LOVE DOES "NOT" ENVY. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FROM "HIS" PERSPECTIVE?

                        

HOLY LOVE DOES NOT ENVY

“…Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, It is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, Love never fails…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

 “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [REAL]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

Envy is an emotional response that stems from coveting and is expressed as jealousy, hatred, bitterness, or strife. “… if ye have bitter ENVYING and strife in your hearts, glory not…” (James 3:14 KJV).  “…Our lives were full of evil and ENVY, and we hated each other…” (Titus 3:3 NLT). “… Where ENVYING and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work…” (James 3:16 KJV).

God’s HOLY LOVE does not focus on HIS personal desires and is totally unselfish. “Love …is NOT self-seeking …” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).  

God’s intention is to LOVE you and he would NEVER covet anything you have. “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

He won’t even covet your heart if you choose to give it to another. “… [YOU]… FORGOT all about ME,” says the Lord…” (Hosea 2:13 NLT). “…for years on end my people have FORGOTten ME…” (Jeremiah 2:32 NLT). “…They ABANDONED ME ….” (JEREMIAH 16:11 NLT). “…They ABANDONED the Lord… they turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT). Yet, Yet, “…he remains faithful…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

God is HAPPY when you are BLESSED and NEVER seeks to benefit himself. “….the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and TO GIVE HIS LIFE as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28).“….For Christ “PLEASED” NOT himself…” (Romans 15:3 KJV). “…I came that “they” may have life, and have it abundantly….” (John 10:10 KJV).

The God of LOVE is not envious, because he DOES “NOT” need “ANYTHING” from the believer. “…… I am God, and there is none like me…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV).  “…The earth is the Lord's…” (Psalm 24:1 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). indw

HOLY LOVE concentrates on and is busy with supplying the NEEDS of the ones he loves. “…God shall supply ALL YOUR NEED …” (Philippians 4:19 KJV). “…His DIVINE POWER hath given unto [you]… ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). “…All things are your's … [in Christ]…” (1 Corinthians 3 KJV). “…God will generously PROVIDE all you need. Then you will always have everything you need …” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT).

HOLY LOVE has NO room for envy because HOLY LOVE focuses on GIVING instead. “…He gave his only begotten Son …” (John 3:16 KJV). “…My God will supply all [your need]… according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB). “…what is the riches of the glory …CHRIST IN YOU…” (Colossians 1:25-28 KJV).“… Everything we have has come from you…” (1 Chronicles 29:1-20 NLT).

Envy is sin. Your ongoing practice of any SIN always creates a barrier between you and God. “… [Your] … iniquities (sin) …separated [you]… from God… …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “… YOUR SINS … cut you off from God…” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT). “…Your INIQUITIES have separated between you and your God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).

Sin creates a barrier in ALL relationships.

God doesn’t EVER separate from you, but YOU can choose to separate from him. “…I AM THE VINE AND YE ARE THE BRANCHES…” (JOHN 15:1, 5 NIV). “…abide in ME and I in YOU…” (John 15:4 KJV). “…The branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine …” (John 15:4-6 NASB). “….Apart from [JESUS, the indwelling Holy Spirit] … YOU CAN DO NOTHING…” (John 15:5 NIV).

Envy would make the covenant relationship about God and NOT about his LOVE for the believer. “… God SHOWED HIS GREAT [unselfish]… LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners…” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…HE FIRST LOVED US…” (1 John 4:19 ASV).  “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

Envy would put the believer in second place with God and it would become a selfish NON-LOVING, covenant relationship with him. “Love …is NOT self-seeking …” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…It is your Father's GOOD PLEASURE to GIVE YOU the kingdom…” (Luke 12:32 KJV).  “…Beloved, I wish above all things that ..[YOU]… mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth…” (3 John 1:2 KJV).

God is content with the uniqueness of WHO he is and WHAT belongs to him already. “… I am God, and there is none like me…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV).  “…The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein…” (Psalm 24:1 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). indw

 Mankind often have many jealousies that provoke coveting another’s looks, material possessions, spiritual gifts, family, friends, attention, personality, or wealth. God has NO ENVIES! “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).“… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV).  “…There is none holy as the Lord…” (1 Samuel 2:2 KJV). “… there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). indw

indwGod has no reason to ENVY. God KNOWS who he is and is COMPLETE and WHOLE all by himself. “… I am God, and there is none like me…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV). “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).

REAL “HOLY” LOVE will NEVER let ENVY come between YOU and him. “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…God is [REAL]… LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

Envy is an evil work that comes out of the heart of mankind and has been the culprit for destroying many, many relationships between people ALL over the world.

Envy has destroyed race relations, marital relations, family relations, friend relations, brother and sister-in-Christ relations, gender relations, and one’s relationship with SELF. “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

Therefore, “……There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female…” (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV). “…God SHOWS NO FAVORITISM.  In every nation HE ACCEPTS those who fear him and do what is right—…there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all…” (Acts 10:34-36 NLT). “…God is no RESPECTER OF PERSONS: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent … preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)…” (Acts 10:34-36 KJV).

“…So now you … are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself…” (Ephesians 2:19-20 NLT). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

God’s HOLY LOVE is totally absent of ENVY, because “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

ENVY has no PLACE in a relationship of LOVE. ENVY comes from the FLESH and not the HOLY SPIRIT of LOVE. “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

God will NOT ever try to make you ENVIOUS and he will NOT express ENVY toward you EVER!! “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

God wants his people to LOVE like that too. So “…God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us…” (Romans 5:5 NIV).

God’s indwelling Holy Spirit of LOVE works “IN” and “THROUGH” his people. “…The …HOLY SPIRIT …is the SOURCE of [HOLY LOVE]. …it is …God who does the work IN and THROUGH all of us who are his… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

God empowers his people to LOVE without ENVY. “…I will put a new spirit in you. …” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…God which worketh in you…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).  ^“ … God…EQUIP[S]… YOU with everything good for doing his will…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). ^“ … God… WORK[S]… IN US what is pleasing to him, THROUGH Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “….Apart from [the indwelling Holy Spirit]… YOU CAN DO NOTHING…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…By the GRACE of God I am (loving without envy) what I am (loving without envy)…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “… I can do all things THROUGH CHRIST which strengtheneth me…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).

 “…In this world … [his people] … are LIKE JESUS…” (1 John 4:17 NIV). Therefore, “….as [God has]… loved [them]… [they are to] …love one another ….” (John 13:34 ASV). “…He (or she) that loveth not knoweth not God…” (1 John 4:7-8 ASV). “… [His people]…can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [them]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “… It is God who worketh in [them]…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).  “…The Father that dwelleth in [them] … he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

God’s HOLY LOVE does not ENVY. This is a TRUTH, not an emotion. “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…Thy word is truth…” (JOHN 17:17 KJV). “…The truth shall MAKE YOU FREE…” (JOHN 8:32 KJV). “…In this world … [YOU] … are LIKE JESUS…” (1 John 4:17 NIV). “… [YOU]… can do all things THROUGH CHRIST which strengtheneth… [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).

“… [HOLY]…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “… [God’s]… thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are [his]… ways [your]… ways…..as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are [his]… ways higher than your ways and [his]… thoughts than your thoughts…” (Isaiah 55:8-9 ASV).

God’s HOLY LOVE sets a HIGH standard and PROVES his kind of love is totally different than mankind’s love. God’s love is unconditional love. “….Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true…THINK ON THESE THINGS…” (Philippians 4:8 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

HOLY LOVE doesn’t NEED anything from you.  NEED is something essential for survival. God has EVERYTHING he needs.

Therefore, God’s HOLY LOVE will NEVER “ENVY” anything you have. Doesn’t the bible say God is a jealous God? “…I the Lord thy God am a jealous God …” (Exodus 20:1-17 KJV). This scripture refers to God DESIRING what actually BELONGS to him; not what belongs to another.

God DESIRES your love, but if you CHOOSE “NOT” to love him, he will not become ENVIOUS. “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).

God’s desire for you is NOT essential for sustaining WHO he is or WHAT he has. “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “… I am God…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV).

God’s DESIRE, for his people, stem from his yearning or longing to be in the covenant relationship with them, which is rightfully his anyway. “…You belong to Christ…” (1 Corinthians 3:23 NASB). “…you belong to God, my dear children…” (1 John 4:2-7 NIV).

God’s DESIRE, for his people, also demonstrates how he yearns and longs to bestow favor, delight, and pleasure upon his people. “…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessings …in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV). “…it is your Father's GOOD PLEASURE to GIVE YOU the kingdom (all the blessings of redemption)…” (Luke 12:32 KJV).

God’s DESIRE for you simply MEANS he wants YOU for himself. You rightfully BELONG to him. “… [Everyone]… who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. [They]…are [ALL]… part of the same body, and enjoy the promise of blessings because THEY BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS…” (Ephesians 3:6 NLT).  “…Those who belong to Christ Jesus …” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…Because YOU BELONG to him...” (Romans 8:1 NLT). “ … (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…He that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT (BELONG)…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). “…We are his; we are “HIS” PEOPLE...” (Psalms 100:3 KJV).

God’s HOLY LOVE makes “NO” demands and does “NOT” covet. Envy makes demands. ENVY covets something another person possesses. “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).

No matter what you choose, or possess; or what you give or don’t give to God; or if your heart chases him or chases after another; IT will NEVER change who HE is. “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

“… I am God…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV). “…There is none like me…" (Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV). “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “…He that believeth on him is not condemned: but HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because HE HATH NOT BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, that light is come into the world, and MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, because THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved…” (John 3:18-20 KJV).

“…The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt (disrespect)?” (Daniel 14:11 NIV). “…My … [OWN] …people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted, following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT). “…the people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT). “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).

God HOLY LOVE does not manipulate and makes no demands; YOU “FREELY” CHOOSE. “…LOVE …DOES NOT ENVY…” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV).
