It is HARD to relate or imagine God’s
holiness. There are NO human words that can truly give JUST or PROPER credence
to his HOLY nature. There IS and will NEVER “BE” none and no one HOLY like
Jehovah Kaddosh!!! “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16
KJV). “… There
is none HOLY as the Lord…” (1 Samuel
2:2 KJV).
We do KNOW that his
HOLY nature, alone, SETS Jehovah Kaddosh APART from any other gods or humans. “…
Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness,
Awesome in praises, working wonders?”
(Exodus 15:11 NASB). “… Day and night
they do not cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God,
the Almighty,
who was and who is and who is
to come…”
(Revelation 4:8 NASB). “… And
one called out to another and said, “Holy,
Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full
of His glory…” (Isaiah 6:3 NASB). “…
there is none
holy as the Lord…” (1
Samuel 2:2 KJV).
Holiness is God’s
nature and underscores EVERY one of his Godly traits, names, and titles. “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV).
Remember “I AM” basically means
GOD “IS” or GOD EXISTS perpetually from the past, in the present, and eternally
into the future by his OWN sufficiency. “…I am (or I exist as) the Lord, the God of all flesh …”
(Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). . “… I AM (or exist as) HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16
KJV).
“I AM” tells us that GOD “is” the sufficient and objective existence
of HOLY.
“… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… I, the LORD, am the first, and with the last …[of HOLINESS] ... I am He...'" (Isaiah 41:4 NASB).
“… I am the first and I am
the last,
And there
is no … [HOLY] … God besides Me…”
(Isaiah 44:6 NASB). “… there
is none holy as the Lord…” (1
Samuel 2:2 KJV). “… Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which
was, and is, and is to come…” (Revelation 4:8 KJV).
“… I AM HOLY…” (1
Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “I AM” implies, not only does GOD exists
as HOLY, but he exist
through
the CLEAR identity, revelation, and expression of his holy
nature. “… “I AM WHO I AM…”
(Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “… I AM HOLY…”
(1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “…The
invisible [Spirit; I AM; Jehovah Kaddosh]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are MADE …” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “ ... All things came into
being (such as holiness) through Him, and apart
from Him nothing came into being (holiness)
that has come into
being…” (John 1:3 NASB). “… I am
He...'"
(Isaiah 41:4 NASB). “… I AM HOLY...” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… I am the first
and I am the last…” (Isaiah
44:6 NASB). "… I am the Alpha and the Omega," …"
(Revelation 1:8 NASB).
God’s nature is HOLY and mankind does not
inherently share that nature. Jehovah Kaddosh’s HOLINESS in incomparable.
“… there is none
holy as the Lord…” (1
Samuel 2:2 KJV).
ALL
by himself, Jehovah Kaddosh, sets a standard of HOLINESS that can’t really be
explained or copied. “… I am the first
and I am the last, And
there is no … [HOLY] … God besides Me…” (Isaiah 44:6 NASB).
Mankind was originally created in God’s “image” and “likeness,” which included his HOLINESS. “….LET US MAKE man … after our likeness (HOLY)…”
(Genesis 1:26 KJV). “…in his OWN image (A
CARBON COPY)…..male and female created he them (HOLY TOO)…” (Genesis 1:27
KJV). “…And the LORD God formed
man [of] the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath
of life (the
HOLY Spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).
“…God is … [the
HOLY] … Spirit …” (John
4:24 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…”
(Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “…And
the LORD God …breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (the HOLYSpirit) and man became
a living soul…” (GENESIS 2:7 KJV).
However, mankind SEPARATED from Jehovah
Kaddosh’s HOLY SPIRIT when Adam and Eve CHOOSE to follow their OWN way. “… [Thus their] …
iniquities … [immediately] … separated [them]… from God…” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV). “…Every man
(or woman) is tempted, when … [they are] … drawn away of his own
lust, and enticed. Then when lust
hath conceived, it BRINGETH FORTH SIN: and sin, when it is finished, BRINGETH
FORTH DEATH…” (James 1:13-15 NLT).
THAT day in the Garden of Eden the HOLY SPIRIT
separated from mankind. “…Sin entered into
the world, and DEATH through
sin, and so DEATH passed to all men—“(Romans
5:12 KJV). “…SIN IS the
transgression of the law….” (1 John 3:4 KJV). “…The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).
“…God asked the
woman, “What have you done?” (Genesis 3:7-13 NLT). “…
ONE sinner destroy[ed] … MUCH GOOD…” (Ecclesiastes 9:18 NASB).
“… [Mankind
became] …separated
… from … [Jehovah Kaddosh] …” (Isaiah 59:2 KJV).
They were NOW “…DEAD in trespasses and sin…” (Ephesians 2:1
KJV). “…Through … [Adam and Eve] … sin entered into the
world, and DEATH through sin,
and so DEATH passed to all men—“(Romans
5:12 KJV). NOW “…All have sinned and fallen short of the glory (indwelling
presence) of God…” (Romans 3:23).
“…the body without (apart from) the …
[holy] … spirit is dead…” (James 2:26 KJV). “….Apart from Me (the
HOLY spirit), you can do nothing (be HOLY)…” (John 15:5 NIV).
HOLINESS is no longer
something MANKIND possesses as part of their human nature. “…All have … fallen short of the glory of God…”
(Romans 3:23).
In order to become HOLY again
mankind has to be “IN” a restored, covenant relationship with Jehovah Kaddosh
through Jesus Christ. “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” OUR HEARTS…”
(Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…He
that is joined unto the Lord is ONE spirit…”
(1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV).
God IMPUTES HOLINESS to them. “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to… [HOLINESS]…”
(John 3:6 NLT).
Jehovah Kaddosh returns
HOLINESS to mankind through Jesus Christ, the INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT. “…Jesus
Christ (God’s HOLINESS) is in you…”
(2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…Christ in you,
…” (Colossians 1:27 KJV).“…By
the GRACE of … [Jehovah Kaddosh] … I AM what I AM …” (1 Corinthians 15:10
NIV).
BECAUSE OF WHO GOD “IS”
YOU ARE WHAT YOU ARE. “… I AM what I AM …” (1 Corinthians 15:10
NIV).
God’s HOLINESS separates Jehovah Kaddosh from
EVERY thing and EVERY body else. “… I AM HOLY…”
(1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… There is none HOLY as the Lord…” (1
Samuel 2:2 KJV).
God’s HOLINESS also distinguishes him from
ALL things, ALL humans, and ALL gods. “… I AM HOLY…”
(1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… There is none HOLY as the Lord…” (1
Samuel 2:2 KJV).
God’s HOLINESS is NOT
simply about being some IDEAL of perfect, but it is about BEING whole,
restored, complete, Godly, and truly BEAUTIFUL from within! “…BE HOLY AS I AM HOLY…”
(1 Peter 1:16 NIV). “…God …
makes everything holy and whole .. [and] …make you holy and whole … [by putting] … you together—spirit,
soul, and body
…” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).
God’s HOLINESS is a
kind of BEAUTY that stems from his HOLY nature and it is more than AWESOME to
behold!! “…THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS…” (Psalms
29:2 KJV).
Human beauty is limited
to the outer beauty. “… [outer]…beauty
does not last…” (Proverbs 31:30 NLT). “...God sees
not as man sees, for man looks at the outward
appearance …” (1
Samuel 16:7 NASB).
Jehovah Kaddosh is
totally and completely separated from sin and darkness. That’s why God is “…majestic in holiness…”
(Exodus 15:11 KJV).
Jehovah Kaddosh has
given you a FREE makeover by making you ANEW through the indwelling HOLY Spirit.
“…behold, all things are become new…”
(2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
“…the
[HOLY] … Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…let the
BEAUTY of the Lord our God be upon [YOU]…”
(Psalms 90:17 KJV). “[Jehovah Kaddosh’s]
…Holy Spirit …is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians
12: 4-11 NLT).
“… Day

The ANGELS offer an
EXAMPLE of how God’s HOLINESS is RESPECTED in heaven by HOLY BEINGS. “… Day and night
they do not cease to say, “Holy…”
(Revelation 4:8 NASB). “… And one called out to another and said, “Holy…” (Isaiah 6:3 NASB). And,
EVERY one of God’s
character traits is underscored by his HOLINESS. Jehovah Kaddosh’s HOLY love.
His HOLY grace. His HOLY mercy. His HOLY peace. His HOLY presence. His HOLY
word. “… there is none
holy as the lord…”
(1 Samuel 2:2 KJV).
God’s HOLY character is
TOTALLY and COMPLETELY separated from SIN. In fact, there is NOT even a HINT of
darkness or wickedness “IN” God at all! “…
[Jehovah Kaddosh] … is LIGHT (HOLY) and there is “NO” darkness “IN” him AT ALL…”
(1 John 1:5 KJV).
People often compare
God with themselves or others, but Jehovah Kaddosh is NOTHING like human nature
AT ALL!!! “… I AM HOLY…” (1
Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “… There is none HOLY as the Lord…” (1
Samuel 2:2 KJV). “… God is
not a man that he should lie … hath he
spoken, and shall he not make it good (HOLY)?”
(Numbers 23:19 KJV). “…God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that
he should change his mind. Does
he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill…” (Numbers
23:19 NIV). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16
KJV).
The KEY to understanding Jehovah Kaddosh’s
HOLINESS is that it SETS him APART. “… there
is none holy as the lord…”
(1 Samuel 2:2 KJV).
There is NO human being
or false god that can LIVE up to or MATCH his HOLINESS. “… There
is none righteous, no,
not one…” (Romans 3:10 KJV). “…
There is none good (holy) but one, that is, God…” (Mark
10:18 KJV). We “… [have become]…..unclean (unholy) and [our]
righteousnesses
are as filthy rags….” (Isaiah 64:6 KJV).
The HOLY angels COVERED
their FACE and FEET out of RESPECT for his HOLINESS, which is SO PURE and
MAJESTIC. “… I saw the Lord sitting on a
throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above
Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he
covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called
out to another and said…“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full
of His glory (HOLY manifested presence)”…”
(Isaiah 6:1-3 NASB).
Believers often APROACH
Jehovah Kaddosh with very
LITTLE understanding, or thought, or
regard for his HOLINESS. When Isaiah recognized he was in God’s HOLY presence
he said: “… It’s all over! I am doomed,
for I am a
sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I
live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the … [HOLY] … King, the Lord of
Heaven’s Armies.” Then one of the seraphim
flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of
tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched
your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven...”
(Isaiah 6:5-7 NLT).
If the HOLY seraphim or
angels demonstrate such respect or reverence in God’s presence, what attitude
should polluted and sinful humans have when approaching Jehovah Kaddosh? “…
[Jehovah Kaddosh] … said … [to Moses when he attempted to approach his HOLY
presence], “Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the
place on which you are standing is holy ground…” (Exodus 3:4-5 NASB).
How does MANKIND become
HOLY enough to approach the PRESENCE of God’s HOLINESS? “…God … makes everything holy and whole .. [and] …make you
holy and whole … [by putting] … you together—spirit,
soul, and body
…” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).
How does Jehovah
Kaddosh MAKE you HOLY? “…Before he made the world, God
loved us and chose us in
Christ to be holy
and without fault in his eyes.
God decided in advance to
adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus
Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the
glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and
understanding. God has now revealed to
us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good
plan. And this is the plan: At the right time he will
bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven
and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from
God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work
out according to his plan. God’s
purpose was that we Jews who
were the first to trust in Christ would
bring praise and glory to God. And
now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you.
And when you believed in Christ, he
identified you as his own by
giving you the Holy Spirit …”
(Ephesians 1:3-8 NLT).
Jehovah Kaddosh,
through Jesus Christ, empowers mankind to become HOLY or to be MADE HOLY.
Without HOLINESS “NO ONE” will see God in this life or the next. “…work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy
will not see …
[Jehovah Kaddosh] …” (Hebrews 12:14 NLT).
It is OBVIOUSLY that
Jehovah Kaddosh is inherently HOLY and mankind can “ONLY” become HOLY through a
relationship with Jesus Christ. “…It is
God who works IN YOU to will and TO
ACT…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….Apart from [Jesus]…YOU CAN DO NOTHING…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them…” (2 Corinthians 6:16
KJV). “…May … God … WORK IN US what is pleasing to him, THROUGH Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).
God’s supplies HOLINESS to his
people. “…God
will supply all
[your need for holiness]…” (Philippians 4:19 NASB). “…God will generously PROVIDE (give) all you need (holiness). Then you will always have everything you need (holiness) …” (2
Corinthians 9:8 NLT).
HOLINESS is NOT natural
for humans and most think it is SIMPLY a behavior, action, or some conception
of perfection. “…be holy, because I am
holy…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV). “…ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy…”
(Leviticus 20:26 KJV).
First,
HOLINESS is “NOT” something you DO.
“…the Father that
dwelleth in … [you], he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV). “…God …works
in you … TO ACT in order to fulfill his good purpose…”
(Philippians 2:13 NIV). “ … God … equip you with
everything good for doing his will …”
(Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV)
Second,
HOLINESS is something you become through the indwelling Spirit. “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to… [HOLINESS]…”
(John 3:6 NLT). “ …The Spirit of God
dwelleth in you…” (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV). “…[Jehovah
kaddosh] … dwelleth in me, he
doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).
Third,
HOLINESS is something you practice as you are empowered by the indwelling
Spirit. “… God … work[s] … in us what is pleasing to
him, through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV).
Finally, God’s HOLINESS sets, those
who BELONG to him, apart for honorable and respectful USE.
Apostle Paul was “….set apart for the gospel of God...”
(Romans 1:1 NASB). “…God anointed (set apart) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER…”
(Acts 10:38 NIV).
HOLINESS is a PURITY of
nature and character that, those who BELONG to God, had not been privy to BEFORE
the indwelling Holy Spirit. They were dominated by sin or unholiness. “…The trouble is with me, for
I am all too human, a slave to
[unholiness]. …I don’t really understand myself, for I want to [be holy] …but I don’t
[allow myself to trust in or depend upon God’s indwelling Spirit]...
Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing
wrong; it is [the impurity and unholiness]… living in me that does it. And
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to [be
holy) … [which]… is right, BUT I CAN’T…Who
will free me from this life that is dominated by [impurity and unholiness]?” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).
“…The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…”
(Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “….Apart from [the indwelling spirit], [you]…
can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). Jesus EMPOWERS you “…to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man…” (Ephesians
3:16 KJV).
HOLINESS is a LOFTY
standard of conduct. However, let HOLINESS happen“… according to the POWER that
worketh IN [YOU]…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN [YOU]… “WILL”
“PERFORM” IT “UNTIL” the day of Jesus Christ…”
(Philippians 1:6 KJV).
EVERY command, instruction, direction,
way, or biblical example from God is HOLY. For example God says: “… the
Lord forgave you, so you must forgive
others…” (Colossians 3:13 NLT).
God’s HOLY forgiveness is faithful, cleansing,
and he remembers sins NO more. “…If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins, and to
CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “…love …keeps NO RECORD of wrongs. …” (1
Corinthians 13: 4-8 NIV). “…For I will …
remember their
sins NO MORE…" (Hebrews 8:12 NIV).
God SETS a HOLY standard for forgiveness.
If you struggle with God’s standard of forgiveness, you are struggling between
the purity of holy forgiveness and the impurity of unholy forgiveness. However, you “…can do
all things (forgive) through
Christ which strengtheneth (empowers) [you]….” (Philippians 4:13 KJV.
God’s HOLY nature SETS the standard for
ALL his divine attributes. “… I AM HOLY…”
(1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). He does NOT struggle or waver EVER to “BE” or
“MAINTAIN” his HOLINESS! “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV). “ … Jesus Christ is the
same
yesterday and today and forever…”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
Because Jehovah Kaddosh
is HOLY, he can be TOTALLY and COMPLETELY trusted. “… I change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV). There will NEVER be a
hint of change found in God’s HOLY nature of LOVE, MERCY,
GRACE, POWER, PRESENCE, SOVEREIGNTY, ETC.
“ … Jesus Christ is the same
… forever…”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
Jehovah Kaddosh’s HOLY
nature encourages TRUST in his HOLY name. “… the
Mighty One … holy is His name…” (Luke 1:49 NASB). “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV).
“… there is none
holy as the … [jehovah kaddosh]…”
(1 Samuel 2:2 KJV). “… [Jehovah kaddosh] … is
His name…” (Exodus 15:3 NASB). “…THY
NAME is GREAT in might…” (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV). “… I change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV). jehovah kaddosh!!!
