MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, THE MIRACLE IS "IN" THE ROUTINE!!

BORING OR MIRACLE?

   THE MIRACLE IN ROUTINE DAYS!

Routine gives people their sense of security or control where skills, abilities, and self-discipline can grow and develop in a safe, fairly stationary, or predictable place. “…Jesus said to the crowd, “…I was there teaching EVERY DAY…” (Matthew 26:55 NLT). “…And EVERY DAY, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah….” (Acts 5:42 NLT). Based on the demands or necessities of their day, people, personally, choose which task, step, or procedure MUST be completed BEFORE the day is DONE. Routine brings up words like dull, dismal, monotonous, boring, and mundane. Most people see routine as inflexible, unexciting, constraining, obligatory, limiting, and often without spontaneity. However, routine develops an individual’s self-discipline by increasing their efficiency through repetitiveness, it builds momentum, it produces positive or negative habits, and can turn willpower into automation. In routine, increasing efficiency means the more you do certain, tasks, steps, or procedures the more they becomes an automatic or effortless way of life. Walking, talking, feeding yourself, dressing yourself, and proper hygiene are ALL behaviors that have become effortless. Building momentum means small tasks, steps, or procedures done on a routines basis can end up reaping big benefits in the long run. For instance, saving $100 a month can turn into $1,200 dollars a year. Producing habits come from automations in which you have chosen as a routine task, step, or procedure that may or may not be good for you, for your health, for your family, or for your goals in life. Routine exercising is a good habit. Turning willpower into automation means essential, routine tasks, steps, or procedures eventually becomes SO automated they will bypass willpower altogether. Walking becomes so automated you can do it without motivation.
When God-ordained ROUTINE tasks, steps, or procedures are moving you forward to a particular GOAL, but seems to TAKE forever or as if NOTHING is happening, how does routine begin to mirror living by faith. “…HOPE that is seen is not HOPE: for what a man (or woman) seeth; why doth he (or she) yet HOPE for: But if we HOPE for that we see not, THEN do we with patience WAIT for it…” (Romans 8:24-25 KJV). “…Walk by faith...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…Live by faith, not by sight….” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…FAITH IS the EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). One of the MIRACLES of ROUTINES is that you are witnessing and participating in walking by FAITH by allowing repetitive, boring, monotonous tasks, steps, or procedures to move you forward regardless of what you SEE in the natural. “…Live by faith, not by sight….” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).
Research has shown that routine has created geniuses because there are very few or minimal distractions. In routine the mind can concentrate on a task, step, or procedure in a safe, dependable, or distraction-free atmosphere that allows the mind to focus on the experience. When there are few distractions the mind can focus on routine tasks, steps, or procedures that move them forward to particular GOAL. When routine tasks, steps, or procedures are interrupted it STOPS the process required to reach the desired GOAL altogether. Stopping the process can become counter-productive because it is DOING the tasks, steps, or procedures that move you forward which are essential to reaching a desired GOAL in life. Routine tasks, steps, or procedures can and will include many days of dull, dismal, monotonous, and mundane. However, God-ordained routine is one of your greatest blessings and miracles EVER. God-ordained routine yields focus, and focus yields experience, and experience yields automated behaviors, and automated behaviors yields transformation. “…In this world we are like Jesus…” (1 John 4:17 NIV). God-ordained routine plays an important role in a PROCESS with a PURPOSE, especially when it comes to the GOAL of becoming conformed to the image of God’s son.…God …predestined [you] to be conformed to the image of his Son…” (Romans 8:29 NIV). “…be transformed BY the renewing of your mind….” (Romans 12:1 KJV).PROCESS with a PURPOSE is when God intervenes on the routine activities in your life to include tasks, steps, procedures that are essential to your spiritual growth, development, and calling in life. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way” (Psalms 37:23 KJV).
What tasks, steps, or procedures transformed King Nebuchadnezzar’s life? “… He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird…” (Daniel 4 NLT). Suddenly, King Nebuchadnezzar’s ENTIRE routine was drastically changed. He needed to learn a NEW behavior such as humility toward God. “…At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation …Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble…” (Daniel 4 NIV). King Nebuchadnezzar’s seven year PROCESS had a PURPOSE. “…Seven times (years) will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes… Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven…” (Daniel 4 NIV). The MIRACLE of the King’s HUMILITY came out of NEW routine tasks, steps, or procedures. The PROCESS took seven years of boring and mundane God-ordained routine days where he “… was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird...” BEFORE he became HUMBLED (the GOAL) (Daniel 4 NLT). God-ordained, routine days is about TRANSFORMING a man or woman’s HEART/MIND/ACTIONS through miraculous interventions.  “...God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at THE HEART”(1 Samuel 16:7 NASB). God zooms in on the “…hidden man of the heart…” (1 Peter 3:4 KJV).The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way” (Psalms 37:23 KJV).
