THE MIRACLE TO CHOOSE

“… I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore…[you]… choose life…” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV).

“… I have set before you LIFE and death, blessing and cursing: therefore…[you]… choose LIFE…” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV).“… I want to do what is right, but I can’t … I [am] …a slave to the sin that is … within me …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…you become the slave of whatever you choose to [follow after]?….” (Romans 6:16 NLT).  “… We know … the whole world lies under the power of the evil one…” (1 John 5:19 RSV).

“…If the Son (jesus)…shall make you FREE, ye shall be FREE indeed.” (John 8:36 KJV).

“…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin (or by the evil one)? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).  “….Apart from … [JESUS] … [YOU] … can do nothing (you can NOT be free to choose)…” (John 15:5 NIV).

"...Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree…” (Galatians 3:13 KJV). “… I have set before you  … blessing and cursing: therefore …[you]… choose …” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to, voluntarily and willfully, use your human will to choose the OPPOSITE of God’s grace and blessings and God’s will and plan for your life.

“… it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree…” (Galatians 3:13 KJV). “…the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). Centuries ago when certain crimes were committed they were punishable by DEATH.

One of those deaths was to be hanged upon on a tree; sometimes all night so the public could see and it would hopefully discouraged other people from committing crimes. It was a shameful death. Further, a hanged person was considered cursed by God. “…the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

However, “…Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law …” (Galatians 3:13 KJV), “… He personally carried our sins [and our curses]… in his body on the cross… By his wounds you are healed…” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT). “…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son...the just for the unjust...that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (be punished)…” (John 3:16 KJV & 1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “… Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And ...he was buried, and …he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).

“…not that we loved God, but that he loved us and SENT HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). GOD “…SPARED NOT his own Son, but DELIVERED him up FOR US ALL…” (Romans 8:32 KJV). ^“…God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by “SENDING” Christ to die for us WHILE we were still sinners…” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…There is no GREATER LOVE than to lay down one’s life…” (John 15:13 NLT). “…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

The believers, themselves, are “NOT” and can NOT be cursed. “…I have received a command to bless, he has blessed, and I cannot change it…” (Number 23:20 NIV). “…Behold I have received a command to bless. When he has blessed, then I cannot revoke it…” (Numbers 23:20 NASB).

 “…God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill…” (Numbers 23:19 NIV)? “…Not one of all the LORD's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled” (Joshua 21:45 NIV). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

CHOICES become CURSE-like when a believer – uses their human will - to voluntarily and willingly choose their OWN way over God’s WAY. “…he has blessed, and I cannot change it…” (Number 23:20 NIV).

In the OT when God’s people CHOSE unrighteousness they WERE “NOT” cursed, but their CHOICES were. “…IF you fully…[choose to] … obey the Lord your God and carefully … [choose to] … keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you … [choose to] … obey the Lord your God: …“BUT IF you … [choose not] … to listen to the Lord your God and … [choose] … not … [to] … obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you:…” (Deuteronomy 28 NLT). “… all these curses will come upon you and overtake you…” (Deuteronomy 28:15 KJV).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is an invitation for a CURSE-like experience to come to you. “… all these curses will come and overwhelm you:…” (Deuteronomy 28 NLT). “… all these curses will come  upon you and overtake you…” (Deuteronomy 28:15 KJV). “… All these curses will come down hard on you …” (Deuteronomy 28:15 MSG).

God’s WORD is beneficial for pointing the believer toward God’s will and God’s blessings, but it no longer pronounces them cursed; God’s love, in Christ Jesus, is the reason they are no longer cursed. “…Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law …” (Galatians 3:13 KJV). “… Christ has rescued us from the curse… When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing….” (Galatians 3:14 NLT). “… He personally carried our sins [and our curses]… in his body on the cross… By his wounds you are healed…” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT).

When CURSE-like experiences happen to God’s redeemed people who ARE “CHOOSING” BLESSINGS; God is “NOT” punishing them. “…The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord” (Job 1:7-12 NIV).

For those believers who are CHOOSING BLESSINGS, or WALKING by faith or depending upon him and in OBEDIENCE  or are following his instructions God will CAUSE “EVERY” curse-like experience to work together for GOOD. However, for those believers who are CHOOSING CURSINGS it will NOT work together for good! “…all things… together for GOOD to them that LOVE [HIM], to them who are THE CALLED to his purpose...” (Romans 8:28 KJV). Satan “…intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…” Genesis 50:20 NIV). “…BUT IF you … [choose not] … to listen to the Lord your God and … [choose] … not … [to] … obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you:…” (Deuteronomy 28 NLT).

CHOOSING CURSING is to voluntarily and willfully choose “NOT” to walk in God’s blessings. “…THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, that light is come into the world, and MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, because THEIR DEEDS (choices) WERE EVIL. For every one that doeth (chooses) evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds (choices) should be reproved…” (John 3:18-20 KJV).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to choose independent of God’s will and God’s plan. “… He who trusts in his own heart is a fool…” (Proverbs 28:26 NASB). “…my people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted (CHOSE), following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to voluntarily and willfully choose to ignore and reject God’s WORD and follow your OWN way. “…the people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to (choose to), stubbornly following (choosing) our own evil desires …” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to voluntarily and willfully choose to remove your OWN self from the BLESSINGS of God. “…If a man abide NOT in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned…” (John 15:6 KJV). “….Apart from Me (Jesus), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to voluntarily and willfully choose to FOLLOW your OWN way and NOT God’s WAY. “…my people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted (chose), following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is choosing the “GUARANTEED” condemnation declared by the sovereign God, whose TRUTH will STAND! “…THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, that light (truth) is come into the world, and MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT…” (John 3:18-20 KJV). “…My counsel (WORD)… SHALL stand, and I will do all my pleasure…” (Isaiah 46:10 KJV). “…Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY WORDS SHALL NOT pass away (die)…” (Matthew 24:35 KJV).

A curse ALWAYS proclaims supernatural HARM or CONDEMNATION, when DECLARED by God, and was usually a binding condition of the covenant relationship. “… But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. “Cursed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock. “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out…” (Deuteronomy 28:15-19 NASB).

Curses had purpose, were varied, and proved the sovereignty of God’s WORD. “… The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life…” (Genesis 3:14 NASB).

  “…So shall [his]… word be that goeth forth out of [his]… mouth: it shall not return unto [him]… void, but it shall accomplish that which [God]… please[s], and it shall prosper in the thing whereto [God]… sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV).

A curse, pronounced by God, in the Old Testament had the inherent POWER to the DO the harm it declared it would DO. “…Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made … failed; all came to pass…” (Joshua 21:45 NASB). God is “…watching over [his[… word to perform it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to choose voluntarily and willfully to INVITE harm, unhappiness, or trouble upon one’s self or the promised imprecation of condemnation.  “…THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION …” (John 3:18-20 KJV).

The declared curses pronounced by God, carried a POWERFUL effect and wroth the PROMISED outcome; such as in the following scriptures: “…To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children …” (Genesis 3:16 NASB).

“… Then to Adam He said …“Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life…” (Genesis 3:17 NASB).

“… Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.” And the Lord said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him…” (Genesis 4:14-15 NASB).

“…‘Curse Meroz,’ said the angel of the Lord, ‘Curse its inhabitants bitterly, Because they did not come to the help of the Lord, To the help of the Lord against the mighty.’…” (Judges 23:11 NASB).

“…My counsel (WORD)… SHALL stand, and I will do all my pleasure…” (Isaiah 46:10 KJV).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to choose to voluntarily and willfully bring harm, misfortune, grief, injury, or torment upon yourself. “… I have set before you … blessing and cursing: therefore choose …” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

People often say a LOVING God would NOT send or CURSE a person to HELL and it’s TRUE. God will NOT and does NOT send or CURSE people to HELL; they CHOOSE to go on their OWN. “… I have set before "YOU" … blessing and cursing: therefore choose …” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

God doesn’t WANT people cursed or condemned to perish in HELL. God “….is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should PERISH, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV). So the LOVING God sent HELP. “…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).

People CHOOSE to perish in HELL by their OWN human will. “…He that believeth on him is not condemned: but HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because HE HATH NOT BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, that light is come into the world, and MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, because THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved…” (John 3:18-20 KJV).

 “…the people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).

CHOOSING CURSING is NOT about God loving YOU; it is about YOU NOT loving God. “…The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt (disregard)?” (Daniel 14:11 NIV).

God is the ONE LOVING “YOU!” “… Herein is LOVE, not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US and sent His Son...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:6-8 NLT).

Therefore, “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV). “…My counsel (WORD)… SHALL stand…” (Isaiah 46:10 KJV).

“… [It is] … Christ … [that has] … redeemed us from the curse of the law …” (Galatians 3:13 KJV). “… Christ has rescued us from the curse… When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing….” (Galatians 3:14 NLT). “… He personally carried our sins [and our curses]… in his body on the cross… By his wounds you are healed…” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT).

God’s LOVE RESCUED you from ANY and ALL curses. “… Christ has rescued us from the curse… When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing….” (Galatians 3:14 NLT).

God’s LOVE made him send his SON and he spared NO COST. ^“… He loved us and SENT His SON to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our sins…” (1 John 4:10 KJV). HE “…spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all….?” (Romans 8:32 KJV).

God’s LOVE allows you to CHOOSE his blessing of salvation or choose to perish in hell. “… I have set before you … blessing and cursing: therefore choose …” (Deuteronomy 30:19). “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).

You may question God’s LOVE, but it is actually your LOVE, for your OWN self, that is in question. “…There is no greater LOVE than to lay down one’s life…” (John 15:13 NLT). “… whosoever believeth in him, SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life…” (John 3:16 KJV). “…therefore choose …” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to choose to voluntarily and willfully REJECT God’s LOVE and REJECT his awesome GIFT of SALVATION. “… choose  life…” (Deuteronomy 30:19).  “…Jesus saith…I am THE … life…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life….” (Mark 5:39-40). “… He who has the Son has the life …” (1 John 5:12 NASB).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to choose voluntarily and willfully, AFTER being SAVED, to REJECT God’s WAY to ABUNDANT living and BLESSINGS. “…my people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted, following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).

Everybody experiences CURSE-like events, situations, and circumstances. “..In the day of prosperity be happy, But in the day of adversity consider-- God has made the one as well as the other…” (Ecclesiastes 7:14  NASB).

Job asked an interesting question, “…Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” (Job 2:10 NIV). God’s ways, “…are past [our ability] to [find them] out…” (Romans 11:33 KJV).

However, God will turn his faithful people’s curse-like experiences into GOOD, but those who INVITE trouble into their lives by their willful CHOICES, to disobey, will suffer the consequences. “….all things work together for good to them that love God…” (ROMANS 8:28 KJV). BUT “…Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting…” (Galatians 6:7-8 NASB). “… Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life…” (Galatians 6:7-9 MSG).

CHOOSING CURSINGS is the same as voluntarily and willfully choosing to SOW a seed of curse. You WILL reap what you sow. “…Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  …” (Galatians 6:7-8 NASB). “… Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest…” (Galatians 6:7-9 MSG).

It takes a WHILE for a harvest to grow and it takes a WHILE for a CURSE to grow and come to pass. “… [But] … in the PROCESS of time IT … [will come] … TO PASS…” (Genesis 4:3 KJV).  “….HE IS ABLE… [and]…NO ONE can hold back his hand…” (Daniel 4 NIV).

Between the time a seed of SIN is SOWN and the HARVEST is reaped there is a “DECEPTIVE” period of PEACE and people THINK they have gotten away with their wrongdoings. “…Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily …the HEART of the sons of men is fully set in them to [continue to]… do evil….” (Ecclesiastes 8:11 KJV). “…While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape…” (1 Thessalonians 5:3 NASB). “… Let destruction come upon him unawares…” (Psalms 35:8 NASB). “…whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  …” (Galatians 6:7-8 NASB). “… IT … [will come] … TO PASS…” (Genesis 4:3 KJV).  

CHOOSING CURSINGS is to choose to be deceived and believe you are peacefully safe from the consequences of ANY wrongdoing. “…IT … [will come] … TO PASS…” (Genesis 4:3 KJV).  “…Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily …the HEART of the sons of men is fully set in them [unrepentant]… to do evil….” (Ecclesiastes 8:11 KJV). THUS, “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV). God “….is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance…” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).

God is“... RICH IN MERCY…” (Ephesians 2:1-5 KJV). “…HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…” (Micah 7:18 KJV). “…Mercy triumphs over judgement.” (James 2:13 NASB).

However, “...the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man…” (Genesis 6:3 KJV). “…They DID NOT like to retain God in their knowledge, GOD GAVE THEM OVER to a reprobate (sinner, wrong doer) mind…” (Romans 1:28 KJV).

Those who are CHOOSING CURSINGS, no matter HOW it APPEARS, are NOT prospering. DON’T ever envy them. “…Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass….the little that a righteous man hath is BETTER than the RICHES of the MANY wicked...” (Psalm 37:1-2,16 KJV).

The devil is a LIAR and WILL greatly DECEIVE those who are CHOOSING CURSINGS. Their MOMENT of disillusional peace and safety; won’t last. “…the wicked have drawn out the sword….their sword shall enter into their own hearts…the wicked shall perish….” (Psalm 37:14, 15, & 21 KJV).

FRET NOT; those CHOOSING CURSINGS are ALWAYS headed straight for CALAMITY and will soon be CUT OFF. “...Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and [continue to]…do good, so shalt thou dwell in the lands, and verily thou shall be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy ways unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth they righteousness as the light, and thy judgement as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him, FRET NOT thyself because of him [or her]…who prospereth in his[or her]… way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; FRET NOT thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be CUT OFF; but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace…" (Psalm 37:1-11 KJV).

 However, if you have been CHOOSING CURSINGS; there is forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “…For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more…" (Hebrews 8:12 NIV). His “…love covereth a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs 10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV).

God will completely and totally forgive you and will remember your sins NO more. You will be FREE to CHOOSE to live righteous and CHOOSE BLESSINGS. “…if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us…” (1 John 1:8 KJV). You are a totally new creation. “… [Yet]… if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). You have the indwelling Holy Spirit and can now bear God’s fruit. “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (self-control over your choices)…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).

You can live a life of true repentance. It is a progressively, transforming lifestyle. “…If we “SAY” that we have fellowship with him, and WALK IN DARKNESS (unrepentant), WE LIE, and DO NOT THE TRUTH…” (1 John 1:6 KJV). “…Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of REPENTANCE …What shall we do then? He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none…” (Luke 3:8-11 KJV). “…REPENT…” (Acts 17:30 KJV).

You are totally and completely forgiven. “…the will of God, [is]…your SANCTIFICATION (ongoing cleansing from sin)…” (1 Thessalonians 4:3 NASB). “…Be transformed (progressively) by the renewing of your mind….” (Romans 12:2 KJV). “…be conformed (progressively) to the image of his Son…” (ROMANS 8:29 KJV).

 “… [Therefore]… we all … are [being]… changed into the same image [of Christ] from glory to glory …” (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV). “…be holy, because I am holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).

“…by the grace of God I am what I am…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

The GOOD news is that if you are STILL breathing you have time to change your CHOICES through the open door of God’s GRACE and MERCY. “…“My grace is all you need. …” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT). “…Mercy triumphs over judgement.” (James 2:13 NASB). “… I have set before you LIFE and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose …” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV). 

THE MIRACLE IS THAT GOD SETS YOU "FREE" TO CHOOSE RIGHTEOUS LIVING AND TO CHOOSE THE BLESSINGS HE HAS FREELY GIVEN YOU.
