“…Now FAITH IS the substance of things hoped for, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

The Christian journey is a journey of faith. Christians are told to both live and walk by faith. “…walk by faith...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…live by faith, not by sight….” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).

Christians are encouraged to live and walk by faith in God and his Word, which is Jesus Christ. “…the WORD (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” (JOHN 1:14). “…thy WORD (Jesus) is truth” (JOHN 17:17 KJV). “…Let the WORD of Christ dwell in you richly” (COLOSSIANS 3:16 KJV).

From the very beginning of a Believers Christian journey they encounter faith. “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). Let’s look at the description of faith through Hebrews 11:1. “…Now FAITH IS the substance of things hoped for, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

 “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). Faith COMES from, or STEMS from, or originates from, or emanates from HEARING the GOSPEL.

Again, faith comes from where? “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). By hearing the word of God or the gospel message a person EMPOWERS or ACTIVATES indwelling faith.  The Word is FAITH’s SOURCE of FUEL or POWER. “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing [the WORD]…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith….” (Romans 12:3 KJV). “…John answered and said, A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it be GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…RECEIVE with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV).The Apostle said, “…My message and MY PREACHING were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration OF THE SPIRIT AND OF POWER, so that YOUR FAITH would not rest on the wisdom of men, but ON THE POWER OF GOD…” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NASB).

It is the Gospel message that wields the POWER to save souls, not a conglomeration of clever, persuasive, manipulative talk. “…For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of POWER…” (1 Corinthians 4:20 NIV). “…Our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with POWER…” (1 Thessalonians 1:5 NIV).

Hearing the Word or gospel message produces, imparts, or gives birth to faith that SAVES. "…RECEIVE …the engrafted word, which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV) The WORD OF GOD is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…For you have been born again … through the living and enduring WORD of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV).

 It empowers, fuels, and activates A SAVING faith that WORKS or GIVES BIRTH to SALVATION. The WORD OF GOD is ““…The Holy Spirit ... [which] ... gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).   “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).

Salvation means that you have been rescued from God’s wrath and judgement and will not get what you actually deserve, which is death. “…ALL HAVE SINNED and fallen short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23). “…the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

Salvation demonstrates God’s love and desire to deliver you from sin and death. “…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son...the just for the unjust...that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (be punished)…” (John 3:16 KJV & 1 Peter 3:18 NASB). God “….is …not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).

The WORD OF GOD is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). If the Word or Gospel is the “POWER” of God” that result in salvation then salvation is not obtained by one’s own efforts, or one’s human faith or one’s own self.

If you could obtain salvation by your own efforts, your own human faith, or by your own self then Christ would not have had a need to die on the cross. “For Christ …. died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “… Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And ...he was buried, and …he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).

So what is your part in salvation? Since sinners CAN’T obtain salvation through their own efforts or own human faith; they willfully choose to RECEIVE or take possession of this gift of God. “…RECEIVE with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…For it has been GRANTED TO YOU on behalf of Christ ….to believe in him…” (Philippians 1:29 NIV). “…It is BECAUSE OF HIM that you are in Christ Jesus… Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31 NIV). “….God HAS GRANTED (allowed) repentance that leads to life…” (Acts 11:18 NIV).

Salvation DOES NOT depend on human effort or human faith whatsoever. It requires that God and God alone impart spiritual life to the DEAD sinner. You were “…separated from the LIFE of God…” (Ephesians 4:18 NIV). “…DEAD in trespasses and sin…” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV). “…YOU… were DEAD in YOUR transgressions and sins…” (Ephesians 2:1 NIV). “…YOU were DEAD in your sins and ... [NOW]…God made you ALIVE with Christ. He forgave [you]… all [your]… sins…” (Colossians 2:13 NIV).

God “….made [you]… ALIVE with Christ  …” (Ephesians 2:5 NIV). Like the prodigal son, “… [YOU  [were]…. DEAD and [you have been made]… ALIVE AGAIN; [you were]… lost and [have been]… found…” (Luke 15:24 NIV).

If you were made “ALIVE AGAIN” then you were DEAD. The sinner was a spiritually DEAD sinner. “….YOU USED TO LIVE in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. ….just like everyone else…” (Ephesian 2:2-3 NLT).

However, “…It is the SPIRIT who gives LIFE; the (sinful) flesh profits nothing…” (John 6:63 NASB). “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT, and they ARE LIFE…” (John 6:63 KJV).  “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).   AND “…The Lord is that Spirit…” too (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).). “Jesus saith…I am …THE LIFE…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “….apart from [Jesus,] you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

 “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT, and they ARE LIFE…” (John 6:63 KJV). The WORD OF GOD is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…You have been born again … through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV). “…the Word (Jesus) was made flesh...” (JOHN 1:14). “Jesus saith…I am …THE LIFE…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

Salvation requires “the POWER of God.” ^“Now may the God of peace … that great Shepherd of the sheep, EQUIP you with EVERYTHING (SALVATION) good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

It is the WORD OF GOD that has the POWER to wroth salvation. “…RECIEVE with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV).

 “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).  The WORD OF GOD is what makes salvation possible and real. The WORD is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). Can you SEE salvation? Yet, are you saved?  

When the GOSPEL is heard divine FAITH comes to EMPOWER individuals to be saved. “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). The GOSPEL is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).  “…For you have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV). “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

Your Christian faith, originates from the indwelling Holy Spirit and it is the evidence of what you do NOT see. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the things that are made…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is [made into]… a NEW creature … all things are become NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

Again, “… [The] Good News about Christ. It is the POWER of God at work, SAVING everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Do you physically SEE the relationship you have with God? “…a right relationship with God … comes by faith…” (Romans 4:13 NASB). “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).  

Therefore, “…God hath dealt to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing [the GOSPEL]…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ…” (Galatians 2:16 NLT).

Your first encounter with Christian faith COMES when you HEAR the GOSPEL of salvation. “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing [the GOSPEL]…” (Roman 10:17 KJV).

The GOSPEL “IS” “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).  “… [The] Good News about Christ. It is the POWER of God at work, saving everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV)

 The bible doesn’t SAY ANY PART OF YOUR HUMAN EFFORT or HUMAN FAITH SAVES you; it says you are saved BY GRACE through FAITH. “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). AGAIN, “….NOT OF YOURSELVES,…not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Did you SEE something while you were being SAVED? Are you saved? If you said yes you are saved; your indwelling faith is working. “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).  “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

It is indwelling faith (the evidence of things unseen) that empowers, after HEARING the WORD, you to experience the “…POWER of God unto salvation…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).  OR“…a right relationship with God that comes by faith…” (Romans 4:13 NASB). “…A person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ…” (Galatians 2:16 NLT). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Indwelling faith (the evidence of things unseen) is given or planted like a seed, by God.  “…it is the gift of God; …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit GIVES birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

The bible clearly emphasizes Christian faith as a “gift of God’ and eliminates any misunderstanding that the glory and credit for salvation goes to anyone, BUT God. “…it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

No “man should glory” or boast that they did ANYTHING to obtain salvation. “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

 “…No man [or woman]… should glory” about his or her salvation outside of Jesus Christ (Ephesian 2:8-9 ASV). Here’s WHY: “The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.  And I know that NOTHING GOOD lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t.

I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong.  I [am] …a slave to the sin that is … within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am!

Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin? …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

“…The answer is in Jesus Christ…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross are you are saved through Christian faith. “…Even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together^]with Christ (by grace you have been saved), ….and [that God]…might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity…” (Ephesians 2:5, 16 NASB).

Therefore, “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). AND “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing [the GOSPEL]…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…it is the gift of God; …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “… [One of]… the fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

Apostle Paul provides an example of spiritual, indwelling Christian faith and totally understood it was transferred to him by God via grace. “…Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, ALONG WITH FAITH and love that are “IN” Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV).

“…ALONG WITH FAITH and love that are “IN” Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV).

Apostle Paul said indwelling Christian FAITH was “poured out” or transferred to him IN Christ Jesus. Where is Christ Jesus? IN YOU. “…Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…Christ in you, …” (Colossians 1:27 KJV). “…the Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

Salvation, by HEARING the WORD, imparts Christian FAITH, which is a GIFT. “…it is the gift of God; …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). HEARING the gospel empowers those who are “…DEAD in trespasses and sin…” and IT IS “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 & Ephesians 2:1 KJV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

You and every other believer were saved by grace THROUGH Christian faith. “….For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not RECEIVE? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” (1 Corinthians 4:6 NIV).  “…For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?” (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).

“…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). One of the “…the fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). Therefore, divine faith “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “… [One of]… the fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).

The faith that saved you is the SAME faith that sustains you throughout your Christian journey. “…The Lord ….he shall SUSTAIN thee…” (Psalms 55:22 KJV). “…HE “WILL” KEEP YOU STRONG to the end…” (1 Corinthians 1:8 NLT). “…walk by faith...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…live by faith, not by sight….” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…Jesus [is]… the AUTHOR and FINISHER OF [your indwelling]… FAITH…” (Hebrews 12:2a KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN YOU WILL “PERFORM” IT until the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV). ^“…God …works in you TO WILL and TO ACT in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….apart from Me (JESUS), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

Every day you can “…walk BY [indwelling]…FAITH...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…It is God who works IN YOU TO WILL and TO ACT in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

Indwelling faith is a spiritual gift. “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…Now God gives us many kinds of special abilities, but it is …God who does the work IN AND THROUGH all of us who are his… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

Indwelling faith is also a FRUIT of the SPIRIT. “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, FAITH, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…the Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…the Lord is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

“….I CAN DO (walk in faith) all things THROUGH Christ which strengtheneth me…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).

“…Walk BY [indwelling]…FAITH...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…It shall be done to you ACCORDING TO YOUR [indwelling]…FAITH…" (Matthew 9:29 NASB).

 “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). The WORD of God is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…FAITH… COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…One of those LISTENING was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord OPENED her heart to respond to Paul's message” (Act 16:14 NIV). “…It is written in the prophets, 'AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.' Every one that hath HEARD and hath LEARNED of the Father, cometh to me…” (John 6:45 KJV). “…Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, HEAR THE WORD of the Lord! …the bones came together, bone to bone...’” (Ezekiel 37 NIV).

“…NO ONE can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” (John 6:44 KJV). “…NO MAN can come unto me, except it were GIVEN unto him of my Father…” (John 6:65 KJV). “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…John answered and said, A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV).  “…He (Jesus) went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them…” (John 6:65 NIV).

 “…Every one that hath HEARD and hath LEARNED of the Father, cometh to me…” (John 6:45 KJV). “…Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “… [The] Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who BELIEVES…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shall be saved…” (Acts 16:31KJV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved THROUGH… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…A man can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). Therefore, if you “…confess with [your]…mouth the Lord Jesus, and … believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…” (ROMANS 10:9 KJV). “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house…” (ACTS 16:31 KJV).  “…Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God…” (ACTS 8:37 KJV). The WORD of God is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God…” (1 John 4:2-4 KJV).

A new convert HEARS the GOSPEL message first and then believes in Jesus Christ. “…Every one that hath HEARD and hath LEARNED of the Father, cometh to me…” (John 6:45 KJV). “…NO ONE can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” (John 6:44 KJV).

God’s divine faith empowers salvation or the enablement to believe in Jesus Christ. After hearing the word, faith comes, and the POWER of God SAVES the sinner. The WORD of God is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).

You are saved from your sins because Christ died for you. “… Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And ...he was buried, and …he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).

You now have eternal life and the invisible, powerful, indwelling Holy Spirit is in you. “…The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV).  “…the Spirit of God dwell[s]… IN YOU…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).  “…walk by faith...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…live by faith, not by sight….” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).

Did you SEE Jesus Christ die for your sins? Have you SEEN eternal life? Do you SEE or always FEEL the indwelling Holy Spirit? “…the invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are MADE …” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “…Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature …all things are become NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

If you said NO, to the above questions, then you know Christ died, and you know you have eternal life and you know you have the indwelling Spirit. In addition,  you know you are experiencing the empowering divine faith, which is the evidence of things UNSEEN. “…FAITH IS …THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).  

“…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). The spiritual life can NOT begin without the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved THROUGH… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). The WORD of God is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).

Christians struggle with faith because it is not a tangible reality, but a supernatural one. God gives you a measure of his OWN faith. “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV).

 God gives birth of plants indwelling Holy Spirit into the heart of believer and sustains that faith through Jesus Christ. “…The Holy Spirit GIVES birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…Jesus [is]… the AUTHOR and FINISHER OF [indwelling… FAITH…” (Hebrews 12:2a KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN YOU WILL “PERFORM” IT until the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV).

It is indwelling faith that empowers you. ^“…God …works in you TO WILL and TO ACT in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….Apart from Me (JESUS), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

Indwelling faith is gifted to you and once it is gifted to you and you receive it; it’s your faith. “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…John answered and said, A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it be given him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit GIVES birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). Indwelling faith received from God is NOW“MY” faith also.“…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God…” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). “…the righteous shall live by his faith…” (Habakkuk 2:4 NASB).

EVERYTHING God GIVES us is spiritual. ALL of SPIRITUAL LIFE originates from God. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Holy Spirit GIVES birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…John answered and said, A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it be GIVEN HIM FROM HEAVEN…” (John 3:27 KJV). “… NO ONE can come to me UNLESS the Father HAS ENABLED THEM…” (John 6:65 NIV).

“…the WORD (Jesus) was made FLESH, and dwelt among us...” (JOHN 1:14). “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).“…The Lord (Jesus, the Word) is …Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).

The WORD of God is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “….the GOD of Israel is he that GIVETH strength and POWER UNTO HIS PEOPLE…” (Psalms 68:35 KJV). “…SUMMON YOUR POWER, God; SHOW US YOUR STRENGTH, our God, as you have done before…” (Psalms 68:28 NASB).

God’s holy power is in a category all on its own. Ancient Greek calls it dunamis power. There are a lot of names given to define power, BUT NONE MATCHES THAT OF GOD'S POWER. “… There is NONE like unto thee, O LORD; thou art GREAT, and thy name is great in might.…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…POWER belongeth unto God...” (Psalms 62:11 NIV).

There are many examples of power, many definitions of power, but none of those powers are comparable to the POWER of God. “… There is NONE like unto thee, O LORD;” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). No matter who holds positions of power; ultimately all power BELONGS to God. “…POWER belongeth unto God...” (Psalms 62:11 NIV).

If one possesses power of any kind, it was given to him by God. “…There is NO POWER but of God: THE POWERS that be are ordained of God…” (Romans 13:1 KJV). “….[God]…changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding…” (Daniel 2:21 KJV).

“…In order that the living may know That the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, And bestows it on whom He wishes `…” (Daniel 4:17 NASB). “…Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above…” (John 19:22 NIV).

ALL “…POWER belongeth unto God...” (Psalms 62:11 NIV). “…The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein…” (Psalm 24:1 KJV). “…for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof…” (Psalm 50:12 KJV). “…all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine…” (1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV).

The WORD of God is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). God’s dunamis power is also translated as miraculous power, especially since it extends far and abundantly above normal, common human power or capability. God “… is able TO DO exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV).

Jesus displayed that POWER. “…Jesus realized that POWER had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering…” (Mark 5:30-34 NIV).  “…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER, and how he went around doing good and healing all ….because God was with him…” (Acts 10:38 NIV).

God used others to display that POWER too. “…Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and POWER, performed great wonders and signs among the people…” (Acts 6:8 NIV).  “…God did extraordinary MIRACLES (power) through Paul…” (Acts 19:11 NIV). “…I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and MIRACLES (power)…” (2 Corinthians 12:12 NIV).

“…Now God GIVES US many kinds of special abilities, but it is the same HOLY SPIRIT who is the SOURCE of them all. …it is the same God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his. The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each of us … It is the same and only Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and POWERS… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

“…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13 :8 NIV). “…Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father…” (John 14:1 KJV). ^“…That great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work “IN US” what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which worketh IN YOU both to will and to do of his good pleasure…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).

You can’t physically SEE the indwelling faith, but you can SEE it working THROUGH God's people. Noah’S FAITH worked THROUGH him.

Noah built A BOAT. REMEMBER“…the invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world …clearly seen, … [IS] …understood by the things that are made…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). NOAH MADE A BOAT OR ARK.

When faith works “THROUGH” people you can witness it by their deeds. THEIR DEEDS are MOTIVATED BY INDWELLING FAITH and will be “…clearly seen…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). Noah built a boat and people SAW the boat being built. “…I will show you MY FAITH by my deeds...” (JAMES 2:18 NIV).

WHAT NOAH WAS REALLY “DEMONSTRATING” to US is HOW THE INDWELLING SPIRIT OF FAITH  “WORKS” THROUGH GOD’S PEOPLE WHEN HE OR SHE “HEARS” THE WORD OF GOD.

LET’S NOT FORGET THAT God, OBVIOUSLY, has FAITH in the POWER of his OWN word. GOD DEMONSTRATED LEADERSHIP BY HAVING FAITH IN HIS OWN WORD THROUGH HIS DEEDS “… God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB). God commanded with faith in his OWN word. Jesus spoke WITH FAITH IN GOD’S command. The Holy Spirit PERFORMED WITH FAITH IN GOD’S COMMAND. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A LOYAL, uncompromising SERVANT TO GOD’S WORD.

God has absolute and complete faith in his OWN WORD. God says, “…MY WORD  … SHALL NOT return unto me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I please…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). God says, I “…am WATCHING over my word to PERFORM it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).

The FATHER’s WORD is POWER AND He gives you “… [a] … measure of … [his own] …faith...” (Romans 12:3 KJV). ^“…God… works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….Apart from (Jesus, God’s WORD), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

IT IS THE FATHER’S  “powerful” WORD THAT “… is able TO DO exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). It is the father’s “powerful” word THAT IS AT WORK SAVING EVERYONE THAT BELIEVES (Romans 1:16 KJV).  It is the father’s “powerful” word that makes“…things which are impossible with men … POSSIBLE …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).  “…is there any thing too hard for ... [GOD[ ...?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).  “…his divine power HATH “GIVEN” unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto LIFE and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). “…eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into [the human]… heart … the things which God HATH prepared for [you]...” (1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV). “…Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” (Romans 1:3 KJV). “…[jesus]… came that …[you] … may have LIFE, and have it abundantly...” (John 10:10 KJV).

HIS WORDS are TRUSTWORTHY. “…[his words are a] …TRUSTWORTHY anchor for our souls…” (HEBREWS 6:19 NLT). “Everything you have heard (HIM SAY)… is TRUSTWORTHY and true…” (REVELATION 22:6 NLT).

HIS WORD WON’T DISAPPOINT you. “…the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED…" (ROMANS 10:11 NASB).

THEREFORE, “… [SURRENDER] ...trust in the Lord with all thine heart…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).  “…The LORD “WILL” … [take care of] … that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “...he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).   “….IS THERE ANY ROCK LIKE OUR GOD…..” (1 SAMUEL 2:2 KJV).

 “…It was BY FAITH that Noah BUILT A LARGE BOAT to save his family from the flood. He … [Heard the word of] … God, who warned him about things that had never happened before….” (Hebrews 11 NLT).

Noah had never heard of a flood, but he heeded God’s warning. “…He [HEARD] … God….” (Hebrews 11 NLT). Noah’s FAITH came by hearing God’s word. Faith worked “THROUGH” Noah and empowered him to do something that everyone around could witness. “…It was BY FAITH that Noah BUILT a boat (ark) ….” (Hebrews 11 NLT). 

Noah started building the boat (ARK) BEFORE a flood was ever heard of. Remember the HOLY SPIRIT “DOES” everything just as JESUS SPEAKS AND God commands. Now that SAME Holy Spirit is working through NOAH. “…The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). …Noah did everything just as God commanded him…” (Genesis 6:9-22 NIV).

THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERED Noah TO walk by faith for 120 years.

“…God … warned him about things that had never happened before….” (Hebrews 11 NLT). Noah was empowered BY FAITH and even though he had never seen a flood; he built an ark. He knew, by faith, it was coming because God had warned him.

Building the boat, based on God’s word alone was faith working THROUGH Noah. “…Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…It is God which worketh in you both to will and to do.. ” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).

God works IN and THROUGH EVERY believer. “…God which worketh in you both to will and to do…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).

A believer is empowered by the indwelling spirit. God’s indwelling HOLY SPIRIT is working IN and THROUGH them.“…the invisible [Spirit is]……CLEARLY SEEN,…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “…[she] …will show you … [her] .. FAITH by ..[her] … deeds...” (JAMES 2:18 NIV).

“…God … [has GIVEN] ..… to every … [saved man or woman] … THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV).  “…The fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” and is the EVIDENCE of things unseen (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).
