GLORY: JEHOVAH JIREH (THE LORD WILL PROVIDE)
“…God
is the one who provides …” (2
Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV). “… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB).

To PROVIDE is to HAVE
ample provision to supply or support a NEED. The PROVIDER has GENEROUSLY
procured or prepared the PROVISIONS before the SUPPLY is NEEDED.“…God is the one
who provides
…” (2 Corinthians 9:10-13
KJV). “… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB). “…God will generously PROVIDE all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to “SHARE” WITH OTHERS…”
(2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT). “….The Lord
is my shepherd; I shall
not want. ….” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT).
God
graciously and mercifully provides for ALL of creation, but PROVIDES special
care to those who BELONG to him. “…He
maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on
the unjust…” (Matthew 5:45 KJV). However, “…THY BLESSING (GREATEST PROVISION) is upon THY PEOPLE…”
(Psalms 3:8 KJV). “…YOU MAKE … [THEM] … “MOST” BLESSED (PROVIDED) forever; …” (Psalms 21:6 NASB). “…You surround … [THEM] … WITH FAVOR (PROVISION) as with a shield…”
(Psalms 5:12 NASB).
The sun may rise on the evil and the rain
may fall on the unjust, because God is a merciful PROVIDER. “…the LORD thy God is a
merciful God…” (Deutoronomy 4:31 KJV).
The evil and unjust may have lots of other
outward provisions too, but that doesn’t mean they are PROVISIONS from God. “… Instead, they have told lies
and made false predictions. They say, ‘This
message is from the Lord,’ even though the Lord never sent them. And yet they expect him to fulfill their prophecies! Can your visions be anything but false if
you claim, ‘This message is from the Lord,’ when I have not
even spoken to you?” (Ezekiel 13:6-7
NLT). “… Because of [their]… SINS, he has turned away and will not listen anymore…”
(Isaiah 59:2 NLT).
Those who BELONG to God have a tendency to
envy evil and unjust people who APPEAR to have been favored with these temporary
“OUTWARD” PROVISIONS of “seemingly” good fortune. “…Let NOT thine
heart ENVY sinners…” (Proverbs 23:17 KJV). “…
[Their]… SINS … have cut [them]… off from God. …” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT). “…They …serve not our Lord Jesus
Christ, but their OWN belly…” (Romans 16:18 KJV).
“…Let
NOT thine heart ENVY sinners…” (Proverbs 23:17 KJV). “…ALL
that is in the world, the LUST of the flesh, and the LUST of the eyes…..is NOT of the
Father, but it is of the world. And the world
passeth away, and the LUST thereof...”
(1 John 2:16-17 KJV).
GENERAL PROVISIONS are
things such as air, sunshine, rain, the resources of the earth, the OPPORTUNITY
to be saved, and physical life, which are bestowed on the righteous and
unrighteous. “…He
causes His sun to rise on the
evil and the good,
and sends rain on the
righteous and the unrighteous…”
(Matthew 5:45 NASB).
SPECIFIC PROVISIONS such as
ALL the “unmerited,” abounding, unlimited FAVORS FROM God are bestowed upon
those who BELONG to him “IN” Christ Jesus. “… [They]…
enjoy the promise of blessings (provisions)
because
THEY BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS…”
(Ephesians 3:6 NLT).
Provisions or “unmerited” favors from God are experienced by the indwelling POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT and by the
external KINDNESSES FROM God.
God is the ProvideR and those who BELONG to him are the RECIPIENTS. “…Your … [provision] … be upon “Your people!”
Selah…” (Psalm 3:8 NASB). “…The LORD “will” … [PROVIDE for] …
his people with peace…”
(Psalm 29:11 KJV).
“…We are HIS PEOPLE...” (Psalms
100:3 KJV). WHO? “…Those
who BELONG TO Christ Jesus …”
(Galatians 5 NLT). “…Because YOU BELONG to him … (And remember that those who do not have
the Spirit of Christ living in them DO NOT BELONG TO HIM at all.)”
(Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “… [Everyone] … who believe the Good News share equally in the riches
inherited by God’s children. [They]…are
[ALL]… part of the same body, and enjoy the promise of … [provisions] … because
THEY BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS…”
(Ephesians 3:6 NLT). “….You
(also, if you are “in” christ) belong to God…” (1
John 4:4 NLT). “…He that is joined unto
the Lord is ONE SPIRIT [with him]…” (1 Corinthians
6:17 KJV). “….those
who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them DO NOT BELONG TO HIM at all.)”

Old Testament examples of
being divinely PROVIDED for were always based on the RECIPIENTS “within” a covenant relationship with God or those
who BELONGED to him. “…For I will
have respect unto you …and establish my
covenant with you.…”
(Leviticus 26:9 KJV). “…the Lord thy God
will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And
ALL THESE BLESSINGs (provisions) SHALL COME ON
THEE, and overtake thee…”
(Deuteronomy 28:1-2 KJV).
“…God
is the one who provides …”
Jehovah Jireh makes available or provides whatever is NEEDED and furnishes it
to those who BELONG to him.
“… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB). Jehovah Jireh has EVERY NEED prepared WAY ahead of time for those
who BELONG to him.
“…God will
generously PROVIDE all you need. Then you will always have
everything you need and plenty left over to “SHARE” WITH OTHERS…” (2
Corinthians 9:8 NLT). Jehovah Jireh PROVIDES generously for the NEEDS of those
who belong to him
“….The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. ….” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT). Jehovah Jireh PROVIDES for his
family or those who belong to him and they shall WANT for NOTHING that is
necessary.
When people think of God being a PROVIDER
they limit PROVISION to OUTWARD provisions ONLY. “…God
is the one who provides …” (2
Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV). “… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB).
“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…[I
am] … the one who provides …”(2 Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV). God
DOES “NOT” lie! “… God is not a
man, that he should lie; He doesn’t change his mind like humans
do. Has he ever promised, Without doing what he said?” (Numbers 23:18:24
NLT). “…[I am] …. the
one who provides …”(2
Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV).
What kind of PROVIDER is God? He didn’t
PROVIDE for me! He didn’t PROVIDE for my loved one! “….The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. ….” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT).
Jehovah Jireh, as “YOUR” provider means
God has ample provisions to supply or support your “EVERY”
NEED. “…
[I am] …. the one who provides …”(2
Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh has
GENEROUSLY procured or prepared “YOUR” PROVISIONS before YOU even realized the
SUPPLY was NEEDED. “… As
it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the
heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for
them that love him…” (1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV). “…God is Spirit …” (John
4:24 KJV). “...God sees not as man
sees, for man looks at the outward
appearance, but the
LORD looks at the heart…”(1
Samuel 16:7 NASB). God ZOOMS in on the “…hidden man of the heart (the “destitute”
part ) …” (1
Peter 3:4 KJV).
When Jehovah Jireh sent Jesus;
he sent him especially to PROVIDE. “…The
bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven
and gives life to
the world.” “Sir,”
they said, “always give us this bread.” Then Jesus
declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go
hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty …”
(John 6:25-69 NIV).
Jehovah Jireh is your
PROVIDER through Jesus Christ. ““…I AM THE LIVING BREAD WHICH CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN…”
(JOHN 6:51 KJV). “…Man shall not live by
[NATURAL] bread alone, but by every word (SPIRITUAL BREAD) that proceedeth out
of the mouth of God….” (MATTHEW 4:4 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh, as your PROVIDER, is
concerned with SATISFYING your NEEDS. “… Jesus said to them … God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB). GOD says, “…I… satisfy …”
(Jeremiah 31:25 NASB).
When some people have needs
they may not be totally destitute. They may have clothes and not food or food
and not clothes. They are PROVIDED with “only” what they LACK. “….give me
only my daily bread…” (PROVERBS 30:8 NASB). “…Give us this day our daily bread…” (MATTHEW 4:11
KJV). “…Give us day by day our daily bread….”
(LUKE 11:3 KJV). “….THE BREAD OF GOD is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said
they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus
said unto them, I
AM THE BREAD OF LIFE: HE THAT COMETH TO ME SHALL NEVER HUNGER…”
(JOHN 6:33-35 KJV).
However, Jehovah Jireh
PROVIDES for what mankind is TOTALLY destitute
of. “….apart from Me (the
Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5
NIV). “… it is God who works in [you]… in
order to fulfill his good purpose…”
(Philippians 2:13 NIV).
The PROVIDER has to supply
EVERY NEED! “… [Jehovah Jireh] … equip[s] (or
provides)… you with everything good for doing his will
…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “… [Jehovah Jireh] …work[s]
(provides) … in us what is pleasing
to him, through Jesus Christ …”
(Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).
When
Jehovah Jireh PROVIDES he SATISFIES the impoverished NEED of the hungry soul. “…The Lord is my shepherd; I SHALL NOT WANT…”
(Psalms 23 KJV). “…YOU SATISFY ME (or provide me with) MORE THAN
THE RICHEST FEAST …” (Psalms 63:1-5 NLT).
The ACT of PROVIDING is understood as a “prepared supply” of something needed. “…the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him…” (1
Corinthians 2:9 KJV).
One of Jesus’ many purposes was to SUPPLY
“the things” Jehovah Jireh prepared. “…TO GIVE his life as a ransom
for many…" (Matthew 20:28 NIV). “…to save
sinners…” (1 Timothy 1:15 NASB). “…… to preach
… to heal
the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance … and recovering
of sight … to
set at liberty
… To preach
the acceptable year of the Lord…”
(John 4:16-21 KJV). “…Your unfailing love
is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as
long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. YOU SATISFY ME more
than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of
joy…” (Psalms 63:1-5 NLT).
Remember, Jehovah Jireh
is Spirit and he speaks of spiritual things, including spiritual PROVISIONS. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…”
(John 4:24 KJV).
“…What we
have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from … [Jehovah Jireh] … so that we may understand what God has freely
given us (or provided for us) ….The person WITHOUT the Spirit DOES NOT accept the things that come from the Spirit of God …and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the
Spirit. …” (2 Corinthians 2:12-15 KJV).
To be TOTALLY destitute
of a NEED is NOT “always” visible, but
often invisible.. “…My (invisible) soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.
…” (Psalms 63:1-5 NLT). “….human desire (invisible desire) is NEVER SATISFIED…”
(Proverbs 27:20 NLT). Therefore, “… [YOU]…
are NEVER SATISFIED….”
(HABAKKUK 2:5 NLT). “…[Jehovah
Jireh] … will
supply all [your need (visible and invisible)]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB). “… [Jehovah Jireh ALONE will]… satisfy …and refresh everyone …” (Jeremiah
31:25 NASB).
A person could be outwardly rich, but
inwardly poor and totally destitute. “… [Jehovah
Jireh ALONE WILL]…satisfy …
[them[ …” (Jeremiah 31:25 NASB). “…[Jehovah
Jireh] … will
supply all [their need]…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB). . “[Jehovah
Jireh’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1
Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).
For example: “…[Jehovah Jireh] … gave (provided) Job twice as much as he
had before …[Jehovah Jireh] … blessed the latter end of Job more than his
beginning:
….After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons and his
sons’ sons, even four generations. So Job died, being old, and FULL of days...” (Job
42:12-17 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh PROVIDED for JOB, TWICE as
much as he had before, but if all you SEE is the outward PROVISIONS you have
MISSED the WHOLE purpose of the STORY.
Jehovah Jireh had
obviously PROVIDED
many VISIBLE provisions for Job, but in ONE DAY he lost them ALL. “One day when Job’s ….donkeys were grazing
nearby …the Sabeans attacked and made off with them.…another messenger came and
said, “The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and …another
messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept
down on your camels and …yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and
daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, when suddenly a mighty
wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It
collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to
tell you!” (Job 1:13-20 NIV). . “…Satan….smote Job with boils from the sole of
his feet unto his crown…” (Job 2:7 KJV). Job’s wife said, “…Doest thou still retain thine integrity?
Curse God and die…” (Job 2:9 KJV).
Afterwards, like we ALL do, Job asked Jehovah Jireh a lot of
questions. “Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the
belly?” (Job 3:11 KJV). “…I
know it is so of a truth: but how should man be
just with God?” (Job 9:2 KJV). “…Is there
not an appointed time to man
upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an
hireling?” (Job 7:1 KJV). “…If someone wanted to take God to court, would it be possible to
answer him even once in a thousand times?”
(Job 9:3 NLT).
Asking questions is the best way to find
answers. God answers through his word or one of his assigned mouthpieces. Elihu
made a suggestion to Job. “…I would
seek unto God, and unto
God would I commit my cause…” (Job 5:9 KJV).
Job sought God for answers about his LOST
provisions (Matthew 1:1-12). “… Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually…” (1 Chronicles 16:11
KJV). “… those that seek
me early shall find me…”
(Proverbs 8:17 KJV). “…seek,
and ye shall find… (Matthew 7:7-8 KJV). “… The LORD [is] good …to the soul [that] seeketh him…” (Lamentations
3:25 KJV).
When your outward PROVISIONS alter,
change, reduce, or are completely lost, it is normal to call on Jehovah Jireh. “… call upon
[God]… in the day of trouble: [He] will deliver [you]…”
(Psalms 50:15 KJV). “… call
ye upon him while he is near…”
(Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV).
When outward PROVISION drastically change;
it changes the person. “… For if a man
think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself…”
(Galatians 6:3 KJV). “… [It is] better to
trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man (or outward provisions)…”
(Psalms 118:9 KJV).
When your outward PROVISIONS drastically
changes and suddenly you are living in an altered reality, is God being unfair
to you? “Are [Job and his
friends]… saying, then, that God was unfair? Of course [he’s]…not! For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I
choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.”
So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it…”
(Romans 9:14-16 NLT).
Jehovah Jireh has the
sovereign right to alter our outward PROVISIONS as he pleases. “…he
does whatever pleases him…”
(Psalms 115:3 NIV). AND “…All the PEOPLES of the earth are regarded as nothing. He (God) does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the
earth. No one
can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have
you done?” (Daniel 4 NLT).
Elihu was instrumental
in ministering to Job about Jehovah Jireh’s provisional sovereignty. “… Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches,
and hearken to all my words … Why dost
thou strive against him (GOD)?” (Job 33:1-9 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh KNOWS what you NEED even if
you DON’T agree.
“…Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have
need of all
these things…” (Matthew 6 KJV). “…God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB). “…Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh SAYS: “…All things work
together for GOOD (Jehovah Jireh’s kind of good) to them that LOVE
GOD, to them who are THE CALLED to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh SAYS: “… [The evil one] … meant evil against … [you] … but … [Jehovah Jireh] … meant it
for good…” (GENESIS 50:15:21).
The PROVIDER SAYS: “…The plans [Jehovah
Jireh has]…for you … [are]… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and
a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV). “…Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart
of man, the
things which …[Jehovah Jireh, your PROVIDER] … hath prepared for … [those] … that
love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV).
Therefore, “… How blessed is the man who has
made the …
[Jehovah Jireh] … his trust…”
(Psalms 40:4 NASB). “…How blessed is
the man who trusts in …
[Jehovah Jireh]!” (Psalms 84:12 NASB).
Job LOST outward provisions BUT gained a deeper provision of
humility toward God. Job said “… You (God) asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such
ignorance?’ It is I (Job)—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about,
things far too wonderful for me”
(Job 42:3 NLT).
Job LOST outward provisions, BUT gained a deeper provision of
revelation about God. Job said: “…
I have
heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye SEETH THEE…” (Job 42:5 KJV).
Job LOST outward provisions BUT, gained a deeper provision of
respect for God’s sovereignty. The bible
says: “…Then the Lord answered Job from the
whirlwind: “Who
is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words?”
(Job 38:2 NLT). “..Where wast thou when I
laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who
hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line
upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner
stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God
shouted for joy? Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it
brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the
garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it, And
brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, And
said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves
be stayed?” (Job 38:4-11 KJV).
Your outward PROVISIONS can drastically change for days, weeks,
months, or years, but trust the PROVIDER through it ALL. Jehovah
Jireh showed Job outward provisions are temporary, limited, and finite. “…I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not”
(Job 42:3 KJV). “…Then Job
REPLIED to the Lord: “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.
I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes
to show my repentance” (Job
42:1,6 NLT).
In the midst of
experiencing a season of altered, outward provisions SEEK Jehovah Jireh like
David and Job did. “…[King
David]…sought the LORD,
and he heard [him], and delivered [him]… from all [his] fears”
(Psalm 34:4 KJV).
Job said, “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the
ear: but now
mine eye seeth thee” (Job 42:5 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh answered
Job in Job chapter 38 in the midst of his LOST “…The Lord answered Job…” (Job
38: 2 KJV).
After a period of TIME,
Job began to SEE, Jehovah Jireh, his PROVIDER clearer. “…now
mine eye seeth thee…”
(Job 42:1, 6 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh’s
PROVISIONS were NOT about what had happened TO him, but what was NOW happening IN him. “..I was
talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me” (Job
42:3 NLT). “…Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words?”
(Job 38:2 NLT). “...God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart…”(1
Samuel 16:7 NASB). God looks at the “…hidden man of
the heart…” (1
Peter 3:4 KJV).
God has the sovereign right to use OUTWARD provisions, if
necessary, to develop you, test you, correct you, and transform you into the image and likeness of his SON. “…be conformed to the
image of his Son…” (ROMANS 8:29 KJV). “… Be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed
by the renewing
of your mind…” (Romans 12:2 KJV). “…let the Holy Spirit guide
your lives.
…” (Galatians 5 NLT). “The
steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way”
(Psalms 37:23 KJV).
Job DID say this: “…Though he slay me, yet will I
trust in him…” (Job 13:15 KJV). “…
Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed
be the name of the Lord…” Job 1:20-22 NASB).
Jehovah Jireh PROVIDED for Job something GREATER than he had
before and Job SAID. “…now mine eye
seeth thee…”
(Job 42:1, 6 KJV).
When OUTWARD provisions
CHANGE; continue to trust God. “… [Entrust
yourself]… to him who judges justly…” (1 Peter 2:19-23 NIV).
IF Jehovah Jireh’s is your PROVIDER whether you are generously
supplied with OUTWARD provisions or you are NOT generously supplied with
OUTWARD provisions; you will be CONTENT. “…I have learned to be CONTENT whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be
in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want…”
Philippians 4:11-12 NIV). “….I can do (be CONTENT) all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “… The Lord is my shepherd; I SHALL not want. … …”
(Psalms 23 KJV).
Those who BELONG to God “KNOW” every single thing and experience
WILL work together for their good. “…All things work together for GOOD
(Jehovah Jireh’s kind of good) to them that LOVE GOD, to them who are THE
CALLED to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 KJV).
Job decided, “….all the
days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come…”
(Job 14:14 KJV).
Job patiently waited and trusted Jehovah Jireh. Later, Job
received a double outward PROVISION (blessing) for all he had loss. “…The Lord gave Job twice as much as he
had before. The LORD blessed (provided) the latter days of Job more
than his beginning…” (Job 42:10, 12 KJV).
Though Job received twice the OUTWARD provision Job’s spiritual
growth and development had DOUBLED too. “…You must grow in the
grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen…” (2
Peter 3:18 NLT). “…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all
these things shall be added unto you…” (Matthew 6:33 KJV).
The greatest part of Job’s story was NOT his double,
temporary, outward, PROVISIONS, but his double, eternal, inward
intangible PROVISIONS!! “…now mine eye
seeth thee…”
(Job 42:1, 6 KJV). “…I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance…” (Job 42:1-6 NLT). “…
Sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance …”
(2 Corinthians 7:10 NIV).
WHO you are INWARDLY is more
priceless to Jehovah Jireh than what you possess OUTWARDLY. “...God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart…”(1
Samuel 16:7 NASB). God looks at the “…hidden man of
the heart…” (1
Peter 3:4 KJV).
Jehovah Jireh said Job was “blameless and upright”. “..There

(Job 1:7-12 NIV). “…Through all [his changes]… Job did not sin nor did he
blame God…” (Job 1:20-22 NASB).
However, Job still needed to “…GROW
in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord … ” (Matthew 23:27-28
KJV). “...God … looks … [NOT] … at
the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart…”(1 Samuel 16:7 NASB).
Job was “blameless and upright” but still NEEDED to
continue to grow spiritually (Job 1:7-12 NIV). Jehovah Jireh
PROVIDED Job with a DOUBLE portion of HUMILITY, of RESPECT FOR GOD’S
SOVEREIGNTY, of SPIRITUAL REVELATION, of TRUSTING DEPENDENCY ON GOD, and of a DEEPER
PRAYER MINISTRY. “…The Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. The LORD blessed
(provided) the latter days of Job more than his beginning…” (Job 42:10, 12 KJV).
Job GAINED and became TWICE the blameless and upright man he was
before. “..There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright,
a man who fears God and shuns evil.” “” (Job 1:7-12 NIV). “…[Jehovah Jireh] …
gave Job twice as much as he had before. The LORD blessed
(provided) the latter days of Job more than his beginning…” (Job 42:10, 12 KJV).
What he LOST could NOT compare to what he
GAINED. Apostle Paul said, “….Everything else is worthless when compared with the
infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus [our]… Lord. For his sake I have discarded EVERYTHING
ELSE, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ…”
(Philippians 3:8 NLT).
“... [Jehovah
Jireh] …LORD looks at the heart…”(1
Samuel 16:7 NASB). The “…hidden man of
the heart…” (1
Peter 3:4 KJV). “…When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes…” (Job 42:10 NLT). “…The
Lord gave Job twice as much as he
had before. …” (Job 42:10, 12 KJV). “…The Lord blessed the latter end of
Job more than his beginning: … So Job died, being old, and FULL of
days...” (Job 42:12-17 KJV).
When Jehovah Jireh PROVIDES: “….all things work together
for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose…” (ROMANS 8:28 KJV. “…The
plans [Jehovah Jireh has]…for you….[are]… plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV). “…Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man, the things which … [Jehovah Jireh] … hath prepared for them
that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV).
If Jehovah Jireh is TRULY your PROVIDER you can: “…live by faith, not by sight….”
(2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).
“…In this [fallen] world
ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, [Jehovah Jireh has]…
OVERCOME the world…” (John 16:33 KJV). DON’T give up; Jehovah Jireh “IS” your
PROVIDER!
Job stayed faithful through
his GREAT outward LOSSES. Jehovah Jireh PROVIDED!! “…The Lord gave JobTWICE as much as he had
before. …” (Job 42:10, 12 KJV).
Joseph stayed faithful through
his GREAT outward LOSSES and Jehovah Jireh PROVIDED!! “…Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole
land of Egypt.” …thus he put
him in charge of the whole land of Egypt…”
(Genesis 41 NIV).
The Hebrew Boys stayed faithful through their GREAT outward LOSSES and Jehovah
Jireh PROVIDED!! “…The king PROMOTED
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon…” (DANIEL
3).
Jesus stayed faithful through
his GREAT outward LOSSES and Jehovah Jireh PROVIDED!! After
Jesus suffered unjustly he was and “STILL” is to this
DAY: “… highly
exalted …” with a “… name which is above every name…”
(Philippians 2:9).
No matter what it “SEEMS” like to you or
how long, Jehovah Jireh “IS” your PROVIDER; surrender to his LOVING
TRUST!! “…. SURRENDER
your pride and power (human will). Change your hearts before the Lord…” (Jeremiah 4:4 NLT). “… Not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43
NIV). “…‘[I’ve]…
given up everything to follow you…” (Mark
10:28-31 NLT). “….Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing
Christ Jesus [our]… Lord. For
his sake I have discarded EVERYTHING ELSE, counting it all as garbage, so that
I could gain Christ…” (Philippians 3:8 NLT). “…If the Lord will, [I] shall live, and do this,
or that...” (James 4:16 KJV).
“….O people (who BELONG to God) SURRENDER
your pride and power. Change your hearts before the Lord…”
(Jeremiah 4:4 NLT). “…[Jehovah
Jireh] … assure[s] … you that everyone
who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children
or property, for my sake and for the
Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brother, sisters, mothers, children, and property – along with persecution. And in the world to come that person
will have eternal life...” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT).
Jehovah Jireh ASSURES you - through Jesus
Christ - that your LOSSES will be
RETURNED to you!! “…I assure you that EVERYONE who has given up…
[whatever] …for my sake and for the
Good News, will receive NOW in return
a hundred times as many …[whatever]…– along with persecution. AND in the world to come that person
will have eternal life...” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT).
When Jesus was exalted above all others,
or Job was doubly blessed, or Joseph was elevated, or the Hebrews boys were
promoted, or Mary and Martha received their brother back from the dead – who
was the PROVIDER? “[Jehovah Jireh’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…”
(2 Corinthians 12 NLT).
Jehovah Jireh will not only PROVIDE in
eternity, but in THIS “PRESENT” LIFE!! “…NOW in return a hundred times as many … [of whatever]…” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT)
Jehovah Jireh, YOUR PROVIDER. His NAME,
which describes God’s person, GUARANTEES the forthcoming PROVISIONS!! “[Jehovah Jireh’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…”
(2 Corinthians 12 NLT). “…God
is the one who provides …” (2
Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV). “… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB).
“….Don't put your confidence in … people [OR OUTWARD
PROVISIONS]… there
is NO HELP for you there….” (Psalms 146: 3 NLT).
Jehovah Jireh, your PROVIDER, sent Jesus. “…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
Ghost and WITH POWER:
who went about doing good …for GOD WAS WITH HIM. And we
are witnesses of all things which he did…”
(Acts 10:38-39 KJV). Jesus PROVIDED YOU: “…his life
as a ransom …" (Matthew 20:28 NIV). “…to save
sinners…” (1 Timothy 1:15 NASB). “…… to preach
… to heal
the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance … and recovering
of sight … to
set at liberty
… To preach
the acceptable year of the Lord…”
(John 4:16-21 KJV).
True provision is witnessed and experienced through the
spiritual blessings or provisions in christ jesus . They are manifested (revealed) by the PRESENCE of god
through the indwelling holy spirit. “…[I
am] … the one who provides …” (2
Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV). “[Jehovah
Jireh’s] …Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (2
Corinthians 12 NLT “… [Jehovah
Jireh, through Jesus Christ] … will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB).
