THE POWER OF GOD; YOU HAVE "ALREADY" EXPERIENCED IT. HOW?

YOU HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED THE POWER OF GOD. HOW?

“… For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,  who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God and the power of the age to come— and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. …” (Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT).

What are“…the POWERS of the world to come?” (Hebrews 11 KJV). The fallen have TASTED or experienced the POWER of the world (kingdom or spiritual realm) to come. “… the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of POWER…” (1 Corinthians 4:20 NIV). “…Our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with POWER …” (1 Thessalonians 1:5 NIV).

For instance, the WORD OF GOD is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…BY THE [POWER of the] ... WORD of the Lord [you are SAVED]…” (Psalms 33:6 NASB).

JUST Hearing the WORD EMPOWERS SALVATION. “…Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly. Along with faith … that are [“through” the POWER of the WORD of GOD]…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV). “…God … sent forth the Spirit of His [WORD]... “INTO” [Y]OUR… HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “….THE WORDS ... they are SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…the [holy] ... Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…[The WORD is] ... in you, …” (Colossians 1:27 KJV).

HEARING the gospel is HOW “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to ]YOUR] ...SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).   “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH (through dependence upon the POWER of God’s WORD); and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“..The GRACE of our Lord (the experience of the GIFT of SALVATION) was poured out on me abundantly, along with faith… that are [“through” the POWER of God’s WORD]…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV).

Obtaining salvation means that you have been POWERFULLY rescued from God’s wrath and judgement and will not get what you actually deserve, which is death. “…ALL HAVE SINNED and fallen short of the glory of God (or have fallen short of the goodness of God’s indwelling presence)…” (Romans 3:23). “…The wages of sin is [spiritual] ...death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

The POWERS of the world to come is experienced through salvation when God miraculously delivers you from sin, the sinful nature, and spiritual death. “…God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son...the just for the unjust...that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (die a spiritual death)…” (John 3:16 KJV & 1 Peter 3:18 NASB). God “….is …not willing (doesn't desire) that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).

The WORD OF GOD is “…the POWER of God [to SAVE everyone who depends upon the POWER of his WORD to do what it says it will do]…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…God sent, ... his Son (his WORD) ... that the world THROUGH HIM (the power of his word) might BE SAVED…” (John 3:17 KJV).“... I, am the Lord (the word of god); and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved …the Lord (the word of god), your redeemer…: (Isaiah 43:10-15 KJV).

“… [THE WORD of GOD]... It is the power of God at work (miraculously), saving everyone who believes (depends)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “….TO [THOSE]…WHO ARE SAVED, [THE WORD of god] IS THE POWER OF GOD….” (1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV). “…UNTO THEM, WHICH ARE CALLED…[THE WORD of god IS]…THE POWER OF GOD…” (1 Corinthians 1:24 KJV). It is the POWERFUL WORD of God” that results in your salvation. If you are SAVED you have ALREADY experienced the POWER of God's WORD!

If you could have obtained salvation, by your own efforts, then Christ would NOT have had a need to die on the cross. “… The life which I now live in the flesh I live by the [indwelling fruit of]... faith [produced and empowered by] ... the Son of God (the WORD of GOD) … for if righteousness come by the law (self-effort, self-autonomy, etc.), then Christ,[...also the atoning sacrifice]... is dead in vain…” (Galatians 2:20-21 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).“…Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).     “… if keeping the law (self-effort, one’s own power) could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die…” (Galatians 5:4 NLT). “…Who will free [you] from this life that is dominated by SIN (the sinful nature, spiritual death, etc.)? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord (the WORD of GOD)…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

“For [it is] Christ …[who]…. died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us... [BACK]... to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “… Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And ... he was buried, and …he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).

So HOW do you TASTE the POWER of the world to come through salvation? You “…RECEIVE (obtain, accept, etc.) ... the engrafted WORD, which is able to [POWERFULLY] ... SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV).  “…everyone who asks receives (obtains, accepts, etc.)…” (Matthew 7:8 NIV).  “... AS MANY as received (obtained, accepted, etc.) him (the WORD of GOD), to them GAVE HE (the WORD) [THE INDWELLING] ... POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD ... to them that believe (depend upon) ...his name (the WORD of GOD)…” (John 1:12 KJV).

YOU willfully and voluntarily RECEIVE or ACCEPT this gift of God. “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH (through dependence upon the WORD of GOD); and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Salvation is the FIRST manifestation or TASTE of the POWER of God’s WORD to SAVE the lost soul “through” the WORK of the Holy Spirit. “...those who have ... tasted ... the power of the age to come…” (Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT). “... O TASTE and “see” that [GOD, the Holy Spirit]... is GOOD...” (Psalms 34:8 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit, gives you a TASTE of the powers to come when he REVEALS or introduces himself through the enlightenment of his WORD. “.. A Light of revelation...” (LUKE 2:32 NASB). “… His (Jesus) name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). “… I am ... [jesus, the word of god] ...the light of the world..." (John 9:5, 8:12 KJV). “... the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light... (Ephesians 5:19 NLT). ” “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Word was God … (John 1:1-4 NASB). “… I am the light of the world..." (John 9:5, 8:12 KJV). “... He (THE WORD) is a light to reveal God to the nations...” (Luke 2:32 NLT). “…The Light which … enlightens every man…” (John 1:19 NASB).“... O TASTE and “see” that [GOD, the Holy Spirit]... is GOOD...” (Psalms 34:8 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit, gives you a TASTE of the powers to come when he INDWELLS or sends his indwelling Holy Spirit to LIVE within yoy and with you forever.“…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT).  “…God … SENT forth the Spirit of His Son (his WORD) “INTO” [Y]OUR… HEARTS …” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…The Spirit of God dwelleth in you” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…The [Holy] Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people…” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). . “…God is not human …” (Numbers 23:19 NIV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “... God, the Holy Spirit, gives you a TASTE of the powers to come when he ENDOWS or produces spiritual fruit “IN” your lives.“... The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in [your] ... lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. …” (Galatians 5 NLT).“…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE …” (John 3:6 NLT). “…We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then THE WAY YOU LIVE will … will produce every kind of good fruit…” (Colossians 1:9-10 NLT). “…Ye shall know [those with the indwelling Holy Spirit]… by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…He who ABIDES in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit … ” (John 15:1-11 NASB). "…My Father is glorified by this, that “YOU” BEAR MUCH FRUIT, and so PROVE to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).  “…The FRUIT of the SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “... O TASTE and “see” that [GOD, the Holy Spirit]... is GOOD...” (Psalms 34:8 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit, gives you a TASTE of the powers to come when he EMPOWERS or display the goodness of his presence “THROUGH” your life“…the Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…God gives us many kinds of special abilities, but it is the ...Holy Spirit ... is the source of them all. ... … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “...There are many ways in which God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work in and through all of us who are his… … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “...The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each of us … (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…It is the same and only Holy Spirit who GIVES all these gifts and powers… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…the Father … doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…[You] can do all things through Christ (the WORD of GOD) which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ (the WORD OF GOD) IS IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…God … worketh IN YOU, both to will and to do ….” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in [YOU]…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…God which worketh in you … to do…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in [YOU], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…by the GRACE of God [you are what you are]…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “... God, the Holy Spirit, gives you a TASTE of the powers to come when he GIVES or GIFTS you with special abilities and powers that confirm his WORD “…There are diversities of gifts , but the same Spirit…” (1 Corinthians 12:4 KJV). “…He (Jesus, THE WORD OF GOD) ….gave gifts  ...unto men (and women)…” (Ephesians 4:8 KJV). “…The GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV). ”…  ye [are]…saved by grace through faith…it is the GIFT of God…” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV). “…The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV).  “….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 2:38 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “…I am leaving you with a GIFT—peace of mind and heart...” (John 14:27 KJV). “…God has given us different GIFTS for doing certain things well…” (Romans 12:6 NLT). “…every man hath his proper GIFT of God...” (2 Corinthians 7:7 KJV). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT[S]…” (2 Corinthians  9:16 KJV). “…These are the gifts Christ gave to the church: …” (Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT). “…Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: …” (1 Corinthians 12:28 NLT).  “…gifts of ...HELPS …” (1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV). “…He [GAVE] ... apostles, and some ...prophets, and some ... evangelists, and some ... pastors and teachers …[and WITNESSES]...” (Ephesians 4:11 NASB). “…He gave some …..pastors …” (Ephesians 4:11 NIV). “…I will give you shepherds (PASTORS) after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding…” (Jeremiah 3:15 NIV). “…God gives us many kinds of special abilities ... It is the ….Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and powers, deciding which each one of us should have… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…His [“HOLY” indwelling] POWER hath GIVEN unto [you]… ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). “... O TASTE and “see” that [GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT]... is GOOD...” (Psalms 34:8 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit, gives you a TASTE of the powers to come when he PROVES his everlasting LOVE through the SECURITY of SALVATION.“…God is love…” (1 John 4:8 KJV). “… [God has]... loved [you]...with an everlasting love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). ^“Jesus Christ (THE WORD OF GOD) is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV). Therefore, “… [nothing]…will be able to separate us from the love of God (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS LOVE), which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (THE WORD OF GOD)…” (Romans 8:31-39 NASB). “…[A] love, which is the perfect BOND of unity...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB). “…He … remains faithful (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS FAITHFUL LOVE)…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT (WE ARE SECURE IN  HIS IMMUTABLE CHARACTER)…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “…God has said “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS COMMITMENT)…” (Hebrews 13:5 NIV). “…I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, to the very end…"(Matthew 28:20 NIV).  “…Behold, I AM WITH… [YOU] and  …I WILL NOT LEAVE [YOU]…." (Genesis 28:15 ASV). “…The LORD thy God …will not fail (leave) thee, nor forsake thee…” (Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV).  “…Behold, I am with… [you] and will keep… [you] whithersoever [you]… goest…I will not leave [you]..." (Genesis 28:15 ASV). “… [God has]... loved [you]...with an everlasting love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “…he remains faithful (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS IMMUTABLE FAITHFULNESS) …” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “…There is no greater LOVE …” (John 15:13 NLT).“... O TASTE and “see” that [GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT]... is GOOD: BLESSED (happy, nourished) is the man (woman) that trusteth in him (depend upon his WORD)...” (Psalms 34:8 KJV). WE ARE SECURE IN HIS IMMUTABLE BLESSINGS UPON OUR LIVES!!

God, the HOLY SPIRIT gives "YOU" a TASTE of the WORLD to come by confirming the POWER of his WORD through signs (salvation, etc.), wonders (the indwelling Holy Spirit, etc.), and miracles (of grace, mercy, love, etc.)! However, “... [to] ... those who have ... tasted the POWERS of the ages to come  … and ... then turn away from God...” (Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT).

DO THIS: “… repent and DO the first works [of ABIDING with the WORD of GOD, the Holy Spirit]…” (Revelation 2:5 KJV).

WHY? “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV).
