Jesus, the WORD, which is also SPIRIT, has the POWER to BOND and JOIN the Holy Spirit and man’s SOUL together again like God FIRST created them.  “….LET US MAKE man … after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

God, the HOLY SPIRIT desires to share this unique “oneness” with “HIS” people AGAIN. He makes a WAY (salvation) by grace through faith in or dependency upon Jesus Christ, the WORD of God. “…  [THE WORD]… It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes (WHO DEPENDS UPON JESUS, HIS WORD)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT).

When you are SEALED, BONDED, and UNITED with God through his INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT “YOU”… “…[BECOME] … ONE; even as ..[the] Father… [is] in [Jesus] (the WORD, which is SPIRIT) and [Jesus, the Word is] in [Him] (God, the Holy Spirit), that [YOU] also may be in [ONE OR UNITED AGAIN THROUGH the SPIRIT], so that the world may believe that [God] sent…[HIS WORD[…” (John 17:21-23 NASB). 

This Holy “ONENESS” is the joining of man’s soul and God’s Holy Spirit through Jesus, the WORD. GOD RESTORES MANKIND “BACK” TO THE ORIGINAL CREATED “IMAGE.”  What can MAKE mankind spiritually WHOLE again, spiritually ALIVE, and RESTORE them BACK to God’s original image? 

The answer: the Holy Spirit; the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT? “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE …” (John 3:6 NLT). “….Apart from [the HOLY SPIRIT], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). Only the “breath of life” or “the HOLY SPIRIT” can return mankind BACK to God’s original, created “image” and “likeness” that was ONCE so VERY good? “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole [again]…” (Acts 9:34 KJV).

Let’s do a little review on the SOUL. THE SOUL is the REAL YOU. The soul is the authentic self. The authentic self includes the emotions, affections, appetites, conscience, personality, and HEART/THOUGHTS (command center of the SOUL). The heart/thoughts are the command center of the SOUL. 

The soul’s HEART/THOUGHTS listens to, or teams up with, or agrees with, or is influenced by either the indwelling Holy Spirit or the outward sinful nature to live-out, follow, or practice certain lifestyles. “…If two … shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven…” (Matthew 18:19 KJV). “....Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3 KJV).

The HEART/THOUGHTS are initially influenced completely by the sinful nature and require TRANSFORMATION. “…Be transformed by the renewing of your mind [The command center of YOUR SOUL)….” (Romans 12:2 KJV).  T

he body, soul, and God’s Holy Spirit were once ONE UNIT or in a SPIRITUAL union or covenant relationship TOGETHER. In the beginning man’s heart/thoughts were TOTALLY influenced by God’s Holy Spirit. 

Man’s heart/thoughts were HOLY (set apart and totally FREED from sin). Before SIN entered into the world, mankind ONCE had the FREEDOM to choose to follow God’s HOLY instructions and only had ONE choice to make: to obey. 

But after FREELY choosing to be led away from God, the Holy Spirit’s commandment they became separate from him by following after the enticements of the BODY/FLESH. 

Following after the enticements of the BODY/FLESH led them away and separated them from God, the Holy Spirit and his image. THE SOUL AND SPIRIT HAVE A METAPHYSICAL LIKENESS. However, “… [their] … iniquities (sin) …separated [them]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). 

It is the Holy Spirit who EMPOWERS man’s SOUL to be FREE from SIN. Their FREEDOM to choose to follow God’s Holy instructions was LOST to the EVIL ONE. 

The EVIL ONE was now the MASTER of man’s SOUL through their OWN body/flesh. “….When you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves (to willfully follow them), you are slaves of the one you obey (follow)…” (Romans 6:16 NIV). “…I am …. a slave to sin.. …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). 

They NO longer had the SPIRITUAL ABILITY TO “CHOOSE” holiness. WHY? “…and SIN, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH (Spiritual death)…” (James 1:13-15 NLT). “…The trouble is with me, for I am all too human (now), a slave to sin … I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.  And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…The sinful nature is always hostile to God . It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). 

“…In the beginning was the Word… (John 1:1-4 NASB). “…THE WORDS … they ARE SPIRIT (God)…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…[Adam and Eve]… heard the voice of the Lord God …” (Genesis 3:8 KJV). “…BY THE WORD of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host…” (Psalms 33:6 NASB). 

God SPOKE the world into existence and he SPOKE to Adam and Eve. His VOICE was audible and it sounded as if he was WALKING in the garden. “… [Adam and Eve]… heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day …” (Genesis 3:8 KJV). 

However, and in addition to HEARING his VOICE “walking” “IN” the garden, Adam and Eve HID themselves from his PRESENCE. “… [Adam and Eve]… heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day …and hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst trees of the garden…” (Genesis 3:8 KJV). 

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). When God STARTED creating the world his SPIRIT “…moved upon the face of the waters…and [then] God SAID….” (Genesis 1:2-3 KJV). “…The invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world …[was] ...clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made…” (Romans 1:20 KJV).

 God’s SPIRIT is “clearly SEEN” by the things MADE which means the VOICE of the SPIRIT moved through the GARDEN and MADE a walking SOUND. “… [Adam and Eve]… heard the voice of the Lord God walking …” (Genesis 3:8 KJV). 

Regardless of HOW, God’s voice was heard WALKING or MOVING through the garden. God’s, who is SPIRIT, VOICE was HEARD. “… [Adam and Eve]… heard the voice …” (Genesis 3:8 KJV). 

God SPEAKS to his people through Jesus, HIS WORD, which is SPIRIT. “…THE WORDS THAT I (Jesus, the WORD) SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV). WHY ARE GOD’S WORDS SPIRIT? “…God is Spirit…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… “I AM WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). 

AND God also confirms HIS WORD through signs, wonders, and miracles, such as SALVATION, TRANSFORMATION, and CONFIRMATION. “… [GOD]… moved upon the face of the waters…and [then] God SAID…” (Genesis 1:2-3 KJV). 

God MOVES today, which is CLEAR by the things MADE. “…If any man be in (united to) Christ, he is a [MADE into a] NEW creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).  

The indwelling HOLY SPIRIT is God’s WAY of bonding and connecting to his people once they are SAVED by the POWER of his WORD. “… [The WORD of GOD]... is the power of God at work (through the CONFIRMING work of the HOLY SPIRIT), saving everyone who believes (depends upon the word)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT 

“…God has given [you] HIS [Holy] Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT “…God … SENT forth the [Holy] Spirit of His Son “INTO” [Y]OUR… HEARTS (SOULS)…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). 

God’s indwelling Holy Spirit RETURNS to REUNITE mankind’s SOUL to “HIS” HOLY SPIRIT again. God “….made [your (soul)]… ALIVE with Christ (the WORD)… …” (Ephesians 2:5 NIV). “…May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you (your soul) holy and whole [BY PUTTING] you together [again]—[with HIS HOLY] spirit, [ and your] soul, and body …” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).

 God, the HOLY SPIRIT comes to dwell in YOU by REUNITING with your SOUL in a covenant relationship. “…The [Holy] Spirit of God dwell in you (dwelled within you)…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).
