY SPIRIT mankind “IS” “…SEPARATED
from the [HOLY] LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…It is the [Holy] SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John
6:63 NASB).
Before you are SAVED and RESTORED, “…YOU
(your soul)… [are] DEAD in your … sins…” (Ephesians 2:1 NIV). “…YOU
[are] dead in your sins and ...
[IT IS]…God [the Holy Spirit] [that MAKES] you ALIVE [through] Christ (the WORD OF GOD). [God, the Holy Spirit forgives and cleanses
you from]… all [your]… sins…” (Colossians 2:13 NIV). God, the HOLY SPIRIT, makes “… [you]… ALIVE! … [You]… were DEAD in transgressions…”
(Ephesians 2:5 NIV). Like the prodigal son, “… [YOU
were]…. DEAD and [you have
been MADE]… ALIVE AGAIN; [you were]…
lost and [have been]… found…” (Luke 15:24 NIV).
“….YOU
(the SINFUL nature YOU or your DEAD SOUL you) USED TO LIVE in sin,
just like the rest of the world, obeying (dominated by) the devil—the commander
of the [sinful] powers (influences) in the unseen world. He is the
spirit at work in the hearts of those (SOULS) who refuse to obey God (or follow
his instructions and guidelines). All of us (SOULS) used to live that way, following the
passionate desires and inclinations (dictates) of our sinful nature.
….just like everyone else…”

God is the Holy SPIRIT.
God is a SPIRITUAL being. God, the Holy
SPIRIT is TOTALLY separated and SET APART from SIN and the SINFUL
humanity.
His HOLINESS means God is TOTALLY set apart and FREE from
SIN of ANY kind!! Thus, THE HOLY SPIRIT
CAN’T – not by CHOICE- JOIN or have FELLOWSHIP with SIN at ALL!!
“…what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what
communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ (the Word of
TRUTH) with Belial (the DEVIL or Father of LIES)? Or what part hath he that
believeth (depends upon God) with an infidel (one who doesn’t depend upon God)?” (2
Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV).
The LOVE, GRACE, and MERCY of God, the HOLY SPIRIT is revealed when he communicates to mankind through
Jesus, his Word. He communicates his DESIRE to RESTORE sinful mankind back into
a covenant RELATIONSHIP with him and informs them he has CREATED a WAY to DO
IT. “…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son…”
(John 3:16 KJV). God “…spared not his own Son, [in order to express DIVINE LOVE] but delivered him up for us all?”
(Romans 8:32 KJV). “….God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were
still sinners…” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV).). “…not that we loved God, but
that [god] loved us...” (1
John 4:10 KJV). “…herein is love, not that we loved God, but that [God]
loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our

BACK to WHOLENESS, which MUST include a REJOINING of the SOUL to the HOLY

REJOINING the SOUL and SPIRIT. “…The

God SPEAKS to his people through Jesus, HIS WORD and
confirms HIS WORD through signs, wonders, and miracles, such as SALVATION and
the REJOINING of the SOUL and SPIRIT. “…If

behold, ALL
THINGS are become (MADE) NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
The indwelling HOLY
SPIRIT is God’s WAY of REJOINING to his people once they are SAVED by the

of the HOLY SPIRIT), saving everyone who believes (depends upon the

[Y]OUR… HEARTS (command center of the SOULS)…” (Galatians 4:6

God’s
indwelling Holy Spirit RETURNS to JOIN mankind’s SOUL to God’s HOLY SPIRIT again.

God, the HOLY SPIRIT
dwells in YOU or is JOINED to you again. “…The [Holy] Spirit of God dwell
in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the
Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1
Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them, and
walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people…” (2
Corinthians 6:16 KJV).
However, GOD IS “NOT” HUMAN AND THUS, IT THE SOUL AND SPIRIT
THAT IS JOINED TOGETHER. “…God is not
human …” (Numbers 23:19 NIV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1
Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “…. [Yet], YOU THOUGHT I, (God,
the HOLY SPIRIT) was EXACTLY like you….” (Psalms 50:21 NIV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). God is the
HOLY SPIRIT. “… “I AM WHO I AM …” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “…I
am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).
“…..God created man (woman) in his own image…..male and female created he
them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “….God formed man of the dust of the ground (BODY), and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life (SPIRIT); and man became a living soul (SOUL)…” (Genesis 2:7 KJV).
Therefore, in this world God’s people
are to be LIKE JESUS! “...Be …
imitators (IMAGES) of [Jesus, the Word of God]…” (Hebrews
12:14; Ephesians 5:1 ASV). “… Growing in every way more and more like
Christ (the word of god)…”
(Ephesians 4:14-16 NLT). “…In this
world we are like Jesus (the word of god)…” (1
John 4:17 NIV). “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man
knew … his name is called The
Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).
“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). God is the
HOLY SPIRIT. “… “I AM WHO I AM …” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “…I
am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).
GOD “IS” SPIRIT; GOD “IS”
HOLY! THUS, IF YOU ARE CREATED “IN”
HIS IMAGE (LIKENESS, OR AS A COPY, ETC.); YOU OR YOUR LIFE WILL REFLECT (REVEAL) HIS HOLY SPIRIT!
