THE HOLY SPIRIT MAKES A COVENANT COMMITMENT TO YOU!

                     

THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 1)

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… “I AM WHO I AM …” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).

HOPEFULLY, we have established that the Holy Spirit is non-physical and man’s SOUL is non-physical. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).

God is Spirit and so are HIS WORDS. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV). “… His name (Jesus) is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).

Jesus, the WORD, which is also SPIRIT, has the POWER to BOND and JOIN the Holy Spirit and man’s SOUL together again like God FIRST created them.  “….LET US MAKE man … after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

God, the HOLY SPIRIT desires to share this unique “ONENESS” with “HIS” people AGAIN. He makes a WAY (salvation) through faith in or dependency upon Jesus Christ, the WORD of God“…  [THE WORD]… It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes (WHO DEPENDS UPON JESUS, HIS WORD)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…And I, if I (Jesus, the Word) be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me….” (John 12:32 KJV).  “…This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him. (depend upon HIM)..” (John 6:28-29 KJV). “…The Father … he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

 “…BY GRACE have ye been SAVED THROUGH FAITH…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). .“…Faith cometh by hearing … THE WORD of God” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…The grace of our Lord was poured out on me (or transferred to me) abundantly, ALONG WITH FAITH (the power to depend upon God) … that are “IN” (when joined to) Christ Jesus (the WORD)…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV). “… God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son (the WORD) into [your]… hearts (part of the SOUL (non-physical)...” (Galatians 4:6 NASB).

When you are SEALED, BONDED, and JOINED with God through his INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT “YOU”… “…[BECOME] … ONE; even as ..[the] Father… [is] in [Jesus] (the WORD, which is SPIRIT) and [Jesus, the Word is] in [Him] (God, the Holy Spirit), that [YOU] also may be in [ONE SPIRIT them], so that the world may believe that [God] sent…[HIS WORD] …” (John 17:21-23 NASB).

This holy “ONENESS” is the joining of man’s soul and God’s Holy Spirit through Jesus, the WORD. GOD RESTORES, through ONENESS, MANKIND “BACK” TO THE ORIGINAL CREATED “IMAGE.” 

What can MAKE mankind spiritually WHOLE again, spiritually ALIVE, and RESTORE them BACK to God original image? The answer: the Holy Spirit; the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT? “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to  (restores) SPIRITUAL LIFE …” (John 3:6 NLT). “….Apart from [the HOLY SPIRIT], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

Only the “breath of life” or “the HOLY SPIRIT” can return mankind BACK to God’s original, created “image” and “likeness” that was ONCE so VERY good? “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole [again]…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “….LET US MAKE man … after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image…..male and female created he them…” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV). “….God saw every thing he had made……and, behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31 KJV).

“…If any man be in (joined to) Christ, he (she) is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…I will put a new spirit in you (to join to you). …” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…God has given [you] HIS [holy] Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you].” (1 John 4:13 NLT).

YOU NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE HOLY SPIRIT RESTORES THE SOUL AND IT AGAIN BECOMES A "LIVING" SOUL. When mankind chose to follow after their flesh (NOW the sinful nature) instead of God’s Holy Spirit they became a DEAD SOUL. The STORY changed. “…And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit); [but they followed after the FLESH] and man became a [dead] soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV/PARAPHASED). “…the body  (flesh) without (apart from) the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV).

“…[Their] INIQUITIES (sin) … SEPARATED … [them] and [their] God (Holy) …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…It’s YOUR SINS that have cut you off from God (who is HOLY)…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

SIN created a BARRIER between sinful man and the HOLY God. “… And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm (barrier) has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB).

This barrier will ALWAYS cause a SEPARATION, because HOLINESS can NOT and will NOT “EVER” JOIN with SIN. SIN and HOLINESS SEPARATES; just like oil and water. “… And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm (barrier) has been set in place…” (Luke 16:22-25 NASB).

Therefore, ONLY “…Jesus Christ maketh thee whole [again]…” (Acts 9:34 KJV). “…If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… I will put a “new” spirit in you. …” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT).

 “…May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together [again]—[WITH HIS] spirit,  [your] soul, and body …” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).

God “SO” loved you and WANTED “YOU” back in UNION with him (the HOLY SPIRIT). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV) “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “… I am [also] holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit is LOVE. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV).

GOD initiates the LOVING covenant relationship with YOU. “…NOT that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US...” (1 John 4:10 KJV).  

The covenant relationship is God’s idea and he is the one who LOVES “YOU” first. “….HE FIRST LOVED US…” (1 John 4:19 ASV).

The covenant relationship WORKS as long as both parties STAY or ABIDE TOGETHER. “…abide in me, and I in you…” (John 15:4 KJV).

God said to his people at the CHURCH of EPHESUS: “…I have this against you …you have left your first love…” (Revelation 2:4). He said “

The Church of Ephesus was STILL “doing” all the things that appeared to result from the covenant relationship they shared with God, but in their “HEARTS” they had actually LEFT, or departed from, or separated from FIRST LOVE (God, the Holy Spirit). “….HE FIRST LOVED [you]…” (1 John 4:19 ASV). “…you have left your first love (god, the holy spirit)…” (revelation 2:4) NASB).

FIRST love comes from god, the holy spirit and his kind of love is expressed in 1 corinthians chapter 13. “…God is love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV).  “…Love is patient … [God’s]…love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. … [God’s grace-filled]…love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

Thus, when you truly love; god’s kind of love will be the standard. “We love, because HE FIRST LOVED US…” (1 John 4:19 ASV).

God, the holy spirit “IS” your first love.“…God is  [first] love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…not that we loved God, but that he [first] loved [you]...” (1 John 4:10 KJV).  

God, the holy spirit will love you forever. “…[Nothing]…will be able to separate [you[ from the [first] love of God, …”(Romans 8:31-39 NASB). He has “….loved [you]...with an everlasting  [first] love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). “…There is no greater  [first] LOVE …” (John 15:13 NLT).

God, the holy spirit, sent  his son to demonstrate his love for you. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…Herein is love …God …sent His Son to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…He loved [you] and sent his Son …” (1 John 4:10 NIV).  “… [He sent the ] …one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “….Apart from [the Holy Spirit], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

God, the holy spirit’s  son (the WORD) would ERASE everything that could prevent God from JOINING himself into a covenant relationship with YOU. “…He that is joined (JOINED) unto the Lord (Jesus) is ONE spirit…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “… [God’s FIRST] Love [for you] … is the perfect BOND of unity...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB). “…He that is JOINED unto the Lord…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).

  “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). God, the holy spirit makes it possible for you to be in “loving” covenant relationship with him through “salvation.” God, “….[was] …not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV). “… AS MANY as received him, to them GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on his name…” (John 1:12 KJV). “…WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved...” (Romans 10:13 KJV). “…YE ARE “ALL” CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH “IN” (or dependence upon) CHRIST JESUS. …There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for YE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS…” (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV). “…God SHOWS NO FAVORITISM.  In every nation HE ACCEPTS those who fear him and do what is right. This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel—that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all…” (Acts 10:34-36 NLT). “…Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no RESPECTER OF PERSONS: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)…” (Acts 10:34-36 KJV).

 “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). salvation allows god, the holy spirit, to remove all barriers so he can “love” you freely!! ).  “… [He sent the ] …one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place (to the Holy God)…” (Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT). “Jesus saith…I am the way…” (John 14:6 KJV).).  “…What we have RECEIVED is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has FREELY given us. …” (2 Corinthians 2:12-15 KJV).  “….Apart from [the Holy Spirit], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

God, the holy spirit, loveS continuously, because that is his divine nature. “…There is no greater love …” (John 15:13 NLT). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [FIRST]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [HOLY]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).  

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). god, the holy spirit, confirms his love through many acts of grace “…BY GRACE have ye been SAVED THROUGH FAITH…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…I will save you that you may BECOME A BLESSING (an act of grace)....” (Zechariah 8:13 KJV).“…you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (an act of grace)…” (1 Peter 3:9 NIV). “…you will be a blessing (an act of Grace)…” (Genesis 12:2 NIV).“….God has blessed (an act of grace), and I cannot reverse it!” (Numbers 23:20 NLT).  “…THY BLESSING (an act of GRACE) is upon THY PEOPLE…” (Psalms 3:8 KJV). “…YOU MAKE [your people] “MOST” BLESSED (an act of GRACE) forever; …” (Psalms 21:6 NASB). “…BLESSINGS (an act of GRACE) are on the head of the righteous (God’s people)…” (Proverbs 10:6 NASB).  “…You surround [them] WITH FAVOR (an act of GRACE) as with a shield…” (Psalms 5:12 NASB). “…by the GRACE of God I am what I am…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “…by the GRACE of God [you are]…what [you are]…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

 “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). god, the holy spirit, desired to be yoked together or in a covenant relationship with “you.” God says: “…Be ye NOT unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV). HOWEVER, “…There is … one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…The grace of our Lord was poured out (transferred) on [mankind]… abundantly, along with faith and love that are in (when joined to) Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV). “…BY GRACE have [mankind]… been saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF … [them]SELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD (THE HOLY SPIRIT)…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“… [There is] … one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “… Apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “… [You] … can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth … [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…It is God who works in [you]… to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). god, the holy spirit went through a lot – which is demonstrated through jesus - to reconcile “YOU” to himself. …God so loved the world, that HE GAVE his only begotten (specially created) Son …” (John 3:16 KJV).  “…He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV). “…Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV). .““...Whosoever believeth in him (depend upon him) should not perish, but have everlasting life…” (John 3:16 KJV). “… [There is] … one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…This is love…” (1 John 4:10 NLT). “…God is [YOUR FIRST]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…There is no greater love …” (John 15:13 NLT).

DIED for sins … that He might bring us [BACK] to God…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “… Christ DIED for our sins according to the scriptures; And ... he was buried, and …he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV). “…BY GRACE … [you are] …saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “….God …now commandeth all men every where to REPENT…” (Acts 17:30 KJV). “… REPENT AND RETURN, “SO” that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB). “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV). “…BY GRACE … [you are] …saved …NOT of WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). god, the holy spirit declares, demonstrates and confirms his love and commitment to you by joining himself to you through a covenant relationship. Therefore, “…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE spirit (or united with God, the Holy Spirit in a covenant relationship)…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). HOW? “…The Lord (Jesus, the Word, which is also Spirit) is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…God [sends]… forth the Spirit of His Son (the WORD, which is also SPIRIT) “INTO” [YOUR]… HEARTS (part of the SOUL)…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…Jesus Christ (the WORD, which is also SPIRIT) is … [NOW] … in (joined to) you…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…He is faithful and just to forgive [your] sins, and to cleanse [you] … from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “… [God]… [considers]…[you] ACCEPTED in (when joined to) the beloved (Jesus Christ, the Word, which is also SPIRIT)…” (Ephesians 1:6 KJV). Therefore, “…if Christ (the Word) be in (be joined to) you… [then] …the Lord …[is] … in your presence (and “YOU” are in (joined to) his presence) …” (Romans 8:10 KJV & Exodus 33:16-23 NIV).  “… [Jesus, (the WORD) sets]… me in (or joins me to) [god’s] … presence forever…” (Psalms 44:12 NASB). “…YOU (God) MAKE HIM (her) “MOST” BLESSED forever … in (when joined to) YOUR PRESENCE…” (Psalms 21:6 NASB).

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). When god, the holy spirit joins himself to, in a covenant relationship, it saves your soul. “ …[you] … have this treasure (his holy indwelling spirit)  in (joined to) earthen vessels, that the excellency of the (SAVING) power may be of God, and not of us...” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV). “… [The WORD]… It is the power of God at work , saving everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). YOU ARE “…saved … NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). When god, the holy spirit joins himself He Confirms his holiness. “… I AM HOLY (set apart & absolutely FREE from sin)…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV).  And, “There is none holy as the Lord…” (1 Samuel 2:2 KJV).  “… [God’s indwelling Spirit is]…for our profit, that [we] might be partakers (participants) of his HOLINESS...” (Hebrews 12:10 KJV).  “…there is none like unto thee…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). He is “…majestic in HOLINESS…” (Exodus 15:11 KJV). “…[God is] … very GREAT; [He is] … clothed in SPLENDER and MAJESTY, Covering [Him]self … with LIGHT as with a cloak…”(Psalm 104:1-2 NASB). “…there is none like unto thee…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “…His radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand…” (Habakkuk 3:4.NASB. “… His … [Holiness] … is above earth and heaven…” (Psalms 148:13 NASB). “…. the whole earth is full of [your HOLY]…glory (presence)…” (Isaiah 6:3). “There is none holy as the Lord…” (1 Samuel 2:2 KJV). “…Be holy, because I am holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV). 

IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AGAIN. 

THE BARRIER OF SIN IS REMOVED WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT JESUS (the Word, which is SPIRIT) INTO YOUR HEART AND BECOME A NEW CREATION FREED FROM SIN.

THE COVENANT RELATIONSHIP IS A RESULT OF RESTORING THE SOUL BACK TO WHOLESNESS THROUGH SALVATION. 

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS JOINED AND SEALED TO YOU THROUGH  LOVE, THE PERFECT "BOND" OF UNITY.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS FOREVER CONNECTED TO YOU THROUGH THE SPIRIT.
