HOLY LOVE KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS
“…Love
is patient, love is kind. It does
not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It
does not dishonor others, it is
not self-seeking, It
is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrongs. Love
does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres, Love never fails…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).
*
“…God is LOVE…” (1
John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE
…KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1
Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).
HOLY LOVE does not continue to recount
the wrongs and offenses done. HOLY LOVE forgives and remembers your sins no
more. “…LOVE …KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their
sins no more…" (Hebrews 8:12 NIV).
Since
HOLY LOVE remembers your sins no more, there is NO list of them as far as God
is concerned. “…LOVE …KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…Love covereth a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs
10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV).
God’s forgiveness and faithfulness to
cleanse you from ALL sins settles all wrongs and offenses against him. “…LOVE …KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV).
HOLY
LOVE wages war against the guilt or reproach of sins and reminds, his people,
that he has HEALED their apostasy once and for all. “…For Christ
also died for sins once for all, the just for the
unjust…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…I WILL
heal their apostasy, I
will love them freely.…” (Hosea 14:4 KJV).
HOLY LOVE delights (finds happiness)
in mercy whether than keeping your record of wrongs. “…LOVE …KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…”
(Micah 7:18 KJV). “…Mercy triumphs over judgement.” (James 2:13 NASB). “..O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is GOOD; for his mercy endureth for ever” (1 Chronicles…” 16:34 KJV). “It came …to pass, as …
[they] praised the Lord, saying …his mercy endureth for ever…” (2
Chronicles 5:13-14 KJV). “…The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy…” (Psalms 103:8
KJV). “…For as the heaven is high above
the earth, so great
is his mercy toward them that
fear him…” (Psalms 103:11 KJV). “…But the mercy of the Lord
is from everlasting to everlasting …” (Psalms 103:17 KJV).
This act of God’s MERCY was clearly
demonstrated through Jesus Christ. .“…God so loved the world, that HE GAVE his only begotten Son (Jesus
Christ) …” (John 3:16 KJV). “… Jesus...[said], Father, forgive them…” (Luke 23:34 KJV).
Jesus was sent to completely ERADICATED
your record of wrongs, sins, and offenses against God. “…He (Jesus Christ) is the atoning sacrifice
for our sins…”
(1 John 2:2 NIV).
“…Behold
the Lamb of God
(Jesus Christ), which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV).
HOLY LOVE is a BOND of unity.
“…love,
which is the perfect BOND of
unity...”
(Colossians 3:14 NASB).
HOLY
LOVE refuses to let a list or record of wrongs or
sins come between him and his people. . “….neither death, nor life, nor angels nor
principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height
nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate [you]… from the love of God which
is “in” Christ Jesus our Lord…” (Romans 8:38-39 KJV). “…I WILL heal their apostasy.…” (Hosea 14:4 KJV).
HOLY LOVE prefers to forgive than
keep a “record of wrongs” or sins. “…HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “…HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…”
(Micah 7:18 KJV). “…Mercy triumphs over judgement.” (James 2:13 NASB).
HOLY LOVE PROVES it does not KEEP a
record of wrongs through forgiveness and by NOT bringing up the past sins,
painful offenses, or punishable memories. “…I will
forgive …[your] wickedness
and will remember
..[your] sins no more…" (Hebrews 8:12 NIV). “…[HOLY] …love
covereth a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs 10:12, 1 Peter 4:8
ASV). “…The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow
to anger, and plenteous
in mercy…”
(Psalms 103:8 KJV).
HOLY LOVE focuses on the needs of
his loved ones and NOT their offenses or wrongs against him. “…HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…”
(Micah 7:18 KJV). “…Mercy triumphs over judgement.” (James 2:13 NASB). …HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV).
“…he remains faithful…” (2
Timothy 2:13 NLT).“…I am the Lord, I change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV). “Jesus Christ is the
same
yesterday and today and forever…”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
HOLY
LOVE seeks to reconcile through forgiveness, grace, and mercy by NOT keeping a
record of wrongs. “…Blessed is he WHOSE TRANSGRESSION IS FORGIVEN, WHOSE SIN IS COVERED. …”
(Psalm 32:12 KJV). “…Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord
IMPUTETH NOT INIQUITY, and in whose spirit there is no guile…”
(Psalm 32:12 KJV). “…I am he that BLOTTETH OUT THY TRANSGRESSION ….”
(Isaiah 42:35 KJV). “…I am he that …WILL
NOT REMEMBER THY SINS….”
(Isaiah 42:35 KJV).
“…As far as the east is from the west, so
far hath he REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS
FROM US…” (Psalm 104:12 KJV). “…I WILL heal their apostasy.…” (Hosea 14:4 KJV). “…I will forgive …and will remember ..[your] sins no more…"
(Hebrews 8:12 NIV).
“… [HOLY]
…love covereth a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs
10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV). HOLY LOVE will empower his people, through his
indwelling HOLY SPIRIT to love like him. “…In this world we are
like Jesus (forgiving and full of merciful love)…” (1 John 4:17
NIV). “…it is God
who works in you to
will
and to act (keep
NO record of wrongs) in order to fulfill his good
purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).
“...Then came Peter to him, and
said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till
seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven
times: but, Until seventy times seven…” (Matthew 18:20-21 NLT). “…We love, because HE FIRST LOVED US…” (1
John 4:19 ASV). “…LOVE one
another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By
this ALL MEN will know that
you are My disciples, if you have love for one another…”
(John 13:34-35 KJV). “…While we were yet sinners, Christ DIED FOR US…”
(Romans 5:8 KJV).
Does NOT keeping a “record
of wrongs” mean you can continue to sin all you want? NO.
“... [You have been] made free from sin….”
(Romans 6:18 KJV). “If the Son therefore
shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed” (John 8:36 KJV). “…where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
liberty (freedom)” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).
Freedom from sin, through complete and
total forgiveness, means you are no also longer under the control or power of
sin. “... [You
have been] made free from sin….” (Romans 6:18 KJV).
You are
now free to live holy. More importantly your human WILL is free to choose the
right way of LIFE. “… choose
life…”
(Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV). “…Jesus saith…I
am …the
life…” (John 14:6
KJV).
Therefore, God freed you FROM sin,
not TO sin, but to LIVE holy. “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).
Why would you want to continue to sin? Why
would you even think that forgiveness freed you to sin instead of freeing to
finally LIVE RIGHT? “…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans
7:14-25 NLT).
A true believer is a new creation, BY
FAITH (by depending upon what Christ did on the cross), and is FREE from SIN. “… … if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…If the Son
therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed” (John 8:36 KJV).
God, through complete and total
forgiveness, freed you FROM sin, not TO sin, but to LIVE holy. “..He that committeth sin is of the devil; for
the devil sinneth from the beginning. For
this purpose
the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the
devil.” (1 John 3:6-9 KJV). “… … if any man be in Christ,
he is a new
creature…” (2 Corinthians 5:17
KJV). “If the
Son therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be
free indeed” (John 8:36 KJV). “…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans
7:14-25 NLT). “…Choose
you
this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).
Will you live a perfect, sinless life
while on earth? NO. “..The
trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin.
I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I
don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not
the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. And
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do
what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good,
but I don’t …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).
However, “…If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “…For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their
sins no more…" (Hebrews 8:12 NIV). His
“…Love covereth a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs
10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV).
You are completely and totally forgiven
and God will remember your sins NO more. “…I will forgive …and will remember ..[your] sins no more…"
(Hebrews 8:12 NIV).
You are FREE to CHOOSE to live righteous
before God, not PERFECT. “…if we say that
we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us…” (1 John
1:8 KJV). You are a
totally new creation. “… [Yet]… if any
man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, ALL
THINGS are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
You have the indwelling Holy Spirit and can now
bear God’s fruit, because the HOLY SPIRIT works “IN” you. “…
the God of peace… that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with
everything good for doing his will, and may
he work in [you]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ…”
(Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…”
(Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).
You can CHOOSE to live
a life of true repentance, not perfection. It is a progressively, transforming
lifestyle. “…REPENT…”
(Acts 17:30 KJV). “…If we “SAY” that we have fellowship with him, and WALK IN
DARKNESS (unrepentant), WE LIE, and DO NOT THE
TRUTH…” (1 John 1:6 KJV). “…Bring
forth therefore fruits worthy of REPENTANCE …” (Luke 3:8-11 KJV).
You are totally and completely forgiven. “…the will of God, [is]…your SANCTIFICATION
(ongoing transformation to holiness)…” (1 Thessalonians 4:3 NASB). “…Be transformed (progressively) by the renewing of your mind….”
(Romans 12:2 KJV). “…be conformed (progressively) to the
image of his Son…” (ROMANS 8:29 KJV).
“… [Therefore]… we all … are [being]… changed into the same
image [of Christ] from glory to glory …” (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV). Transformation is to “…be
holy, because I am holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).
“…By the grace of
God I am what I am…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).
HOLY LOVE totally and completely forgives the
RECORD OF WRONGS and his people can now choose to walk in the newness of life. “… if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become new” (2
Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
A forgiven believer can
choose to live a fruitful life. "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My
disciples” (John 15:8 NIV). “…behold,
ALL THINGS are
become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17
KJV).
Whatever you were in
the past is COVERED OVER by HOLY LOVE. There is NO record of wrongs or sins. “…Love covereth a multitude of sins…” (Proverbs
10:12, 1 Peter 4:8 ASV). “…OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY…” (2
Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…Be not deceived:
neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers
of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor
revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And SUCH “WERE” SOME OF YOU: but ye are WASHED,
but ye are SANCTIFIED,
ye are JUSTIFIED
in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by
the SPIRIT of our GOD…” (1
Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV).
“…Peter
said to them, "REPENT, and each of you be baptized in the name of
Jesus Christ for
the FORGIVENESS of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the
Holy Spirit….” (Acts 2:38 NASB). “…EXCEPT YE
REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV). “…Blessed is he WHOSE TRANSGRESSION IS FORGIVEN…”
(Psalm 32:12 KJV).
No matter who keeps a record of your wrong
or sins; God does not! HOLY
LOVE does not continue to recount the wrongs and offenses you’ve done. “…LOVE …KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).
HOLY
LOVE forgives and remembers your sins no more. “…For I
will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more…"
(Hebrews 8:12 NIV).
“…God is LOVE…” (1
John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE
…KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS…” (1
Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). God LOVES you and you have NO record of wrongs with
him! You have a CLEAN slate!!
