MATTHEW 25:29 PART 1
“...To
those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will
have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away...” (Matthew 25:29 NLT).
“...Then he ordered, ‘Take the money
from this servant, and give it
to the one with the ten bags of silver...” (Matthew 25:28 NLT).
“...To those who listen to
my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance
of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little
understanding they have will be taken away from them...”
(Matthew 13:12 NLT).
“...To
those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for
those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them...” (Mark 13:12 NLT).
“..So pay attention to how you hear. To those
who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who
are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them...” (Luke 8:18 NLT).
“...He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will
produce even more...” (John 15:2 NLT).

A
TALENT can take on the same meaning as GIFT when it refers to something a
person has been GIVEN or BESTOWED. When a TALENT or GIFT is GIVEN to someone,
by God, the Holy Spirit, it means HE
willfully and purposefully transferred or bestowed these talents or gifts to a
specific person. “…It is ... [God, the]...Holy Spirit who gives [the
redeemed, his people, etc.]... all these gifts (talents) and powers, deciding which each one of [them] should have… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).
God, the Holy Spirit’s, OFFERINGS of talents,
gifts or POWERS are transferred or bestowed upon the recipients through the indwelling Holy Spirit. The
recipients of God’s OFFERINGS are NOW endowed, through the indwelling Holy Spirit, with talents, gifts, and powers
they didn’t possess before. They are TALENTED. They are GIFTED.
“…HIS divine
power hath given unto ‘...[them]... ALL THINGS that pertain unto life
and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV).
“…Every good GIFT and every perfect GIFT is from above, and
cometh down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17 KJV). “…The LORD (the
indwelling Holy Spirit) SHALL GIVE (talents/gifts
to his people)…” (Psalms 85:12 KJV). “… [God’s people]... can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him
(her) from [God, the Holy Spirit]…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…What do you have that God (the Holy Spirit)
hasn’t given you? (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).
For instance, “…The GIFT of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans
6:23 KJV). Thus, “… [salvation]… IS THE GIFT OF GOD …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “… [The
REDEEMED]...shall receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost (Spirit)…”
(Acts 2:38 KJV).
“…BY GRACE have ... [the redeemed] ... been saved THROUGH FAITH;
and that NOT
OF [them]SELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works,
that no man(woman) should glory…”
(Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “….the [FREE]…
gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 6:23
KJV). “…the FREE gift…” (Romans 5:15
KJV).
“…[ IT IS] …
SO GREAT … [OF A] … SALVATION … with signs and wonders, and with divers
miracles, and GIFTS
OF THE HOLY GHOST, according to his own will (HIS OWN HEARTS DESIRE)...” (Hebrews 2:3-5 KJV).
“...God’s free gift leads to our
being made right with God (being restored, reunited with the Holy Spirit
again), even though we are guilty of many
sins ...even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ...” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT). “...God’s wonderful grace and
his gift of forgiveness to many through
.... Jesus Christ...” (Romans
5:10-16 NLT). “…Every one of us is
GIVEN GRACE according
to the measure of the gift of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:7 KJV). “… the GRACE of God, and the gift by GRACE, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath
ABOUNDED unto many…” (Romans 5:15 KJV).
What GIFTS?
“...God’s free gift ... his gift of righteousness...” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT). “... his gift of forgiveness ...” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT). “...the gift of
Christ…”
(Ephesians 4:7 KJV). “… the
gift by GRACE…”
(Romans 5:15 KJV).
“…
[People will]… know (witness) that everything [the redeemed has]… IS A GIFT “FROM” [God, the Holy Spirit]…”
(John 17:6-9 NLT).
“... [The gospel message]... began to be spoken by the Lord
(Jesus Christ), and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him...” (Hebrews 2:3-5 KJV). “ ... God (the Holy Spirit) also bearing them witness, both with signs and
wonders, and with divers miracles, and
gifts...” (Hebrews 2:3-5 KJV). “… God confirmed
the message by giving signs
and wonders and various miracles and gifts of
the Holy Spirit whenever he chose…”
(Hebrews 2:4 NLT).
God, the Holy Spirit, “…who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessings (signs,
wonders, gifts, talents, etc.) in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV). “…The GIFT by grace……”
(Romans 5:15 KJV). ”… ye [are]…saved through faith…it is the GIFT of
God…”
(Ephesians 2:8 KJV). “…The GIFT of
God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…the GIFT
of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “…I am leaving you with a GIFT—peace
of mind and heart...” (John 14:27 KJV). “….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy ... [spirit]…”
(Acts 2:38 KJV).
“… [God, the gift of his indwelling Holy Spirit is]…Your rock and Your
fortress, your deliverer, Your GOD, Your rock, in whom [you can] … take refuge; Your
shield and
the horn of Your salvation, YOUR
stronghold.…" (Psalms 18:3 NASB). “...He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “…The LORD “WILL”
accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John
14:31 NASB). “…God...
is the one who provides …” (2 Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV).
“…Thanks
be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT[S]…” (2 Corinthians 9:16 KJV). “…His DIVINE POWER
hath given unto ...[the redeemed]... ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3
KJV).
“...the gift of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:7 KJV). “ …We have this treasure (the indwelling GIFT) “in” earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7
KJV). “…Thanks
be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…” (2 Corinthians
9:16 KJV). “...the gift of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:7 KJV).
Therefore, “…Neglect
not
the
gift that
is in thee…” (1 Timothy 4:14 KJV). “…As every ...[redeemed]...man (woman) hath received the
gift, even so minister the same one to another,
as good stewards
of the manifold GRACE of God…” (1
Peter 4:10 KJV). “…Every one of us (redeemed) is GIVEN GRACE according to the measure of the gift of
Christ…”
(Ephesians 4:7 KJV). “…those who ... have tasted of the heavenly gift …” (Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV). “…FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE...” (Matthew 10:8 KJV).
“...To those who use well what they
are given, even more will be given,
and they will have an abundance. But
from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away...” (Matthew 25:29 NLT).
“...Then
he ordered, ‘Take the money (talent,
gift) from this servant, and give it
to the one with the ten bags of silver (more talents, gifts)...”
(Matthew 25:28 NLT).
“...To
those who listen to my teaching, more
understanding will be given, and they
will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening,
even what little understanding they have will
be taken away from them...” (Matthew 13:12 NLT).
“...To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not
listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them...” (Mark 13:12 NLT).
“..So pay
attention to how you hear. To those who
listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who
are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them...” (Luke 8:18 NLT).
“...He cuts off every branch of mine that
doesn’t produce fruit, and he
prunes the branches that do bear fruit so
they will produce even more...” (John 15:2 NLT).
One of the FIRST commandments God made to Adam
and Eve was to be fruitful and multiply.
To be fruitful or multiply is to
grow, increase, and reproduce something. “GOD BLESSED THEM...” (Genesis
1:28 KJV). “…Then God BLESSED them…” (Genesis 1:28 NLT).
A God-given blessing is
BESTOWED upon the recipients.
One of the meanings of “blessing” or
berakah is to BESTOW happiness and well-being upon. “...God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and
multiply,..”
(Genesis 1:28 KJV).
God was NOT making a
request. He didn’t ASK his creation (Adam and Eve) WOULD they be fruitful and multiply, he CREATED them to BE fruitful and multiply. “...Be fruitful and multiply...”
(Genesis 1:28 KJV).
God’s WORD CALLED the
BLESSING to “be fruitful and multiply” into EXISTENCE. God, the
Holy Spirit SAID, “...“Be fruitful and multiply...” (Genesis 1:28 KJV).
God speaks a CREATION
language and it is clearly witnessed through every WORK he has ever MADE. “…Since the
CREATION of the world God’s INVISIBLE QUALITIES … have been “CLEARLY SEEN”, being UNDERSTOOD FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE…” (Romans 1:20 NIV).
“…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND
THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).
“…God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND
THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB). “...God...[SAID]... “Be fruitful and multiply, ..” (Genesis 1:28
KJV). AND THEY “WERE” FRUITFUL AND ABLE TO MULTIPLY!
God’s creative language is called the WORD
OF GOD. “…BY THE
WORD of the Lord the heavens were made...[Adam and Eve were
made. Their ability to be fruitful and multiply were made also]…” (Psalms
33:6 NASB).
The WORD of GOD is PROOF that WHATEVER has
been created or exist did not happen by chance, but was MADE by God’s POWER “…In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth …”
(Genesis 1:1, 31 KJV).
“… BY FAITH (by depending upon God, the Holy Spirit) we understand that THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE
WAS FORMED at God’s command (WORD), that what we now see did not
come from anything that can be seen…” (Hebrews 11 NLT).
The CREATION LANGUAGE SPEAKS and the POWERFUL Holy Spirit follows its
commands. “…In
the beginning was the Word,
and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him,
and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being …
(John 1:1-4 NASB). “…BY THE WORD of the Lord the heavens were made…” (Psalms 33:6
NASB).
The CREATION LANGUAGE is spoken by God and
witnessed by the CREATIVE WORKS of the Holy Spirit. “…God’s … DIVINE
NATURE …[is]…“CLEARLY SEEN” … FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE…”
(Romans 1:20 NIV). “…God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND
THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB). “...God...[SAID]... “Be fruitful and multiply...” (Genesis 1:28
KJV).
“ ... All things came
into being (was created) through Him,
and apart from Him nothing came into being (was created) that has come into being…”
(John 1:3 NASB). “…the earth is filled with the LORD's GLORY (his presence, his goodness, and his powerful
works)…” (Number 14:21 NLT). “… “I AM WHO I AM … who is … who was and who is
to come, the
Almighty (the holy power)…" (Exodus 3:14-15 &
Revelation 1:8 NASB).
“…So …MY
WORD … SHALL NOT return unto me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I
please, and it SHALL PROSPER
in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). God
says, I “…am WATCHING over my
word to PERFORM it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB). “...God... [SAID]... “Be fruitful and multiply...” (Genesis 1:28
KJV).
God, the Holy Spirit, originally created mankind
to BE fruitful
and multiply. They had the
indwelling Holy Spirit, which means they had the spiritual capital
necessary to increase, grow, reproduce, and create within themselves.
The REDEEMED have been
GIVEN the GIFT of the indwelling Holy
Spirit AGAIN. “….ye
shall receive the GIFT of the Holy ... [spirit]…”
(Acts 2:38 KJV). GOD SAYS: “...To those who use well what they are given, even more
will be given, and they will have an abundance...” (Matthew 25:29 NLT). “...“Be fruitful and multiply...” (Genesis 1:28
KJV).
“.... But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away...” (Matthew
25:29 NLT). “Taken away” in this
context means the person, who was bestowed with talents and gifts, from God, the Holy Spirit, chose to neglect his
GRACIOUS offerings. He or she has willfully and voluntarily spurned and
forfeited their own blessings. “...Then
he ordered, ‘Take the money (talent,
gift) from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver
(more talents, gifts)...” (Matthew 25:28 NLT). “...To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and
they will have an abundance of
knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding
they have will be taken away from them...”
(Matthew 13:12 NLT).
“…But
my people would not listen to me.
They kept doing whatever they wanted, following
the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).
“But the people replied, “Don’t
waste your breath. We will continue
to live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).
“..So pay
attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more
understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what
they think they understand will be taken
away from them...” (Luke
8:18 NLT).
“...He cuts off every branch of mine that
doesn’t produce fruit, and he
prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more...”
(John 15:2 NLT).
“...“Be fruitful and multiply...” (Genesis 1:28
KJV). The redeemed person, who does
not recognize or neglects the OFFERINGS of talents and gifts from God, the Holy Spirit, deprives him or her OWN
self and inadvertently those gifts and talents are “taken away,” from them, through NON-USE.
Every REDEEMED child of
God has RECEIVED the GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT. “….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy
... [spirit]…” (Acts 2:38 KJV). “ …[The REDEEMED has]... this
treasure (the indwelling GIFT) “in” earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV). “…Thanks
be unto God for his unspeakable GIFTs…” (2 Corinthians
9:16 KJV). “…Neglect
not
the gift that is in thee…” (1 Timothy 4:14 KJV).
“…As every ... [redeemed]...man
(woman) hath received the gift…” (1
Peter 4:10 KJV). “…FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE...” (Matthew 10:8 KJV).
The indwelling Holy Spirit is especially GIVEN to prosper
the LIFE of the redeemed. “… [Jesus]
CAME that [you] may have life, and have it abundantly….”
(John 10:10 KJV). “...To those who use well
what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance...” (Matthew 25:29 NLT). “…eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into [the human]… heart … the things which God hath prepared for [the redeemed]....”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV). “… [God] is
able TO DO exceeding
abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV).
The world claims God’s blessing is upon their
talents and gifts which are done to glorify themselves and give credence to
self-effort. “…This
people draw near me with their mouth and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me…” (Isaiah 29:13 KJV).
In addition, they boast about material
wealth gained by natural power and wrongfully claim it is the witness of God’s
blessings upon their life. “…Apart from Me (GOD),
you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).
The REDEEMED claims God’s blessings upon
their talents and gifts which are done to glorify God and give credence to his
indwelling power. “…I
will save you that you may BECOME A BLESSING ...” (Zechariah 8:13 KJV). “… Everything
we have has come from [God], and we give [God]… only what [he]… first gave us! …” (1 Chronicles 29:14 NLT). “… [Therefore,]… whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord,
and not unto men…”
(Colossians 3:23 KJV).
In addition, the redeemed, also boast
material wealth and spiritual wealth is gained by supernatural power and
rightfully claim it is the WITNESS of God’s blessings upon their life. “…he hath blessed; and I
cannot reverse it…” (Numbers 23:20 KJV).
“…he
has blessed, and I cannot change it…”
(Number 23:20 NIV). “…When I act, who can reverse it?"…” (Isaiah 43:13
NIV). “….No one can undo what I have
done…" (Isaiah 43:13 NLT).
What is the difference between worldly
blessings and spiritual blessings! World blessings are temporary
and limited to this world. Spiritual blessings are eternal and are not limited
to this world.
“…The
poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in
torment, and
saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said,
‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip
of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this
flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during
your life you received your good things (material wealth), and likewise Lazarus
bad things (no material wealth); but now he is being comforted here (in
eternity, because he had spiritual wealth), and you are in agony (because you had no spiritual wealth). And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm (barrier) has been set in place, so
that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over
from there to us…”
(Luke 16:22-25 NASB).
THE
REDEEMED SHOULD NEVER “ENVY” THOSE CLAIMING WORLDLY BLESSINGS. Material wealth
does not mean spiritual blessings. Some materially wealthy people are Godless.
Without God, material wealth is
TEMPORARY and LIMITED TO “THIS” WORLD “…Let NOT thine
heart ENVY sinners…” (Proverbs 23:17 KJV).
“…Fret not
thyself because of evildoers, neither
be thou envious against workers of iniquity. For they shall soon
be cut down like the grass….the little that a righteous man
hath is BETTER than the RICHES of the MANY wicked...” (Psalm 37:1-2,16
KJV).
“...they shall soon
be cut down like
the grass, and wither as the green herb . …" (Psalm 37:1-11
KJV).
“...FRET
NOT thyself because of him [or her]…who prospereth in his[or her]… way, because
of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.…" (Psalm 37:1-11 KJV).
“...In the world ye
shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world...” (John 16:33 KJV). “... Here on earth you
will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world..." (John 16:44 NLT). “...Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid...” (John 14:27 KJV). “...we must [go]...through much tribulation
[to]...enter into the kingdom of God...” (Acts 14:22
KJV). “...despite all these things, overwhelming
victory is ours through Christ, who loved us...”
(Romans 8:37 NLT).
“...[THUS]...Trust in the
Lord,
and [continue to]…do good, so
shalt thou dwell in the lands, and verily thou shall be fed. Delight thyself
also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy
ways unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth they righteousness as the light, and thy judgement as
the noonday. Rest
in the Lord, and wait patiently for him ...those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For
yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt
diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and
shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace…"
(Psalm 37:1-11 KJV).
The REDEEMED may say: “…‘We’ve
given up everything to follow you…” (Mark
10:28-31 NLT). BUT Jesus says: “…I
assure you that everyone who
has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or
property, for my sake and for the
Good News, will receive now in return (temporary
blessings) a hundred times as many houses, brother,
sisters, mothers, children, and property
– along with persecution. And in the world to come (eternal blessings) that person will have eternal life...”
(Mark 10:28-31 NLT).
“…
[People will]… know (witness) that everything [you]… have IS A GIFT “FROM”
[God]…” (John 17:6-9 NLT). “... I said to the
Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you...” (Psalm 16:2 NLT).
The REDEEMED who neglect and forfeit the spiritual aspect
of their gifts and talents will ultimately deprive themselves of the BLESSINGS
of God’s GRACE. “...To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and
they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little
they have will be taken away...”
(Matthew 25:29 NLT).
The redeemed who neglect and
forfeit, the offerings of God don’t have their gifts and talents “literally” taken away, but it is their CHOICES that
have taken “them” away from their spiritual
privileges and blessings. “... But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away...” (Matthew
25:29 NLT).
NON-USE of your God-given
gifts and talents is LIKE not have them at all and thus they are “taken away” through your OWN neglect and
forfeit.
Those neglected gifts and
talents won’t go to waste, but they will be given and awarded to the faithful
servant who chooses to USE them. “...what little they have will be taken away...” (Matthew 25:29 NLT). “...Then
he ordered, ‘Take the money (talent, gift) from this servant, and give it to the [faithful] one ...” (Matthew 25:28 NLT).
“...Take the thousand and give it to the one who risked the most. And get
rid of this “play-it-safe” who won’t go out on a limb. Throw him out into utter
darkness...” (Matthew 25:28-30 MSG).
“... The
servant given one thousand said, ‘Master, I know you have high standards and
hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error.
I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured
your money. Here it is, safe and sound down to the last cent.’ “The master was
furious. ‘That’s a terrible way to live! It’s criminal to live cautiously like
that! If you knew I was after the best, why did you do less than the least? The
least you could have done would have been to invest the sum with the bankers,
where at least I would have gotten a little interest. “‘Take
the thousand and give it to the one who risked the most. And get rid of this
“play-it-safe” who won’t go out on a limb. Throw him out into utter darkness....’”
(Matthew 25:24-30 MSG).
“...the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant!...” (Matthew 25:26 NLT). “...No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a washtub or shoves it
under the bed. No, you set it up on a lamp stand so those who enter the room
can see their way. We’re not keeping secrets; we’re telling them. We’re not
hiding things; we’re bringing everything
out into the open. So be careful that you don’t become misers of what you hear.
Generosity begets generosity. Stinginess impoverishes...” (Matthew 8:18 MSG). “...He cuts off every branch of me that doesn’t bear grapes. And every branch that is
grape-bearing he prunes back so it will bear even more. You are already pruned
back by the message I have spoken...” (John 15:2-3
MSG).
“….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy
...[spirit]…” (Acts 2:38 KJV). “ …[The REDEEMED has]... this
treasure (this indwelling GIFT) “in” earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV). “…Neglect not the gift that is in thee…” (1 Timothy 4:14 KJV).
“…As every ...[redeemed]...man
(woman) hath received the gift…” (1
Peter 4:10 KJV).
“...“Be fruitful and multiply...” (Genesis 1:28
KJV). “...To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an
abundance. But from those who do
nothing, even what little they have will be taken away...” (Matthew 25:29 NLT). “...the
master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant!...” (Matthew 25:26 NLT).
Jesus was GIVEN the
GIFT of the Holy Spirit and POWER too
and he went around DOING good and healing. When Jesus was upon
the earth he was fruitful and multiplied
the work of the kingdom of God. “…God (the Holy Spirit) anointed (empowered) Jesus
of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER,
and
…he went around ... doing good and healing all (HOW?)...because …God [the holy spirit]… was with him…” (Acts 10:38 NIV).
“…The [Holy] ...Spirit … anointed [empowered JESUS] to preach the gospel to the poor ... [empowered him] to heal the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering
of sight to the blind, to set at liberty
them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord…”
(John 4:16-21 KJV). “… [Jesus was EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit and
he] went about doing
good,
and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; [BECAUSE] ...GOD [THE HOLY SPIRIT] ...WAS WITH HIM…”
(Acts 10:38-39 KJV).
“...The master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant!...” (Matthew 25:26 NLT). This scripture is NOT so much about
DOING or NOT DOING as much as it is about TRUSTING and NOT TRUSTING.
