THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT
“…He that is JOINED unto the Lord is ONE Spirit…”
(1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).
*
“…UNTO the Lord”…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). In this context “unto”
means the same as “to” and refers to moving in the direction “toward” a person
or thing or it refers to a state of action.
In 1 Corinthians 6:17
the person joined “UNTO” the Lord “IS” one Spirit with God, the Holy Spirit. “…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT…[with
Jesus and the Father] …” (1 Corinthian 6:17 KJV). My friend, Linda,
told me JOINED basically means “in COVENANT with.”
A male or female “IS” ONE SPIRIT when they
are UNITED with God, the Holy Spirit.
If you are JOINED with the LORD God, you are NOT separated from him. You are,
in fact, in a covenant relationship with HIM. “….LET US
MAKE man … after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26
KJV). “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he them…”
(Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God
formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of
life (Holy Spirit);
and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every
thing he had made……and, behold, it
was very good…”
(Genesis 1:31 KJV).
The original JOINING or covenant UNION
between God, the Holy Spirit and the
man’s SOUL “….was very good…”
(Genesis 1:31 KJV).
To
KEEP it “very good” God, influenced
by HOLY LOVE, made a statement of TRUTH. “…Of every tree of the garden thou
mayest freely eat: BUT of the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil THOU SHALT NOT
EAT OF IT …[or]
… thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).
However “…The [flesh (before it became the sinful
nature) WAS] … hostile to God. It NEVER did…. [AS YOU CAN SEE…from the
beginning] obey (follow) God’s laws (HOLY instructions), and it NEVER WILL …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).
Thus, “… if ye live AFTER THE FLESH, ye shall die…” (Romans 8:13 KJV).
In
the GARDEN, the EVIL ONE, used a serpent, to appeal to the FLESH in order to
GAIN control over man’s SOUL and ultimately separate them FROM God, the HOLY SPIRIT. “….
One day [the EVIL ONE through the serpent] asked the woman, “Did God really say
you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees
in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the
fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat.
God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”
“You won’t die!”
the serpent replied (LIED) to the woman. “God knows that your
eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing
both good and evil…” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).
AFTER the EVIL ONE appealed to the
FLESH through the SENSES (taste, smell,
sight, sound, and touch); the covenant relationship with God was destroyed. “…The woman was
convinced.
She saw
that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give
her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. …”
(Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).
“… ONE sinner destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD…” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).
The EVIL ONE used the FLESH (that is
hostile to God) to MURDER the UNION between God, the Holy Spirit and man’s
SOUL! Adam and Eve DIED spiritually (separated from God, the Holy Spirit). “…He (the EVIL ONE) was a murderer from the
beginning, and does not stand in the
truth because there is no truth in him.
Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies…” (John
8:44 NASB).
The EVIL ONE said: “…ye shall not surely die.…”
(Genesis 3:4-5 KJV).
SO “…she took
some of the fruit and ate it. …”
(Genesis 3:1-7 NLT). The good covenant
UNION with God was DESTROYED. Remember, “….God saw … (everything he had created) was very good…”
(Genesis 1:31 KJV). However, “… ONE
sinner destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD…”
(Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).
“…She took some
of the fruit and ate
it. Then she
gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he
ate it, too. At
that moment their eyes were
opened (to SPIRITUAL DEATH or SPIRITUAL SEPARATION FROM GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT)…”
(Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).
At “THAT” very moment “they”
DIED spiritually as God HAD said. “… Thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV).
“… [Their] … iniquities … [immediately] … separated [them]… from God…”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…Every man
(or woman) is tempted, when … [they are] … drawn (LED) away of his (her)
own lust (personal desires), and enticed (personal temptations)…”
(James 1:13-15 NLT).
God said, “… Thou shalt surely die…” (Genesis 2:16-17 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24
KJV).
“…[God’s] WORDS … they ARE SPIRIT…”
(John 6:63 KJV). “…[God’s]
WORD is truth…” (JOHN 17:17 KJV).
SIN will ALWAYS DRAW you away from TRUTH
with LIES by appealing to one’s LUSTS and TEMPTATIONS! The
EVIL ONE said: “…ye shall not surely die.…” (Genesis 3:4-5 KJV).“…He (the EVIL ONE) …is a liar and the father of lies…”
(John 8:44 NASB).
“…Every man
(or woman) is tempted, when … [they are] … drawn (LED) away of his
(her) own lust (personal desires), and enticed (seduced by lies). Then when lust hath conceived (is
performed), it BRINGETH FORTH SIN (the violation of God’s HOLY ordinances): and
sin, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH
(spiritual death)…” (James 1:13-15 NLT).
“…At that moment their eyes were opened…
[AND] …Sin (ongoing and
perpetual violation of God’s HOLY ordinances) entered into the world, and
DEATH (spiritual death) through sin,
and so DEATH (spiritual death) passed to all men(women)—“(Romans
5:12 KJV & Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).
It is traditional to
focus on the serpent, the apple, and original sin in the GARDEN of EDEN story.
HOWEVER, the focus
should also be ON the POWERFUL affect decision of the SOUL have on CHOOSING
to follow the dictates (SENSES) of THE flesh.
The job of any
representative of evil is to deceive and control mankind by appealing to their
SENSES (smell, sight, sound, taste, and touch) through the FLESH.
The representatives of
evil appeal to the SENSES through the FLESH in order to GAIN control over or
dominion OVER man’s SOUL. “… I have set before you LIFE
and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose
LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may LIVE…” (Deuteronomy 30:19
KJV). “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….”
(Joshua 24:15 KJV).
CHOOSING to obey or follow the dictates of the FLESH,
which is now the SINFUL NATURE, is HOW man’s SOUL becomes a SLAVE to SIN. “…Know … that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey (to follow),
his servants ye are to whom ye obey
(follow); whether of sin
unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16 KJV). “… Everyone who sins
(violates God’s HOLY ordinances) is a slave to sin…” (John 8:34 NLT).
In
addition, “…the body without (apart from) the [holy]
spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV). The “ONLY” nature Adam and Eve had to PASS onto their children was a SINFUL
NATURE. “… Choose LIFE, that
both thou and thy seed
(children) may LIVE (be spiritually alive)…”
(Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV). Thus,"… That which is born of the FLESH IS FLESH…” (John 3:6 KJV).
As a RESULT, “…ALL HAVE SINNED (inherited the SINFUL nature at birth) and fallen short of the glory
of God (the
breath of life or presence of God)…” (Romans 3:23). ALL of Adam’s SEED or descendants“… [have been born]…..unclean (or without the Holy Spirit) and [their] righteousnesses are as FILTHY RAGS….” (Isaiah 64:6 KJV). Unfortunately, “…There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10 KJV). “…There is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not…” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV).
breath of life or presence of God)…” (Romans 3:23).
“…[the whole world]… must be born again…” (John 3:7 NIV). WHY? Because, "…that
which is born of the FLESH IS FLESH; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:6 KJV).
“…SIN IS
the transgression of the [HOLY] law (of God]….” (1 John 3:4
KJV). “…The wages of SIN is [spiritual] death…”
(Romans 6:23 KJV).
“…God asked the
woman, “What have you done?” (Genesis 3:7-13 NLT). “… [the
“union” between god, the holy spirit and man’s soul] “was”
very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).
However,
“… ONE sinner
destroy[ed] … MUCH GOOD…” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB). “… [They
were] …separated …
from God…”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). They were NOW “…DEAD in trespasses and sin…” (Ephesians 2:1
KJV). “…the
body without (apart from) the [holy]
spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV). “…Through … [Adam and Eve] … sin entered into the world, and
[spiritual] DEATH through sin, and
so [spiritual] DEATH passed to all men(women)—“(Romans
5:12 KJV).
NOW “…All have sinned (and are born with a sinful nature) and [have] fallen short of the glory of God
[the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT]…” (Romans 3:23).
“… “You won’t die!” the [EVIL ONE lied]…
to the woman …The [woman’s soul, through the flesh] was
convinced.
She saw
that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give
her …”
(Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).
“…So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then
she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too…”
(Genesis 3:1-7 NLT).
IMMEDIATELY, Adam, Eve, and ALL of mankind
became “…separated from the LIFE of God…”
(Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…It is the
SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John
6:63 NASB). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the
body (flesh) without (apart from) the [holy] spirit is dead…”
(James 2:26 KJV).
The WORD of GOD says “SIN” separates the
covenant relationship between God, the
Holy Spirit and Man’s SOUL. “…
[Their] … iniquities (sin) …separated [them]… from God (the Holy Spirit)…
…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).
The WORD of God has the POWER to JOIN the
SOUL and SPIRIT and the WORD of GOD has the POWER to SEPARATE the SOUL and the
Holy Spirit.
On one hand, “…He that is JOINED
unto the Lord (Jesus, the Word) is ONE Spirit…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). On the
other hand, “…The word of God (Jesus) is quick, and powerful, and sharper than
any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and
spirit…” (Hebrews 4:12 KJV).
God SAID (his WORD spoke): “…in the day
that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die…”
(Genesis 2:16-17 KJV). “…She … ate it [and] her
husband …ate it, too…” (Genesis 3:1-7 NLT). “…At that moment their eyes were opened…” (Genesis
3:1-7 NLT). “…The word of God …dividing
asunder
of soul and spirit…”
(Hebrews 4:12 KJV). “… [They were IMMEDIATELY] … separated
from the LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…It is the
SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John
6:63 NASB). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the
body without (apart from) the [life
from the holy] spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV).
The
Holy Spirit separated from man. “…BY THE WORD of the Lord …” (Psalms 33:6 NASB). “…thou shalt surely die…”
(Genesis 2:16-17 KJV). “…The word …dividing
asunder
of soul and
spirit…” (Hebrews 4:12 KJV). “… [Their]
… iniquities …separated [them]… from God…
…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…God asked the woman, “What have you done?” (Genesis 3:7-13 NLT). “…
[the union between god, the holy
spirit and man’s soul [was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV). However, “…ONE sinner destroy[ed]… MUCH GOOD…” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).
God, the INDWELLING Holy Spirit SEPARATED
from man and the spiritual “image” and “likeness” of God was also
separated. “…And
the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (Body) … [but] … the
breath of life (Spirit;
God, the Holy Spirit) … [separated] … and man became a … [dead] … soul (Soul) …”
(GENESIS 2:7 KJV) paraphased. “…the body without (apart from) the [life from the holy] spirit is dead…”
(James 2:26 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The word of
God …dividing
asunder
of soul and spirit…”
(Hebrews 4:12 KJV).
God, the Holy Spirit is non-physical. Man’s
SOUL is non-physical. When God’s Spirit and Man’s SOUL UNITE they become “ONE
SPIRIT.” “…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT (non-physical)…”
(1 Corinthian 6:17 KJV).
Through the JOINING, covenant UNION, the
SOUL takes the NATURE of God, the Holy
SPIRIT and becomes a “NEW CREATION” altogether. “…If any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a NEW creature: old things are passed
away; behold, ALL
THINGS are become NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…He(she) that is joined unto the Lord…” (1 Corinthian 6:17 KJV).
JOINED refers to being connected, united,
affixed, attached, fastened stuck, combined, or linked to something or someone.
JOINED does not mean permeated, infused, or soaked.
HOW DO YOU BECOME “ONE SPIRIT” IF SIN IS A BARRER? SIN creates a BARRIER between God, the Holy Spirit and man’s SOUL (both
non-physical). “… And besides all this, between [god, the holy spirit and sinful man] a great chasm (barrier) has been set in place, so
that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over
from there to us…”
(Luke 16:22-25 NASB).
This barrier of SIN will ALWAYS
cause a SEPARATION, between God, the HOLY
Spirit and the SINFUL NATURE. God, the
Holy Spirit can NOT and will NOT “EVER” MIX with SIN. “… And
besides all this, between
us and you a great chasm
(barrier) has been set in place…”
(Luke 16:22-25 NASB).
SIN and HOLINESS naturally SEPARATE;
just like oil and water. “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separated between
you and your God (holy) …”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God (who is HOLY)…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).
Thus, God SENT Jesus, his son, who
became like an EMULSIFIER in order to enable the JOINING, UNITING, or emulsion
of two unlikely substances. “…He that is
joined [by Jesus] is ONE Spirit… [OR
united again, through emulsion, with God, the HOLY Spirit]” (1 Corinthians
6:17 KJV).
If an emulsifier is added to oil and
water it will miraculously enable them to MIX together. “…He that is joined (together) [by] the Lord (Jesus) [becomes] ONE Spirit… [OR is miraculously united, again, with
God, the Holy Spirit again]” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…. Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2
Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
You are a totally new
creation. “… [BECAUSE]… if any man
(woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, ALL
THINGS are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
“…God
… reconciled us (male and female) (or joined
us) to himself through Christ (the WORD) …” (2 Corinthians 5:18 NIV). “… [God sent the] …one
… who can
reconcile
(JOIN) God and humanity—the
man Christ Jesus (the word of God)…”
(1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…For Christ (the Word
& atoning sacrifice)… died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so
that He might bring us [home again] to God…” (1
Peter 3:18 NASB). “… I will bring them home again,” says the Lord (the word of God….” (HOSEA
11 NLT).
“… [The WORD of GOD]… is the
power of God at work, saving (reconciling, joining, uniting, etc.) everyone
who believes (trusts in; depends upon, etc.)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…BY THE
WORD of the Lord
(Jesus) [you are
SAVED]…” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).
“…Jesus Christ (the word) maketh thee whole [again]…”
(Acts 9:34 KJV). “…If any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17
KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…”
(2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…I will put a new
spirit in you. …”
(Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…God has given
[you] HIS [holy] Spirit as PROOF that
… he [dwells]…in [you].” (1 John 4:13 NLT). “…God himself … makes everything holy and whole, [and will] make you holy and whole. [he will] put
you together …[again]… —[with
his Holy] spirit, [and your] soul, and body …” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
MSG).
“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…It is God which worketh IN YOU …”
(Philippians 2:13 KJV). “… [The WORD of GOD]… is the power of God at work, saving (reconciling, joining, uniting,
etc.) everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…BY THE
WORD of the Lord
(Jesus) [you are
SAVED]…” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).
“…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT…[AGAIN
with God, the Holy Spirit] …” (1 Corinthian 6:17 KJV). God, the Holy Spirit keeps the COVENANT with
the believer.
ALL of the PROMISES, in HIS WORD, proclaim
and express “HIS” faithfulness to the relationship. “… he remains faithful[ in the relationship], for he cannot deny who
he is…” (2
Timothy 2:13 NLT).
God, the Holy Spirit SUSTAINS “HIS” role in
the relationship and NEVER changes his position. “…I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV). “… [God
is]…sustaining
ALL THINGS … by his powerful word…”
(Hebrews 1:3 NIV). “… Whereby ye are sealed (joined
with the holy spirit) unto the day of redemption…” (Ephesians 4:30 KJV).
“… [I will] … never leave nor forsake you…”
(Hebrews 13:5 KJV).
God is COMMITTED to the
covenant relationship with the BELIEVER in 3 IMPORTANT ways.
1.
God, the holy spirit, BONDS
through love, “…love, which is the perfect BOND of unity...”
(Colossians 3:14 NASB). “… [Nothing]…shall
be able to separate [you]… from the love of God which is “in” Christ Jesus our Lord…”
(Romans 8:38-39 KJV). “….the…faithful
love of the Lord, never ends...!”(Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT).
2.
God, the holy spirit, CONNECTS with you through
his spirit “…He that is joined (connected) unto the
Lord is ONE SPIRIT…” (1
Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…Christ [is]…in
you
…” (Colossians 1:27 KJV). “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “… Whereby ye are sealed (joined with the holy spirit) unto the day of redemption…” (Ephesians 4:30 KJV).
3.
God, the holy spirit, SUSTAINs the
relationship, with you, through grace. “…God is able to make all GRACE abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV). “…My GRACE is sufficient for thee: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness...” (2
Corinthians 12:9 KJV). “...Let us therefore
come boldly unto the throne of GRACE
… and find GRACE to help in time of
need…” (Hebrews 4:16 KJV).
The IMPORTANCE of GRACE in the
relationship between God, the Holy Spirit
and man’s SOUL is the FLESH, which is STILL the sinful nature and is STILL susceptibility
toward SIN. “….I am carnal … [and it is]… sin that dwelleth in me. … I know that in me (that
is, in my flesh),
(which is the sinful nature,) dwelleth
no GOOD thing: ….” (Romans 7:14-23 KJV). “…I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t….I don’t want to do what is wrong,
but I do it anyway. …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…The trouble is with me, for I am all too
human, a slave to sin…I want to do
what is right (by my own self-effort), but I can’t.
…I [am] …a slave to the sin that is … within me…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…For the
sinful nature is always hostile to God. It
never did obey God’s laws, and it never will …those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never
please God…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).
“…Not that we are sufficient
of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God…” (2 Corinthians 3:5 KJV).
God, the
Holy Spirit NEVER changes in his covenant commitment toward the
relationship, but the believer, just like ADAM and EVE, can choose to follow
the dictates of the FLESH, which is the sinful nature. “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…I
change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).
However, “…if you live by its (the flesh) dictates,
you will die. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).
Adam and Eve died spiritually and SEPARATED or FELL AWAY from the BOND and
CONNECTION with God, the HOLY SPIRIT.
“…The
word of God …dividing
asunder
of soul and spirit…”
(Hebrews 4:12 KJV). “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separated
between you and your God (holy) …”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut
you off from God (who is HOLY)…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).
God,
the Holy Spirit does NOT SEPARATE
from YOU, but YOU can willfully CHOOSE to SEPARATE from HIM when you follow after
the FLESH; the SINFUL NATURE.
“…you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
For if you live by its
dictates, you will die…” (Romans
8:1-14 NLT). “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separated between
you and your God (holy) …”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “ …dividing
asunder
of soul and spirit…”
(Hebrews 4:12 KJV).
”.. If you live by its (the FLESH) dictates, you
will die…” (Romans
8:1-14 NLT). “…The
…dividing asunder of soul and
spirit…” (Hebrews 4:12 KJV). “…For if ye live AFTER THE FLESH, ye shall die…” (Romans 8:13 KJV). “…Know … that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey
(to follow), his servants ye
are to whom ye obey (follow); whether of sin unto death….” (Romans 6:16 KJV).
“…what fellowship (BOND OR CONNECTION) hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? And what communion (BOND OR CONNECTION) hath light with
darkness? And what concord (BOND OR CONNECTION) hath Christ (the Word of TRUTH)
with Belial (the DEVIL or Father of LIES)? Or what part (BOND OR CONNECTION)
hath he that believeth (depends upon God) with an infidel (one who doesn’t
depend upon God)?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15
KJV). “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separated between
you and your God (holy) …”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…The …dividing
asunder
of soul and spirit…”
(Hebrews 4:12 KJV).
“…The people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly following our
own evil desires” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).
“…My people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they
wanted, following the stubborn desires
of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). “…Your INIQUITIES (sin) have separated
between you and your God (holy) …”
(Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…The…dividing
asunder
of soul and spirit…” (Hebrews
4:12 KJV).
OVER THE YEARS, IN
BIBLICAL HISTORY, GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT
REMAINED FAITHFUL TO THE COVENANT RELATIONSHIP, BUT HIS PEOPLE “OFTEN” CHOOSE
TO ABANDON AND FORGET ABOUT HIM.
“…If
… [you] … are unfaithful, he remains faithful…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “….the…faithful love of the Lord,
never ends...” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT).
HOWEVER, “… [YOU]… FORGOT all about ME,”
says the Lord…” (Hosea 2:13 NLT). “…for years
on end my people have FORGOTten ME…” (Jeremiah 2:32 NLT).
“…They
ABANDONED ME and did not obey (follow) my word….”
(JEREMIAH 16:11 NLT). “…They ABANDONED the Lord…
they turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT). “…The
Lord replies, “This has happened because my people
have ABANDONED MY [HOLY] INSTRUCTIONS; they have refused to obey
(follow) what I said….” (JEREMIAH 9:13 NLT).
WHAT A BLESSING, God, the Holy Spirit’s LOVE remains faithful
toward you today as he DID, to his people, throughout biblical history. “…Know
therefore that the Lord your God
is God; he is the
faithful God,
keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations…” (Deuteronomy 7:6-9 NIV). “…If
we are unfaithful, he remains faithful,
for he cannot deny who he is…”
(2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “… The … FAITHFUL love of the Lord, [for you], NEVER ENDS...!”(Lamentations
3:22-23 NLT). “…GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS…” (LAMENTATIONS
3:24 KJV). “….HE … [IS]…CALLED “FAITHFUL” and “TRUE”….”
(Revelation 19:11 KJV).
God, the Holy Spirit remains FAITHFUL to you. He LOVINGLY BONDS, and his
Holy SPIRIT CONNECTS, but “you” FREELY CHOOSE to ABIDE in the covenant with
him. “…Choose you this
day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).
“…Abide
in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot
bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine…” (John 15:4
KJV). “…If
a man (woman) abide NOT in me (it is their choice), ‘he (she) is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and
they are burned…” (John 15:6 KJV).
GOD WILL “NEVER” LEAVE YOU, BUT YOU
CAN FREELY CHOOSE TO LEAVE HIM. “…God has said “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you…”
(Hebrews 13:5 NIV).
IN
THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD SAID: “…They ABANDONED the Lord…
they turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT).
IN THE NEW TESTAMENT HE SAID TO THE CHURCH OF
EPHESUS: “… REMEMBER THEREFORE FROM WHENCE THOU (you)
ARE FALLEN …”
(REVELATION 2:2 KJV).
GOD,
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS FAITHFUL AND COMMITTED TO YOU AND HE “SUSTAINS” HIS POSITION
FOREVER! “…he remains faithful…”
(2 Timothy 2:13 NLT).
HOWEVER,
IT IS UP TO “YOU” TO CHOOSE TO SUSTAIN “YOUR” POSITION WITH GOD. “…abide in me (STAY JOINED TO ME), and I in you (WILL STAY JOINED TO YOU)…”
(John 15:4 KJV).
“… For it is impossible to bring back to
repentance those
who were once
enlightened—those
who have
experienced the good things of heaven and shared
in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and
the power of the age to come— and who
then turn away from God…”
(Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT).
HOWEVER,
THE HOPE IS THIS: “…The things which are
impossible with men … [are] …POSSIBLE… [with God] …” (Luke 18:27
