(Romans 8:9 KJV). Let’s do a little review on the SOUL. THE SOUL is the REAL YOU. The soul is the authentic
self. The authentic self includes the emotions, affections, appetites,
conscience, personality, and HEART/THOUGHTS (command center of the SOUL). The heart/thoughts
are the command center of the SOUL. The soul’s HEART/THOUGHTS listens to, or
teams up with, or agrees with, or is influenced by either the indwelling Holy Spirit or the outward sinful nature to
live-out, follow, or practice certain lifestyles. “…If
two … shall agree on earth as
touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father
which is in heaven…” (Matthew 18:19 KJV).
“....Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3 KJV).The HEART/THOUGHTS are initially
influenced completely by the sinful nature and require TRANSFORMATION. “…Be transformed by the renewing of your mind [The command center of YOUR
SOUL)….” (Romans 12:2 KJV). The body, soul, and God’s Holy Spirit were once ONE UNIT or in a SPIRITUAL union or
covenant relationship TOGETHER. In the beginning man’s heart/thoughts were
TOTALLY influenced by God’s Holy Spirit.
Man’s heart/thoughts were HOLY (set apart and totally FREED from sin). Before
SIN entered into the world, mankind ONCE had the FREEDOM to choose to follow
God’s HOLY instructions and only had ONE choice to make: to obey. But after
FREELY choosing to be led away from God, the Holy Spirit’s commandment they
became separate from him by following after the enticements of the BODY/FLESH.
Following after the enticements of the BODY/FLESH led
them away and separated them from God, the Holy Spirit, his image, and his
likeness. “… [their] … iniquities (sin) …separated
[them]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2
KJV). It is the Holy Spirit who EMPOWERS man’s
SOUL to be FREE from SIN. Their FREEDOM to choose to follow God’s Holy
instructions was LOST to the EVIL ONE. The EVIL ONE was now the MASTER of man’s
SOUL through their OWN body/flesh. “….When you offer yourselves to someone as
obedient slaves (to willfully follow them), you are slaves of the one you obey (follow)…” (Romans 6:16

(Romans 12:2 KJV). WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO ALLOW THE WORD TO TRANSFORM
THE HEART? BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A CONFLICT BETWEEN THE
FLESH AND THE SPIRIT AND THE SOUL WILL FOLLOW WHATEVER INFORMATION OR KNOWLEDGE
THAT IS STRONGER AND MORE INFLUENTIAL IN THE HEART. “…If
two … shall agree (heart and flesh or heart and spirit) on earth as
touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father
which is in heaven…” (Matthew 18:19 KJV).
“....Can two walk together, except they be agreed
(heart and flesh or heart and spirit)?”
(Amos 3:3 KJV). The HEARt is initially
informed, affected, and influenced completely by the sinful nature and requires
WHAT? Spiritual tRANSFORMATION. “…Be transformed by the renewing of your mind
[The command center of YOUR SOUL)….” (Romans 12:2 KJV). The
body, soul, and God’s Holy Spirit were once ONE UNIT. WHAT SEPARATED THEM? SIN SEPARATEd
THEM. “… [their]
… iniquities (sin) …separated [them]… from God…
…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). THE holy SPIRIT MADE MAN’S SOUL
FREE, BUT FOLLOWING THE FLESH/BODY MADE MAN’S SOUL WHAT? A SLAVE TO SIN. “….When you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves (to willfully
follow them), you are slaves of the
one you obey (follow)…” (Romans 6:16 NIV). “…I am …. a slave
to sin.. …” (Romans
7:14-25 NLT). WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SOUL SEPARATED FROM
THE SPIRIT? IT DIEd SPIRITUALLY. “…and SIN, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH

human (too affected, informed and influenced by the flesh), a slave
to sin … I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it.
Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in

indwelling holy spirit, wHO IS THE SOUL A SLAVE TO? THE

Did adam and eve have the freedom to choose? yes. How do you know? Because god
instructed them not to eat from the tree, but they had the choice to listen or
not. He said: “…of every tree of the garden thou mayest

knowledge of good and evil, thou SHALT NOT EAT of
it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof THOU SHALT SURELY “DIE” …”
(Genesis 2:16-17 KJV). HOW WERE ADAM AND EVE DRAWN AWAY FROM GOD’S INSTRUCTION? THEY WERE TEMPTED BY THE FLESH AND IT INFLUENCED THE HEART TO
LUST AND LUST ENTICED THE SOUL TO SIN.. “…Every man (woman) is tempted, when
he (or she) is drawn away of his (or her) own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it BRINGETH
FORTH SIN: and sin, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH…” (James 1:13-15 NLT). “…through one man SIN entered into the world, and DEATH THROUGH SIN, and so DEATH passed
to all men—“(Romans 5:12 KJV). WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
ADAM/EVE AND THE HOLY SPIRIT? Adam
and Eve became “…SEPARATED from the LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…It is the [Holy] SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John

sins …” (Ephesians 2:1-5 KJV). “…YOU (YOUR SOUL)… were DEAD in your transgressions
and sins…” (Ephesians 2:1 NIV). Like the prodigal son, “… [YOU (YOUR SOUL) were]…. DEAD and [you have been made]… ALIVE AGAIN; [you were]… lost and [have
been]… found…” (Luke 15:24 NIV). “…Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you (soul) were DEAD …”
(Romans 6 NLT). IF THE DEAD SOUL HAS BECOME A SINFUL NATURE,
IS THE HEART INFORMED, AFFECTED, AND INFLUENCED BY THE SINFUL NATURE TOO? YES. “… from within (from the SOUL), out of the heart (out of the command center of the SOUL)
of man (woman), proceed evil thoughts…these … come from within (from the SOUL),
and defile a person.” (Mark 7:21-23 KJV). The
heart (command center of the SOUL) “…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked…who
can know it…” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV). "…Offspring
of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart (out of the command center
of the SOUL) the mouth speaks. The good man, out of his good treasure,
brings forth good things, and the evil man, out of his evil treasure, brings

say, let the Holy Spirit (IF you have the indwelling Holy Spirit) guide your
lives. Then you won’t be doing
what your sinful
nature (body) craves.
The
sinful nature (body) wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the [Holy]
Spirit wants.
And the [Holy] Spirit
gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature (body)
desires. These TWO FORCES are
constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good
intentions. …When you follow the desires
of your sinful nature (body), the RESULTS are very clear: sexual immorality,
impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish
ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that
sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit

THE SINFUL NATURE IS A SLAVE TO THE EVIL ONE AND ALSO ENSLAVES THE PERSONHOOD
OF THE SOUL. “the

ORIENTATION FOR SIN MEAN FOR THE PERSONHOOD OF THE SOUL? IT MEANS THE PERSONHOOD OF the
SOUL IS INFORMED, AFFECTED, AND INFLUENCED BY THE SINFUL HEART WHICH IS UNDER
THE POWER OF THE EVIL ONE. “the

the HOLY SPIRIT, makes “… [your SOUL]… ALIVE! … [Your SOUL was]… DEAD in transgressions…”

(SOUL has been MADE]… ALIVE AGAIN;

sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying (dominated by the
orientation for sin through the power of) the devil—the commander of the
[sinful nature and the] powers (influences) in the unseen world. He
is the spirit at work in the hearts (command center of the unconverted SOULS)
of those who refuse to obey God (or
follow his instructions and guidelines). All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires
and inclinations of our sinful nature (which dictates SIN in our lives).

or Father of LIES)? Or what part hath he that believeth (depends upon God) with
