A FAITH THAT PRODUCES RESULTS

“…For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but SHALL BELIEVE (choose to depend upon God’s WORD) that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith…” …”  (MARK 11:23 KJV).

Understanding the Fruit of Faith, produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit, is of UTMOST importance. This blog takes the perception that Fruit of Faith, produced by the Holy Spirit, “IS” necessary in order to TRULY “…walk by faith…” or “…live by faith…” The Fruit of Faith is GIFTED and imparted to the believer through the indwelling Holy Spirit (Romans 12:3, Galatians 5:22-25 KJV).

The Apostle informs YOU that “…God hath dealt (GIVEN, distributed, allotted, etc;)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 KJV). One of “…the fruit of the Spirit is… FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

The indwelling fruit of faith is a GIFT. “…You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit….” (Acts 2:38 NASB). “… It is the … Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and POWERS… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).  “….every good gift and every perfect gift … cometh down from the Father of lights…..” (James 1:17 KJV).“…The LORD SHALL GIVE that which is good…” (Psalms 85:12 KJV). “…A man can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…What do you have that God hasn’t given you?” (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT). “… [One of]…the fruit of the [HIS] Spirit is… FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). "....the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives … ” (Galatians 5 NLT).“….IT IS THE “GIFT” OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).“… [THIS GIFT is]… NOT OF YOURSELVES, … not of works, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

All of God’s people have the Fruit of Faith, produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit, but many STILL use or depend upon their old “fallen,” dead human faith, which produces nothing. “…The flesh (human faith, human effort, etc.) profiteth nothing…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…It is God which worketh [the fruit of faith] in you…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “… Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians KJV).  “…Apart from [the fruit of faith, produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

“…The righteous will live by "his"  [indwelling fruit of] faith…” (Habakkuk 2:4 NASB). “… [You] live by the [indwelling fruit of] faith of the Son of God (which is IN you)…” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).“… Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians KJV).  “…Apart from [the fruit of faith, produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). So “…walk by faith (be empowered by the indwelling fruit of faith)...” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV). “…live by faith (live by being empowered by the indwelling fruit of faith), not by sight….” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).  

The Fruit of Faith originates from and is produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that … he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT).  “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…[One of] ..the fruit of the Spirit is …FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…Ye shall know them by their fruits (by the evidence of their fruit)…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…FAITH IS (the fruit of faith is) …the evidence of things not seen…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). “…The invisible [holy Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made (spiritual fruit is made or produced) … …” (Romans 1:20 KJV).  “…What we have RECEIVED is not the spirit of the world, but the  [holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand (become aware of) what God has freely given us. …” (2 Corinthians 2:12-15 KJV). “… BY FAITH (by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) we understand (becomes aware)…that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen…” (Hebrews 11 NLT).

“…The person WITHOUT the [HOLY] Spirit DOES NOT accept the things that come from the [HOLY] Spirit of God … and cannot understand (become aware of) them because they are discerned ONLY through the [HOLY] Spirit. …” (2 Corinthians 2:12-15 KJV).“… BY FAITH (by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) we understand (we become aware of the truths about God)…” (Hebrews 11 NLT). “….Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

“…The Lord (the WORD of God) is [also]…that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…THE WORDS THAT I (JESUS) SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT, …” (John 6:63 KJV). “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 John 5:6-8 KJV). “….THE LORD IS OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE…” (Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV). “…THERE IS NO GOD, BUT ONE…” (1 Corinthians 8:4 KJV).

 The Word came to dwell among mankind. “…the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” (JOHN 1:14).

The Word (Jesus) was sent to be an atoning sacrifice for sins. “He (Jesus, the WORD) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV).  ^“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and SENT His Son to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV).

The Word (Jesus) was sent to bring us to God.  Christ …. died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might BRING US TO GOD, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB).

The Word (Jesus) and the ATONING SACRIFICE (Jesus) was sent to bring salvation to everyone who believes (depends upon HIM). “….The gospel of Christ (the WORD) …. is THE POWER of God unto SALVATION TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH (accepts, receives, chooses)…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). 

THE WORD OF GOD ACTIVATES THE WORK OF THE HOLY TO SAVE EVERYONE WHO CHOOSES TO DEPEND UPON GOD'S WORD. “… [The] Good News about Christ (the WORD). It is the POWER OF GOD (the Holy Spirit) at work, saving everyone who believes (depends upon the TRUTH)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). "...Thy WORD (JESUS) is truth” (JOHN 17:17 KJV). “…This is the WORK of God: that ye believe on him (that YOU depend upon him)...” (John 6:29 KJV). “…Faith (the empowerment of the indwelling Holy Spirit) … worketh by love (God, the Holy Spirit "IS" love)…” (Galatians 5:6 KJV). “…God is LOVE…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…God’s Spirit dwells in you?...” (1 Corinthians 3:16 NASB). ^“…It is God who works IN YOU …” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…the Father … he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

Once you choose to accept or depend upon God’s invitation of salvation, the WORD activates the HOLY SPIRIT to do the SAVING. “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to [ALL] SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…It is the SPIRIT who “GIVES” LIFE; the flesh profits nothing…” (John 6:63 NASB).  “….The gospel of Christ (the WORD) …. is the power of God (the WORK of the HOLY Spirit) unto SALVATION TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH (chooses to depend  upon his saving grace)…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…BY GRACE (unmerited favor) have ye been saved THROUGH FAITH (empowered by holy spirit); and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

The Fruit of Faith, produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit, comes, grows, develops, or increases from HEARING the Word. “…HOW SHALL THEY BELIEVE in him (be empowered to depend upon him) of whom they have not heard?” (Romans 10:14 KJV). “…Faith (empowered by the Holy Spirit) cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Roman 10:17 KJV). 

The Apostle said, “…MY PREACHING were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration OF THE [HOLY] SPIRIT AND OF POWER, so that YOUR FAITH  (empowerment to depend upon God) would not rest on the wisdom of men, but ON THE POWER OF GOD (the indwelling WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT)…” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NASB). 

 “…NO ONE CAN COME to Me UNLESS the Father who sent Me draws him…” (John 6:44 KJV). “…NO MAN CAN COME unto me, EXCEPT it were GIVEN unto him of my Father…” (John 6:65 KJV). “…John answered and said, A MAN CAN RECEIVE NOTHING, EXCEPT it be GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…BY GRACE (unmerited favor) have ye been saved THROUGH FAITH (empowered by holy spirit) …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).“…[salvation is] … nOT OF YOURSELVES …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). "... [SALVATION IS] … NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).“… [salvation] … IS THE GIFT OF GOD; …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Before a person can be empowered by the Fruit of Faith, produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit, the WORD of God is HEARD. When the WORD of God is HEARD it DRAWS people to COME to Jesus. “…Every one that hath HEARD and hath LEARNED of the Father, cometh to me…” (John 6:45 KJV). “…NO ONE CAN COME to me UNLESS the Father has ENABLED THEM…” (John 6:65 NIV).

Once they COME to Jesus, they must willfully and voluntarily CHOOSE to RECEIVE the WORD of SALVATION. “…RECEIVE … the …word, which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV). “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT, and they ARE LIFE…” (John 6:63 KJV). “….The gospel of Christ (the WORD) …. is THE POWER of God (the HOLY SPIRIT power) unto SALVATION TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH (accepts, receives, chooses, depends upon, etc.)…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).  “…So the promise is RECEIVED by Faith (the empowerment or WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Romans 4:16 NLT). “… A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it be GIVEN HIM FROM HEAVEN…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…[salvation is] … nOT OF YOURSELVES …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

A person HEARS, LEARNS, COMES, and RECEIVES the gift of SALVATION. “…BY GRACE have ye been saved THROUGH… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “… The grace (unmerited favor) of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, ALONG WITH FAITH (the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) and love (God is LOVE) that are in Christ Jesus (the Word of God)…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV).

What is a person RECEIVING or ACCEPTING, or CHOOSING in order to be SAVED? ANSWER: They are choosing, accepting, or receiving the WORD of God into their hearts (core part of the SOUL) “…The sower SOWETH THE WORD …The seed is the WORD OF GOD ... THE WORD … [is] sown in [your]… HEARTS…” (Mark 4:14-15 & Luke 8:11 KJV). “…THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they ARE SPIRIT…” (John 6:63 KJV).   “… [Jesus]… is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). “…God … sent forth the Spirit of His Son (Jesus, the WORD) “INTO” [Y]OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…RECEIVE … the … WORD (Jesus), which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV). “…Thy WORD (Jesus) is truth…” (JOHN 17:17 KJV). “Jesus saith…I am … the TRUTH…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…[You]… shall know the TRUTH (Jesus), and the TRUTH  (Jesus) shall make you free…” (John 8:32 KJV). “… A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it be GIVEN HIM FROM HEAVEN…” (John 3:27 KJV). “….The gospel of Christ (the WORD) …. is the power of God (the WORK of the HOLY Spirit) unto SALVATION TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH (chooses to depend  upon his saving grace)…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…BY GRACE (unmerited favor) have ye been saved THROUGH FAITH (empowered by holy spirit); and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

The gift of salvation comes with the fruit of Faith, which is part of the Holy Spirit, and when received it is poured out, or is transferred into the repentant sinner’s HEART empowering them to be SAVED by the WORK of the Holy Spirit. “… The GRACE (unmerited favor) of our Lord was poured out (transferred) on me abundantly, ALONG WITH FAITH (the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) and love (God, the Holy Spirit is LOVE) that are in Christ Jesus (God's word)…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV). “…BY GRACE (unmerited favor) have ye been saved THROUGH… FAITH (through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit); and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

The gift of salvation comes first “by GRACE.” Grace is the incomparable riches of God’s HOLY and loving favor, kindness, and blessings upon the underserving. “…BY GRACE have ye been saved…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

The gift of salvation also comes “THROUGH FAITH.” Faith is a gift of God's Spirit that empowers you to DEPEND upon his WORD. “…God hath dealt (GIVEN, distributed, allotted)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 KJV).  “….measuring yourselves by the [Spirit of] Faith God has given us…” (Romans 12:3 NLT). “…In accordance with the [Spirit of] Faith God has distributed to each of you…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved THROUGH FAITH …” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

You CAN NOT be SAVED without God’s gift of GRACE or God’s gift of Faith “…NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

The Holy Spirit DOES the WORK of SALVATION and FAITH!!

The bible clearly emphasizes the faith as a “gift of God’ and eliminates any misunderstanding that the glory and credit for salvation goes to anyone, BUT God. “…it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring WORD of God (which activates the HOLY SPIRIT to SAVE you)…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

Therefore, no “man should (or can) glory” or boast that they did ANYTHING to obtain salvation themselves“…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

“…NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God (which activated the WORK of his Holy Spirit to SAVE you)…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

 “…No man [or woman]… should glory” or boast about his or her salvation (Ephesian 2:8-9 ASV). Here’s WHY: “The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.  And I know that NOTHING GOOD lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t.

I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong.  I [am] …a slave to the sin that is … within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am!

Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

“…The answer is in Jesus Christ…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross; you are saved by GRACE (undeserved favor) through Faith (the empowerment of the Holy Spirit). “…Even when we were dead in our transgressions, [God] made us alive together^]with Christ (by grace you have been saved, ….[that God]…might reconcile …[you]… in one body to [him] through the cross…” (Ephesians 2:5, 16 NASB).

“…For Christ … died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us [home again] to God…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “… I will bring them home again,” says the Lord….” (HOSEA 11 NLT). “… [God sent the ONLY] …one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

The WORD (Jesus) EMPOWERS salvation by activating the WORK of the Holy Spirit. “…RECEIVE …the … WORD (Jesus), which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV). “….Apart from Me (the WORD), you can do NOTHING…” (John 15:5 NIV). “… [You] ... can [only] do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [you]….” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…It is God who works IN YOU… to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…The Holy Spirit GIVES birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, FAITH, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).

ALL THINGS, including salvation and Faith, EXISTS and are possible “BECAUSE” of the WORD. “… [The WORD] was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).

Thus, the WORD (Jesus) and the HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERS you to be SAVED. “….Apart from Me (the WORD), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “... All things came into being through Him (the WORD)… (John 1:1-4 NASB

 The Fruit of Faith, produced by the Holy Spirit, comes from hearing the gospel. The gospel or the WORD is “…the POWER of God (that activates the work of the Holy Spirit) unto salvation to everyone that believeth (accepts, chooses, or receives)…” (Romans 1:16 KJV).  “… [The] Good News about Christ (the WORD). It is the power of God  (the Holy Spirit) at work, saving everyone who believes (accepts, chooses, depends upon, or receives)…” (Romans 1:16 NLT). “…NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “…You have been born again …through the living and enduring word of God (which activated the WORK of his Holy Spirit to SAVE you)…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV) “…the Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

"…The invisible [holy Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made (sinners are MADE into new creations) … …” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is [made into]… a NEW creature … all things are become NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

The eunuch from Ethiopia HEARD the WORD first and THEN was asked did he believe. “…Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus (the WORD). And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest (accept, choose, receive) with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe (depend upon God's truth) that Jesus Christ is the Son of God…” (Acts 8:35-37 KJV). “…This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every [soul]… that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God…” (1 John 4:2-4 KJV).

After HEARING the WORD you may ask a person “Do you want to be saved? Then you tell them to do this: “…Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and … believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…” (ROMANS 10:9 KJV). “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house…” (ACTS 16:31 KJV).  “…Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God…” (ACTS 8:37 KJV). 

“…This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every [soul]… that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God…” (1 John 4:2-4 KJV). “….Apart from Me (the WORD), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “... All things came into being through Him (the WORD)… (John 1:1-4 NASB). “…The invisible [holy Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made … …” (Romans 1:20 KJV).   “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is [MADE into] a new creature…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). 

Salvation and Faith are FREE gifts from God. Whenever God gives you a gift and you receive it; it’s yours. For instance, God has given you: “…The GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV). ”…  ye [are]…saved by grace through faith…it is the GIFT of God…” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV). “…The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV).  “….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 2:38 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “…I am leaving you with a GIFT—peace of mind and heart...” (John 14:27 KJV). “…God has given us different GIFTS for doing certain things well…” (Romans 12:6 NLT). “…every man hath his proper GIFT of God...” (2 Corinthians 7:7 KJV). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT[S]…” (2 Corinthians  9:16 KJV). “…His [“HOLY” indwelling] POWER hath GIVEN unto [you]… ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV).

God GAVE you the “gift of salvation. “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through FAITH…it is the GIFT of God…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). You can say “I am saved” or you can say “My salvation.” It belongs to you.

When something belongs to you; you have all the rights to it. If you say “my car” you have all the rights to that car. If you say “my house” you have all the rights to that house. MY SALVATION.

“…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). If you RECEIVE it; it is yours. If you say “my faith” you have all the rights to that “measure of faith.” That gifted measure of faith BELONGS to you.

However, when it comes to saying “MY faith,” remember it was a gift and does not originate from you, but from God. “…Jesus the AUTHOR (originator) and FINISHER (sustainer) OF [Y]OUR [indwelling Fruit of]…FAITH…” (Hebrews 12:2a KJV). 

Jesus, the WORD, activates the Holy Spirit to DO ALL the WORK of empowering the indwelling fruit of Faith, IN and THROUGH you, from salvation through eternity. “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN YOU WILL “PERFORM” IT until the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV). “…All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB). Therefore, “…the Father that dwelleth in [YOU], he doeth the works (he doeth the works of empowering the fruit of faith)…” (John 14:10 KJV). 

“…the Father … doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “…God GIVES US many kinds of special abilities, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. ...There are many ways in which God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work in and through all of us who are his…It is the same and only Holy Spirit who GIVES all these gifts and powers… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).

Therefore, “… [You]… live by the faith (a gift of the Holy Spirit) of the Son of God.   …” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). “…[You] can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ IS IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). I AM A PERSON "GIFTED" WITH THE FRUIT OF FAITH, PRODUCED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN THE WORD OF GOD IS HEARD. “…by the GRACE of God [you are what you are]…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). 

God gave instructions on how to use and activate this gift of Faith. “…FAITH cometh by hearing  …the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). WHY? “…All things [come]… into being through Him (THE WORD), and apart from Him (THE WORD) nothing … [comes]… into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB). FAITH COMES "INTO" BEING "IN" AND "THROUGH" YOU THROUGH HEARING THE WORD, WHICH ACTIVATES THE WORK OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

Before you received the gift of the Faith you were using a dead, “fallen,” faith contaminated by sin. “…All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (of the PRESENCE of God)…” (Romans 3:23). “….I was born a sinner—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me….” (Psalms 51:5 NLT). 

The sin nature has been passed on from generation to generation since Adam. “….I am carnal (flesh) … [and it is]… sin that dwelleth in me. … I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing….” (Romans 7:14-23 KJV).

Without Christ, the sinful nature could NEVER and would NEVER be saved from condemnation. “…The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS … IF YE BELIEVE NOT THAT I AM HE…” (John 8:24 KJV). “….Apart from Me (the WORD), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

The gift of salvation offered through Jesus, is the only hope of being SAVED from the consequences and affect of sin. “…Without shedding of blood (Jesus’ blood) is no remission (or forgiveness of sin)…” (Hebrews 9:22 KJV). “…Behold the Lamb of God (Jesus), which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV). “…He (Jesus) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV).  

You don’t instantly forget the independent and self-autonomous lifestyle you lived apart from God. The experiences or memories of the old sin nature fight to retain their influence over you, but NOW you have the indwelling Holy Spirit to empower a NEW, HOLY lifestyle. “…These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions….” (Galatians 5 NLT).

Your new gift of Faith and the old fallen human faith battle each other for influence or control. “…These two forces are constantly fighting each other….” (Galatians 5 NLT).

This is where and why faith becomes a struggle for most believers. Like the Centurion they say, “…I do believe, [choose, accept your way God, but] help me overcome my unbelief (the part that doesn't choose, accept your way, or depend upon you)!” (Mark 9:24 NIV).  “…A double minded man (or woman) is unstable in all [of] his (her) ways…” (James 1:8 KJV).

“…So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These TWO FORCES are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. …When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the RESULTS are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there…” (Galatians 5 NLT).

“…If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in [the Spirit of] Faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man (or woman) think that he (or she) shall receive any thing of the Lord…” (James 1:4-7 KJV). “…I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24 NIV).  “…A double minded man (or woman) is unstable in all [of] his (or her) ways…” (James 1:8 KJV).

There are gray areas of doubts and there are extreme areas of doubt, which is disbelief (or areas where you are not depending upon God). Extreme areas of doubt are usually impacted by double-mindedness.

A double-minded person will face fear and uncertainty. One moment they FEEL empowered by faith and the next moment they FEEL overwhelmed by fear. “…A double minded man is unstable in all his ways…” (James 1:8 KJV). “…The Lord detests DOUBLE standards of every kind…” (Proverbs 20:10, 23 NLT). “...NO MAN CAN SERVE TWO masters: …Ye cannot serve God and mammon…” (Matthew 6:24 KJV). “…Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye DOUBLE minded…” (James 4:8 KJV). “…with flattering lips and with a DOUBLE heart do they speak…” (Psalms 12:2 KJV).

A person with a double mind, or double heart, or double standard is unstable. “…A double minded man (or woman) is unstable in all [of] his (or her) ways…” (James 1:8 KJV). “…So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives…” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…His DIVINE POWER hath GIVEN unto us ALL THINGS (including the GIFT of FAITH) that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). 

Depend upon God's Word to activate the works of the indwelling fruit of faith “IN” you. “… [God] work[s] IN [you]… what is pleasing to him…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which worketh in you…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).  “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

Depend upon God's Word to activate the works of the indwelling fruit of faith through you. “… [God] work[s] in you … THROUGH Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).  “…the Father that dwelleth in [you], he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “… [He doeth the work] according to the POWER that worketh in [you]…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). 

Depend upon God's Word to activate the works of the indwelling fruit of faith is for your benefit. “…It shall be done to you according to your [indwelling Fruit of] Faith…" (Matthew 9:29 NASB). “…I will show you MY FAITH (the empowering WORK of the Holy Spirit) by my deeds (RESULTS, BENEFITS, etc.)...” (JAMES 2:18 NIV). “..THE STORIES OF FAITH of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. BY FAITH (by the empowering WORK of the Holy Spirit) these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Women received their loved ones back again from death….” (Hebrews 11:1-35 NLT). 

God has given YOU everything that is needed for an abundant, empowered life of FAITH. Many believers waver between depending upon the human effort for faith and depending upon the indwelling Holy Spirit’s WORK of  empowering the Fruit of FAITH. “…Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: (depend upon HIM) but if Baal, then follow him. (depend upon him) And the people answered him not a word…” (1 Kings 18:21 KJV). “… This is the word of the Lord … Not by [human] might, nor by [human] power, but by my [holy] spirit…” (Zechariah 6:4 KJV). “…Jesus … said…the WORK of God [is] that ye believe on him (depend upon him)…” (John 6:29 KJV). “…The Father … doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). “… [God] work[s] in you … THROUGH Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).  “… [God] work[s] IN [you]… what is pleasing to him…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which worketh in you…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…The Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in [you]… he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

Therefore, the Fruit of Faith, produced by the Holy Spirit “… cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…All things [come]… into being through Him (the WORD), and apart from Him (the WORD) nothing … [comes]… into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB). The indwelling FRUIT of FAITH comes into BEING by HEARING the WORD.

Wavering between the “gifted” indwelling Fruit of Faith and “fallen” human faith is a sign that a person has NOT HEARD enough of God’s powerful WORD.  “…My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6 NIV). “…FAITH cometh by hearing  …the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). Therefore, “…keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8 NIV). 

Wavering between depending upon the indwelling “gifted” Fruit of Faith and “fallen” human faith is one of the reasons people FAIL to see the RESULTS the promises of God guarantee. “…Let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord…” (James 1:4-7 KJV).  

The “gifted” indwelling Fruit of Faith will NEVER fail. “…FAITH (empowered by the Holy Spirit) IS the [CERTAINTY]… of things hoped for, the [PROOF]… of things not seen…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). “…All things [come]… into being through Him (the WORD, which activates the WORKS of the Holy Spirit "IN" and "THROUGH" you)… (John 1:1-4 NASB).

God offers you the gift of salvation, along with the gift of Faith, but you DO NOT have to receive it. “…RECEIVE …the … WORD (Jesus), which is able to SAVE your souls…” (James 1:21 KJV). “…Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and OPEN THE DOOR, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me…” (Revelation 3:20 KJV). “…And ye will not come to me that you might have life...” (John 5:40 KJV).  

“YOU will not come to Me (Jesus)…” means you will not come to Jesus, the WORD to receive, or accept, or choose God’s many gifts that are able to SAVE your souls through salvation or to empower the WORKS of the Holy Spirit "IN" and "THROUGH" you. “…RECEIVE …the … WORD (Jesus), which is able to SAVE your souls [from everything]…” (James 1:21 KJV). “…God gives us many kinds of special abilities, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. ...There are many ways in which God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work in and through all of us who are his…It is the same and only Holy Spirit who GIVES all these gifts and powers… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). 

You may receive, accept, or choose God’s gift of salvation, but never hear enough of the WORD to activate the WORKS of the HOLY SPIRIT in order to receive ALL his other gifts and blessings. “…Let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord…” (James 1:4-7 KJV).  

There is NO excuse for NOT walking in the Faith. “…God hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). AND “… FAITH … COMETH by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “…FAITH… COMETH by hearing [the GOSPEL]…” (Roman 10:17 KJV). “… [One of]… the fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

All of God’s people have Faith, but many STILL use their old “fallen,” dead human faith, which produces nothing. “…The flesh (human faith, human effort, etc.) profiteth nothing…” (John 6:63 KJV). “…It is God which worketh [faith] in you…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “… Jesus Christ is in you…” (2 Corinthians KJV).  “…The righteous will live by his faith…” (Habakkuk 2:4 NASB). “… [You] live by the faith of the Son of God.   …” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). “…Apart from [the indwelling Holy Spirit, which produces FAITH], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

 “Fallen,” dead human faith is not the same as the Fruit of Faith that is part of the Holy Spirit, which produces this kind of fruit. “…Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity…” (Matthew 7:22-23 KJV). “…The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in [y]our lives … faith….” (Galatians 5 NLT). “…The Spirit of God (that produces faith) dwell[s] in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  . “…the fruit of the Spirit is …  faith …” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “….Apart from [the indwelling  HOLY SPIRIT] you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in [you] (God, the Holy Spirit), he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

“Fallen,” dead human faith reduces all of a person’s deeds to nothing and causes them to be unprofitable for obtaining the blessings of God’s many favors. “…And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (God is charity or LOVE)... it profiteth me NOTHING...” (1 Corinthians 13:3 KJV). “…You see that a person is considered righteous by what they [are empowered to] do (by the Holy Spirit) and not by [human effort or] faith ALONE…” (James 2:18-24 NIV). “….Ye see then how that by [empowered] works (through the Holy Spirit) a man is justified, and not by [the human effort of] … faith ONLY…” (James 2:24 KJV). “…So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do (through dependency upon the Holy Spirit), not by faith (dependency upon flesh) ALONE…” (James 2:24 NLT). 

“…The devils ALSO believe (but they don't DEPEND upon God), and tremble…” (James 2:19 KJV). Dead, “fallen” human faith  or belief does NOT nor can NOT EMPOWER the activation of the Holy Spirit, which produces the fruit of faith. “… [One of]… the fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).

ONLY the indwelling Holy Spirit produces a spiritual life which includes the fruit of Faith. “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “… [One of]… the fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).

“… [You can have]… ALL FAITH so that [you]… could remove mountains, [but]… have not charity (God, the Holy Spirit is charity or LOVE), [and be]… NOTHING…” (1 Corinthians 13:2 KJV). God is charity or love. God is Spirit. "…Apart from Me (God, the indwelling Holy Spirit of LOVE), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).     

Dead, “Fallen” human faith is limited to this world and may procure worldly goods, worldly successes, worldly prosperity, and worldly gain. “…What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36 KJV).

Can dead, “fallen” human faith save you? NO “…BY GRACE have ye been saved THROUGH… FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Dead, “Fallen” human faith can make you boast about your many human efforts and accomplishments, but it WON’T save you. “…This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT).  “…Apart from Me, you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).…SAVED....  NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, that no man should glory…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).

Many believers, without even realizing it, boast of the many efforts and accomplishments they have done by dead, human faith, and give half-hearted glory to God. “…This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me” (Mark 7:6 KJV).  

 “…Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit), [they can] do nothing [truly spiritual]…” (John 15:5 NIV).

 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Mark 7:21-23 KJV).

When the HOLY SPIRIT works FOR you it will empower YOU to MANIFEST the GLORY of God and NOT the glory of mankind. Let’s go back and look at Noah again. How did the Holy Spirit work FOR him and bring GLORY to God too? 

The Holy Spirit worked “FOR” Noah: Noah built A BOAT and it SAVED him and his entire family. “…The invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are [finished, come to pass]…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). 

“…The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family …And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.  … On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. …Then the Lord shut him in… (Genesis 7 NIV). “…Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days…” (Genesis 7:17-24 NIV).

When Holy Spirit works “FOR” you people will witness the manifested GLORY of God (his presence in what you are doing). The results or the GLORY of God will be “…clearly seen…”(Romans 1:20 KJV). 

Noah built a boat to save his family from a flood. People SAW Noah build the boat and get into it with his family. “…I will show you MY FAITH (the empowering of the Holy Spirit) by my deeds...” (JAMES 2:18 NIV). 

“…It was BY FAITH (by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) that Noah BUILT A LARGE BOAT to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God (depended upon God's WORD), who warned him about things that had never happened before….” (Hebrews 11 NLT). 

Noah had never heard of a flood, but he was empowered by the HOLY SPIRIT to heed God’s warning. “…He [was empowered and] obeyed  (depended upon) God….” (Hebrews 11 NLT). 

The HOLY SPIRIT worked “FOR” Noah. By the empowerment of the Holy Spirit Noah’s whole family was saved, because he choose to depend upon God, which gave GLORY to God. HOW? God saved Noah’s family as promised and as Noah HOPED he would. “…It was BY FAITH (the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) that Noah BUILT a boat (ark) ….” (Hebrews 11 NLT).  “…Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days…” (Genesis 7:17-24 NIV).

“…For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning…” (Romans 15:4 KJV). “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition…” (1 Corinthians 10:11 KJV).

Noah started building the boat (ARK) BEFORE the – never heard of - flood ever came. “…So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people …So make yourself an ark (boat) of cypress wood; …. I am GOING TO bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. …Noah did everything just as God commanded him. (Genesis 6:9-22 NIV).

“…God, who warned him about things that had never happened before….” (Hebrews 11 NLT). Noah was empowered by the Holy Spirit to depend upon God's WORD, even though he had never seen a flood. He knew it was coming because God had warned him. 

Saving his family from the flood was based on HEARING the promise of God’s WORD, which activated the HOLY SPIRIT to do the WORK of FAITH “IN,” “THROUGH,” and “FOR” Noah as well as FOR the GLORY OF GOD.

God works IN, THROUGH, and FOR you the same way he did Noah! If you voluntarily choose to depend upon God’s WORD, it will activate the Holy Spirit to WORK IN, THROUGH, and FOR you and there will definitely be manifested RESULTS. “…Ye shall know [those with the indwelling Spirit of FAITH]… by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…He who ABIDES in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit … ” (John 15:1-11 NASB). "“…The fruit of the Spirit is … FAITH,…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). “…the Father … doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). 

In addition, the GLORY of God will be REVEALED. “…FAITH IS (the empowering of the Holy Spirit is) …THE EVIDENCE (PROOF) OF THINGS UNSEEN…” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). “…The invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world …CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the things that are MADE…” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “…I will show you MY FAITH (my empowerment of the Holy Spirit) by my [miraculous]…deeds (results of the fruit of faith)...” (JAMES 2:18 NIV). …My Father is glorified by this, that “YOU” bear much fruit, and so PROVE to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).
