TRANSFORMING LOVE (MEASURE OF FAITH, PART 3)

CHAPTER 3
PART 3
GIVES YOU A “MEASURE OF FAITH”
“…..according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).

However, God-given faith is unique to Christianity and it is given to all believers as a gift from God.
This God-given faith is one of the holy gifts that distinguish Christianity from all other religions.
Human faith is NOT God-given faith and operates on an entirely different foundation of trust.
Human faith is also based on what is seen or finite logic, or what has supposedly been scientifically proven.
The God-given “measure of faith” is unique to Christianity only and actively responds to the inspired Word of God.
In addition, the object of God-given faith also makes it unique from other objects of faith since the object is the Living God of creation.  For the Christian, “… there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him…” (1 Corinthians 8:6).
God-given faith enables you to be certain of whom you have put your trust in “…because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him…” (Hebrew 11:6).
If you need help exercising your God-given faith don’t feel condemned. God will help you if you ask him (Mark 9:24).
God is willing to help your unbelief and understands it takes time to build faith like it does to build muscle (Mark 9:24).
By listening to the WORD
Exercising God-given faith is simple, but many have difficulty using it properly due to a life-long practice of human faith where physical evidence is prominent.
Struggling with faith is quite common and many great saints have struggled with faith.
King David, during one of his many struggles said, “…why my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed with in me?…” (Psalm 43:5).
King David used his God-given faith and said to himself “……Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God….” (Psalm 43:5).
Mark 9:24
Many cry out to God, “….help my unbelief….”(Mark 9:24). God will answer and send the Holy Spirt to help our infirmities (Romans 8:26).
Even though King David struggled with his faith occasionally God said he was a man “…after My own heart, who will do all My will…” (1 Samuel 13:14).
Believers are encouraged to walk by faith and are reminded that “….without faith it is impossible to please God…” (Hebrews 11:6).
Your God-given faith is required to walk out the Christian journey and it comes by HEARING the word.
God-given faith enables you to fully experience and know the Living God of creation intimately.
Having a YADA relationship with God through Christ is unique to Christianity and God-given faith is needed to sustain the eternal relationship.
God-given faith sustains its original potency from the time God gives it to you; through-out your Christian journey.
Helps you to respond by Faith
When God-given faith appears to falter it is usually because self-effort has interfered. God-given faith is a free gift from God without human contribution.
All you need to do is HEAR the word of God and faith builds itself up from there.
HEARING the word powerfully enables you to RESPOND BY FAITH. Obey God. “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill” (Numbers 23:19)?
NEVER
And “Not one of all the LORD's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled” (Joshua 21:45).
If God said his God-given measure of faith comes by HEARING then it does. It’s up to you to cooperate by hearing the Word of God in order to truly respond by faith.
AMEN “….according to your faith…so be it unto you…” (Matthew 9:29).
