CHAPTER

PART 2
GIVES
YOU A “MEASURE OF FAITH”
“…..according as God hath dealt to
each man a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).
Godly faith actively rest in the
promises of God’s word. Your “measure of faith” is alive. Your “measure of
faith” is not simply dead inactive belief like the demons who also believe (James
2:19).
This “measure of faith” is a gift
from the holy God and therefore, originates from Him. Again, faith is not originated from man, but
distributed to each person by God alone (Romans 12:3).
Faith powerfully enables each believer to respond
to God’s word every time he/she hears it.
God’s “measure of faith” also keeps
people humble by stopping them from thinking more highly of themselves than
they should (Romans 12:3).
Faith is a gift
that is “given” to each child of God from God and therefore, no one can boast
about his or her personal effort (Ephesians 2:8).
Your “measure of
faith” is a gift from God and powerfully appears as the power of God unto salvation when you are justified by faith (Ephesian
2:8).
Believers’ “measure
of faith” is the power of God unto salvation,
which opens the door to experience further supernatural gifts and blessings.
Faith is one of
the most important of all gifts and Christians are commanded to live “…by faith and not by sight…” (2
Corinthians 5:7).
The most
difficult part of responding by faith is living in a culture that depends
mainly on what they can see and perceive to be true or not true.
This is often
ingrained in the human psyche and when you are born again God-given faith
proves to be a real struggle.
Christians think
it’s a “lack of faith” that plagues them, when it’s actually a “lack of the exercise
of faith” that’s the culprit.
Just like one
grows and develops in the natural using their own reasoning and worldly
perceptions; they must grow and develop in the spirit using their own“measure
of faith.”
Godly faith
requires regular spiritual exercise and exercise “…comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…”(Romans
10:17).
Don’ worry about
how hearing the Word causes faith to come or appear. “…Have faith in God…(Mark 11:23-24).
God watches over
his word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). God’s word never returns to him without
first doing what it is supposed to do (Isaiah 55:11).
If God says
faith comes at the hearing of his word, remember “..not one of the good promises which the Lord ..made……failed; [but] all
came to pass..” (Joshua 21:45). Faith comes………
You grow up having
some kind of visual proof to invoke human faith of some kind, however God-given
faith does need to have visual proof.
GOD GIVEN FAITH |
If exercised
properly and regularly, God-given faith enables you to experience the creative,
unseen power of God.
Exercising God-given
faith is hardest when human effort interferes, and most believers fail because
of human effort. “Therefore
they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of
God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that
you believe in Him whom He
has sent" (John 6:28-29).
The Christian walk is a walk of
faith. However, the problem with God-given faith happens when things occur in
your life that you cannot “see” an answer to, or scientific evidence for, or
human logic to solve it.
Faith becomes a challenge, even
with your “measure of faith,” to truly depend totally on God, when you can’t see
your own way out of a situation.
There are two solutions to this
problem; HEAR the word of God often and get to KNOW God.
It’s hard to believe in someone you
don’t know and you can’t know someone unless you spend time with them.
Hearing the word helps you to both
know God and exercise your faith at the same time.
In the YADA relationship, God and
the believer become “one” as they spend time together on a daily basis.
God has left his intimate message
of love to you in the Holy Scriptures and as you read his words you will come
to know him more and more.
This will also activate your faith
muscle to enable you to fully experience the creative, unseen power of God.
You can read the word quietly, read
it out loud, listen to it by audio, watch it on DVD, or hear it through
preaching as a way to build faith and get closer to God.
If you don’t exercise faith it will be weak
and inactivate. Your transformed spirit and God-given faith is ready and
willing to enable you to live a rich and prosperous Christian lifestyle
(Matthew 26:41).
The flesh will not profit you in
that direction at all (Mark 14:38, John 6:63).
There are more doubting Thomases
than people are willing to admit it and many rely solely on what they see. But
Christ said,“……..blessed are those who
have NOT seen and yet have believed….” (John 20:29).
Doubt is a part of the Christian
journey and every one experiences it sooner or later. Believing without seeing
is not a natural practice, but supernatural one.
God is Spirit and it is God’s
normal is to make things visible out of that which is invisible (Romans 11:3).
Because humans keep their
experiences limited to the tangible realities; spiritual realities are way beyond
their inquiries or thinking (Ephesians 3:20).
