 WHAT ARE THEY?

“… if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

“…[You]..can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). ^“…Christ liveth in [you]…” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

The SOUL, all the non-physical aspects of a human being has been existing, moving, and interacting with the natural world through the conduit of the SINFUL NATURE. “ … the deeds of the flesh (INFLUENCED AND INFORMED BY THE THOUGHTS HOUSED IN THE HEART) are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these …” (Galatians 5:20-22  NASB). “…from within, out of the heart of man, proceed evil thoughts (THAT INFLUENCE AND INFORM BEHAVIOR, SUCH AS)… wickedness…All these evil things come from within, and defile a person.” (Mark 7:21-23 KJV). The heart (WHERE THE THOUGHTS RESIDE) “…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked…” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV).  WITHIN the CONDUIT of the SINFUL NATURE, the WARDON, of the imprisoned soul, is the EVIL ONE. “… [The SOUL, through the sinful nature obeys] …the devil—the commander of the [evil] powers in the unseen world. He is the [evil] spirit at work in the hearts (WHERE YOUR THOUGHTS RESIDE) of those who refuse to obey (follow) God…” (Ephesian 2:2-3 NLT). The EVIL ONE is the MASTER Dictator that DOMINATES the SOUL of “EVERY” slave of SIN through the sinful nature. Every unconverted SOUL is under his POWER. “… the whole world (EVERY unconverted SOUL) lies under the power (CONTROL) of the evil one” (1 John 5:19 RSV). They have NO CHOICE other than to submit to the EVIL ONE’S control. “…the flesh  (SINFUL NATURE)… does not submit to God's law (instructions), nor can it do so…” (Romans 8:7 NIV). “… the [soul is] … under the power (CONTROL) of the evil one” (1 John 5:19 RSV). The SOUL imprisoned by the SINFUL NATURE BELONGS to the EVIL ONE and they are his SLAVES of SIN. “…I am (MY SOUL IS) … a slave to sin …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). The SOUL under the POWER of the EVIL ONE and through the PRISON of the SINFUL NATURE is allowed to think, feel, have relationships with others, have worldly success, material possessions, gain world renown, explore appetites, follow their heart’s desires, and do whatever the flesh dictates as LONG as it is within the REALM of the EVIL ONE’S control or domination. However,“…ALL that is in the world, the LUST of the flesh, and the LUST of the eyes…..is NOT of the Father, but it is of the world (which is under the power of the EVIL ONE)….” (1 John 2:16-17 KJV). “…The sinful nature (FLESH) wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants …” (Galatians 5 NLT). “… [THE SINFUL NATURE] … does not submit to God's law (HOLY instruction], nor can it do so…” (Romans 8:7 NIV). “…THE FLESH (THE SINFUL NATURE) SETS ITS DESIRE AGAINST the [HOLY] Spirit…” (Galatians 5:17 NASB). “…Those who are ACCORDING TO THE FLESH (SINFUL NATURE) set their MINDS (thoughts) ON THE THINGS OF THE FLESH (THE SINFUL NATURE)…” (Romans 8:5 NASB). . “ … the deeds of the flesh (SINFUL NATURE) are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these …” (Galatians 5:20-22  NASB).  “…WHOEVER SOWS TO PLEASE THEIR FLESH (SINFUL NATURE), FROM THE FLESH WILL REAP DESTRUCTION; …” (Galatians 6:8 NIV).  “…the flesh  (SINFUL NATURE) profits nothing…” (John 6:63 NASB). SOME PEOPLE LIKE LIVING BY THE FLESH (THE SINFUL NATURE). “…MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, because THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved…” (John 3:18-20 KJV). HOWEVER, CHOOSING TO CONTINUE TO LIVE BY THE SINFUL NATURE, IS A TEMPORARY SITUATION, BUT WITH ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES. ”.. if you live by its (the FLESH) dictates, you will die…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…For if ye live AFTER THE FLESH, ye shall die…” (Romans 8:13 KJV). “…Know … that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey (to follow), his servants ye are to whom ye obey (follow); whether of sin unto death….” (Romans 6:16 KJV). MANY PEOPLE DON’T CARE ABOUT OR BELIEVE IN ETERNAL DEATH. “…He that believeth on him is not condemned: but HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because HE HATH NOT BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, that light is come into the world, and MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT …” (John 3:18-20 KJV). SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT LIVING ACCORDING TO THE SINFUL NATURE “FEELS” RIGHT TO THEM!  “…There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of DEATH...” (Proverbs  14:20 KJV). “…There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways DEATH ….” (Proverbs 16:25 KJV). “…WHOEVER SOWS TO PLEASE THEIR FLESH (SINFUL NATURE), FROM THE FLESH WILL REAP DESTRUCTION; …” (Galatians 6:8 NIV).  “…For if ye live AFTER THE FLESH, ye shall die…” (Romans 8:13 KJV). THE HOLY SPIRIT SAVES YOU, REUNITES THE human SOUL AND SPIRIT, FREES YOU FROM SIN, AND MAKES YOU INTO A NEW CREATION WITH ABILITIES TO RULE AND HAVE DOMINION. You are a NEW CREATION “IN” Jesus Christ. “….if any man be in Christ, he is a New creature: OLD THINGS are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). You can NOW live a Spirit-empowered life, through the indwelling Holy Spirit, that strengthens you. “…[You]..can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). ^“…Christ liveth in [you]…” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). Apart from Jesus Christ, you will NOT be able to live a Spirit-empowered life. “…the body without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV). “….Apart from Me (Jesus Christ), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). The FLESH cannot enable you to live a Spirit-empowered life. “…it never will. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “… it does not submit to God's law (HOLY instructionS), nor can it do so…” (Romans 8:7 NIV). “…The sinful nature (FLESH) wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. …” (Galatians 5 NLT). The HOLY SPIRIT empowers you to live a Spirit-empowered life. “…It is the SPIRIT who gives LIFE…” (John 6:63 NASB). “…it is God who works in you…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “……God made you ALIVE with Christ…” (Colossians 2:13 NIV). “…he that is joined unto the Lord (Jesus) is ONE spirit… [with God]” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).“… all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…[You]..can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). You are a NEW CREATION. You can LIVE a Spirit-empowered LIFE. You have been BORN AGAIN with new abilities. “…  if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…You must be born again…” (John 3:7 NIV). BORN AGAIN means you have been made WHOLE like ADAM was before the FALL. “…God himself … makes everything holy and whole, [and he will] make you holy and whole… [by putting]  ... you together …[again]… —[with his Holy] spirit, [your] soul, and body …” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG). Therefore, “…You must be born again…” (John 3:7 NIV). "…That which is born of the FLESH IS FLESH; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:6 KJV). “…In the beginning God created …” (Genesis 1:1, 31 KJV). “…God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.   …” (Genesis 1 NASB), “…we exist through Him…” (1 Corinthians 8:6 NASB). “…You must be born again…” (John 3:7 NIV). God said, “….LET US MAKE man … after our likeness  …” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image (LIKENESS) …male and female created he them (the first HUMANS)…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). "That which is born of the FLESH IS FLESH; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:6 KJV). “…God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1 NASB). God told his NEW CREATIONS what to DO with the abilities they were CREATED with. “…God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth…” (Genesis 1 NASB). “…And God said …let them have DOMINION … And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have DOMINION …over every living thing that moveth upon the earth….” (Genesis 1:26-28 KJV). Adam started USING his abilities when he named the animals and the woman.” “…The Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man “CHOSE” A NAME for each one. He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. … [Adam said,] she will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man…” (Genesis 2:19-20, 23 NLT). God made PROVISIONS first and then made the MALE and FEMALE. He TOLD them to use their GOD-GIVEN abilities to be fruitful and multiply. .“…God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply…” (Genesis 1 NASB). The MALE and FEMALE had DOMINION “OVER” ALL that God had CREATED. “… have DOMINION …over every living thing that moveth upon the earth….” (Genesis 1:26-28 KJV). God STILL had ULTIMATE dominion, because the EARTH belongs, first and foremost, to him. “… For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him…” (Colossians 1:16 KJV). “…The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein…” (Psalm 24:1 KJV). “…for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof…” (Psalm 50:12 KJV). “…For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills…” (Psalms 50:10 NLT). “…Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine…” (1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV). YET, “…God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply…” (Genesis 1 NASB). “… have DOMINION …over every living thing that moveth upon the earth….” (Genesis 1:26-28 KJV). HOW DOES GOD GIVE HIS PEOPLE NEW, EMPOWERED GIFTS AND ABILITIES? “…God [the Holy Spirit] … DOES the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his …[God, the] HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each of us …” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “… [YOU]… can [NOW] do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…It is God who works in [you]… to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “… the God of peace, … that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip[s] you with everything good for doing his will, and …work[s] in [you]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS “ABLE” TO DO… according to the power that worketh in us…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT(S and abilities)…” (2 Corinthians  9:16 KJV).
