“… [THE NAME is]…highly exalted…” with ...[IT IS THE] ... “name
which is above every name…”
(Philippians 2:9).
*
The NAME “JESUS” is the
name ABOVE “ALL” other names and titles of God. “… [NOW Jesus is]…highly
exalted…” with a “name which is above every name…” (Philippians 2:9).
Jesus embodies the name
“JEHOVAH” and it signifies “THE WORD.” “THE WORD of JEHOVAH” is “JESUS,” which
literally refers to the LIVING revelation of the PRESENCE of God. “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man
knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture
dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).
JESUS signifies
“SAVIOR” which is the spiritual being who came to earth to
die
for sinners. “…The Lord is that Spirit…” too
(2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…GOD … [SENT] …CHRIST TO DIE FOR US…”
(Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…Christ also died
for sins ONCE FOR ALL …” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “… [HE] … SENT HIS SON AS AN ATONING “SACRIFICE” FOR OUR SINS….” (1 John 4:10 NIV).
It is “NOT” the name that makes JESUS Lord
and Savior. It is the spiritual being
BEHIND the NAME that makes it MEANINGFUL! …Behold
the Lamb of God
(the spiritual being), which taketh away the sin of the
world” (John 1:29 KJV). “…
He (the spiritual being) is the atoning
sacrifice for our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV).
The spiritual being GIVES POWER and
AUTHORITY to the NAME, because of “WHO” he is. “… The Son of Man (the spiritual
being) has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (Matthew
9:6 NASB). “… Jesus (the spiritual being) …spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth…”
(Matthew 28:18 NASB).
At birth, Jesus’ NAME signified WHO he was
to become: SAVIOR. “ … The
angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of
great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born
for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord…”
(Luke 12:10-11 NASB).
He was SAVIOR in the womb. The SAVIOR was
GIVEN the name JESUS!!! “… When
eight days had passed, before His circumcision, His name was then called Jesus, the name given by the angel before
He was conceived in the womb…”
(Luke 12:21 NASB).
God reveals his HOLY nature and divine LOVE
by sending JESUS. “… [JESUS] … a name which is above every name…” (Philippians 2:9). “ … Savior, who is Christ (jesus) the Lord…”
(Luke 12:10-11 NASB).“…not that we loved God, but that he loved us
and SENT HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins.”
(1 John 4:10 KJV). “…God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by “SENDING” Christ (Jesus) to
die for us WHILE we were still sinners…”
(Romans 5:7-9 NLT).
Jesus’ NAME distinguishes him ABOVE any
other name, particularly since SALVATION is found in “that” name ONLY. “…SALVATION
is found in no one else,
for there is no other name under
heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved…” (Acts 4:12 NIV).
“…And there is SALVATION in no one else; for there
is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we
must be saved…” (Acts 4:12 NASB).
ALL God’s titles, references, and names -
that revealed his holy nature and divine character - are represented in “jesus’ name.” “The Son is the radiance of God’s GLORY and the
exact representation of
his being…”
(Hebrews 1:3 KJV).
Some of the NAMES of God: ADONAI or YAHWEH or JEHOVAH or JEHOVAH ELOHIM or EL
ELYON or JEHOVAH ELOHIM which means: “Most
High" “lord ” "LORD God."

jesus
means: “savior” “anointed one” the lord of salvation” "immanuel: god is with us" “
“… [jesus] … is the … exact representation of
his being (holy nature, divine character)…”
(Hebrews 1:3 KJV).
The Spiritual BEING or the SON, or JESUS, “is” the
MANIFESTED and REVEALED PRESENCE (GLORY) of God to mankind. “…Jesus saith … he that hath seen me hath SEEN THE FATHER…” (John 14:9 KJV). “…
I and my Father are ONE…” (John 10:30 KJV). “…the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV).
The Spiritual BEING or the SON, or JESUS, “is” also
the LIVING, SPOKEN POWER, and DEMONSTRATIVE WORD of God to mankind. “…the Word (Jesus) was made
FLESH, dwelt
among us, and we saw His glory, glory
as of the only begotten (specially created) from the Father, full of grace and
truth....”
(JOHN 1:14 KJV).
Let’s look at a section
of John 1:14 . It says, “….The WORD
was made flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV). Jesus
represents “The WORD.”
The WORD
is also understood by the term logos,
which means communication from God to mankind straight from his heart.
“…The only begotten (special and supernaturally created) Son (the WORD), which is in the bosom (secret, intimate place; heart) of the Father, he hath declared (explained, revealed, or communicated for) him…” (John 1:18 KJV).
“…The only begotten (special and supernaturally created) Son (the WORD), which is in the bosom (secret, intimate place; heart) of the Father, he hath declared (explained, revealed, or communicated for) him…” (John 1:18 KJV).
The WORD communicated a MESSAGE of LOVE
directly from GOD in regard to SALVATION and REPENTENCE. “….God …now commandeth all men every where to REPENT…”
(Acts 17:30 KJV). "…REPENT AND RETURN, “SO”
that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB). “… [I]…kept declaring
….that they
should REPENT and TURN TO God,…”
(Acts 26: 20 NASB). "…REPENT AND RETURN, “SO”
that your sins may be wiped away…” (Acts 3:19 NASB).
The WORD was listened to, but NOT actually
HEARD. The WORD was clearly demonstrated, but NOT actually SEEN. The WORD was
in their midst, but they didn’t even know it. “… Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know
it…" (Genesis 28:16 NASB).
The WORD was clothed in FLESH and was
EASILY disregarded or missed so mankind continued in their trespasses, sins,
and rebellions. “….The WORD was made flesh….”
(John 1:14 KJV). “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “...God sees not as man sees,
for man looks at the outward
appearance, …”(1
Samuel 16:7 NASB).
It wasn’t JESUS’ NAME and it
wasn’t his FLESH that made him Lord and Savior; it was the
HOLY SPIRIT. “…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Ghost
and WITH POWER:
who went about doing good, and healing
all that were oppressed of the devil; for GOD WAS WITH HIM. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the
Jews, and in Jerusalem…”
(Acts 10:38-39 KJV).
It was the spiritual being BEHIND the NAME
and WITHIN the FLESH that GAVE them (name/flesh) POWER and CREDENCE. “…God is Spirit …” (John
4:24 KJV). Jesus SAID: “…I do
nothing of myself…”
(John 8:28 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV).
JESUS, the WORD wrapped in human FLESH
served as a MOUTHPIECE for God’s communication to mankind.
Listening to God’s voice through Jesus is
similar to listening to a person’s voice through a radio. One message came
through human flesh and the other through a radio.
If the radio suddenly became human flesh,
but continued to deliver the person’s message it would be like JESUS delivering
God’s message to humanity.
The VOICE you hear through the radio is
“that” person’s actual voice. The VOICE you hear through Jesus is God’s actual
voice. Voice also meaning message, speak or communication. “….The WORD was made
flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV).
What was the importance
of SENDING the WORD through JESUS? The bible SAYS: “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Ghost:
and THESE THREE
ARE ONE “…THERE IS NO GOD, BUT ONE…” (1
Corinthians 8:4 KJV).
For example: “…Then God
SAID, “Let there be
light”; AND THERE WAS LIGHT…”
(Genesis 1:3 NASB).
1.
“…Then God
SAID (God commanded );
2.
“Let there be light”
(Jesus, the Word, spoke his command);
3.
AND THERE WAS LIGHT (The
Holy Spirit did what was spoken and commanded)…”
(Genesis 1:3 NASB).
4.
The Holy Ghost (Spirit) DOES
what Jesus, the Word
SPEAKS and
God COMMANDS
God
commands.
Jesus speaks. The invisible, unseen Holy Spirit does the work.
“….The WORD was made
flesh….” (John 1:14 KJV). Let me say it with JESUS in it; God
commands; Jesus (the WORD made flesh) SPEAKS and the HOLY SPIRIT “DOES” what is
SPOKEN and COMMANDED.
God
(Jehovah, el, I am, etc) is
the FATHER.
Jesus is the WORD
of the father. The Holy Spirit is the POWER of the father. “…THESE THREE ARE ONE (ALL the FATHER).…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).
Jesus
is at the CENTER, between God, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. “…the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:…” (1
Corinthians 8:4 KJV).
The
CENTER is the most important position because it is the SOURCE from which ALL
else originates. “…In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God,
and the Word was God. He was in the beginning
with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into
being that has come into being …
(John 1:1-4 NASB).
The CENTER, which is
the WORD is the SOURCE of POWER, INFLUENCE, ACTIVITY, or ACTION. “… All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing
came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB).
The CENTER which is the
WORD is the point where everything else rotates or revolves. For instance, we
say the SUN is the center of the solar system and everything else revolves
around it. “…apart from
Him nothing came into being that has come into being … (John 1:1-4 NASB). “… [Jesus is]…sustaining ALL THINGS by his powerful
word…” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV).
Thus, the FATHER’s (God) WORD (Jesus) is POWER (Holy Spirit) and they are ONE. “…THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father (GOD), the Word (JESUS), and the Holy Ghost
(POWER): and THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).
“… THESE THREE ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV). Breaking the Father, the Word and the
Holy Spirit down into pieces is like looking at them in very, very slow motion,
but they are working together as ONE; fast and simultaneously .
Your
mind, thoughts voice, and actions have different names and functions, but they often
working together, simultaneously, as ONE. “…The Father, the
Word , and the Holy Ghost:
and THESE THREE
ARE ONE.…” (1 JOHN 5:6-8 KJV).
The WORD receives God, the Father’s command, speaks
it, and the HOLY SPIRIT does the
WORK.
“…the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV).
Your
mind commands your thoughts which impact the words you speak, and influence
your actions. Your actions do what is commanded by your thoughts or words. “…We will continue to live as we want to…”
(JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).
The
HOLY SPIRIT “DOES” what God commands and Jesus, the WORD SPEAKS “EVERY” single
time!! . “…I
change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV).
“ … MY WORD … SHALL
ACCOMPLISH (through the WORK of the Holy Spirit) that which I please,
and it SHALL PROSPER (through the WORK
of the Holy Spirit) in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11
KJV). God says, I “…am WATCHING over my
word to PERFORM it (through the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…”
(Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).
IN Ezekiel 37 you can CLEARLY
“SEE” how GOD COMMANDS, JESUS SPEAKS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES. “…Prophesy
(God commands), [Ezekiel]… and say to them (Speak the WORD): ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people …I will PUT my SPIRIT in you and you will LIVE …Then you will know that I the Lord have
spoken, and I have done it (the Holy Spirit WORKS),
declares the Lord...’”
(Ezekiel 37 NIV).
“…As [Ezekiel]… was
prophesying (SPEAKING GOD’S WORD
as he was commanded), there was a noise
(The Holy Spirit started DOING
WORK), a rattling sound, and THE
BONES CAME TOGETHER, BONE TO BONE. [Ezekiel]…
LOOKED, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them …[then]… BREATH ENTERED THEM; they came to LIFE
and STOOD UP on their feet—a vast army... I HAVE DONE IT, declares the Lord…’”
(Ezekiel 37 NIV).
The POWER of GOD’s WORD
… is CLEARLY SEEN in EZEKIEL. “…Since
the creation of the world God’s INVISIBLE QUALITIES—have been CLEARLY SEEN, being UNDERSTOOD FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE …”
(Romans 1:20 NIV). “… [THE BONES] …came to LIFE…’”
(Ezekiel 37 NIV). “ … BREATH ENTERED THEM; they … STOOD UP on
their feet—a vast army... I HAVE DONE IT, declares the Lord…’”
(Ezekiel 37 NIV).
“… THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WAS FORMED at God’s command … what we now SEE (the
whole world) did not come from anything that
can be SEEN (the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT). “…BY THE WORD (God’s commands,) of the Lord (jesus, the word) the heavens were made (the WORK
of the Holy Spirit), And by the breath of His mouth all their host…”
(Psalms 33:6 NASB).
JESUS,
the WORD, WHILE ON EARTH AND IN THE FLESH DEPENDED UPON THE HOLY SPIRIT to DO
what God commanded and he spoke. “…God anointed (empowered) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and
POWER, and …he went around doing good and
healing all ….because God was with him…”
(Acts 10:38 NIV).
God anointed others “WITH” the
Holy Spirit and POWER too. “…Stephen, a man full of God’s
grace and POWER
(the indwelling Spirit), performed great wonders and signs among the people…”
(Acts 6:8 NIV). “…God did extraordinary MIRACLES (by the indwelling Holy Spirit)
through Paul…” (Acts 19:11 NIV). “…I persevered in demonstrating
among you the
marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and MIRACLES (by the WORK of
the Holy Spirit)…” (2
Corinthians 12:12 NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV).
“…Now God
GIVES US many kinds of special abilities, but it is the same HOLY
SPIRIT who is the SOURCE of them all. …it is the same God who does the work IN and
THROUGH all of us who are his. The HOLY SPIRIT DISPLAYS God’s power THROUGH each
of us … It is the same and only Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts
and POWERS… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT).
God commanded that some
of us have special gifts. Jesus, the WORD spoke about those special gifts, and
the HOLY SPIRIT distributed those special gifts as was commanded and spoken. “…That great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you
with everything good for doing his will, and may
he work “IN US” what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory
for ever and ever. Amen…”
(Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…It is God which
worketh IN YOU both to will and to do of his
good pleasure…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth
the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).
God would NOT command and Jesus would NOT
speak WITHOUT complete faith and confidence that the Holy Spirit would do the
WORK. “…God is not human “…God is Spirit …Does
he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill…”
(Numbers 23:19 NIV & John 4:24 KJV)? “…Not one of all the LORD's good promises … failed; every one was fulfilled”
(Joshua 21:45 NIV). “…My counsel (WORD)…
SHALL stand, and I will do all my pleasure…” (Isaiah 46:10 KJV).
In Genesis 1:13 the Father’s WORD is
witnessed in the POWERFUL work of the Holy Spirit. “…Then God SAID, “Let there be light”; AND
THERE WAS LIGHT…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).
“…Then God SAID (God commands with complete
faith and confidence), “Let there be light” (Jesus, the Word speaks with
complete faith and confidence); AND THERE WAS LIGHT (The
Holy Spirit does the WORK with complete faith and confidence in what was
commanded and spoken)…” (Genesis 1:3 NASB).
God has absolute faith and confidence in
his OWN WORD. “…So shall
MY WORD be
that goeth forth out of my mouth: it SHALL NOT return unto me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH
that which I please, and it SHALL
PROSPER in the thing whereto I sent it…” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). God says, I “…am WATCHING over my
word to PERFORM it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB).
The WORD is the ORIGIN of EVERYTHING that
is made or created. The WORD is the CENTER point in which EVERYTHING else
begins. “… THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WAS FORMED at God’s command … what we now SEE (the
whole world) did not come from anything that
can be SEEN (the WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT).
It is no wonder the
NAME “JESUS” is the name ABOVE “ALL” other names and titles. “… name
which is above every name…”
(Philippians 2:9).
JESUS’ “IS” the WORD. The WORD is the CORE
SOURCE of EVERY ACTIVITY SEEN or DONE in ALL the universe. “… at
God’s command … what we now SEE (everything SEEN and DONE) did not come from anything that can be SEEN (the
WORK of the Holy Spirit)…” (Hebrews
11:3 NLT). “… He (Jesus) had a name written, that no man
knew … his name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB).
The WORD of God
influences “ALL” ACTIONS and ACTIVITIES. For instance the WORD influences
FAITH. “…Faith cometh
(is activated or influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…”
(Roman 10:17 KJV).
FAITH RESPONDS to the
WORD because it is “OF” the
HOLY SPIRIT. “…the
fruit of the Spirit is … faith …”
(Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). FAITH is “OF”
THE SPIRIT. “ …FAITH
(“OF” the Holy Spirit) IS the substance (guarantee) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…”
(Hebrews 11:1 KJV).
The
FAITH “OF” the Holy Spirit also “DOES” what it HEARS Jesus SPEAK and God
COMMAND.
Therefore, “…Faith
(“OF” the Spirit) cometh (is activated, influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…”
(Roman 10:17 KJV).
THE FATHER’S WORD IS POWER.
FAITH “OF” the Holy Spirit BECOMES active, in your life, by HEARING
THE WORD of God. “…you will abound in HOPE by the
power of the Holy Spirit…”
(Romans 15:13 NASB). “…I pray that God, the source of
HOPE, will fill you completely.... Then
you will overflow with confident HOPE through
the power of the Holy Spirit…” (Romans 15:13 NLT).
FAITH “OF” the Holy
Spirit RESPONDS to AND DEPENDS UPON GOD’s WORD to become activated.
“…Faith cometh
(is activated, influenced) by HEARING… the WORD of God…” (Roman
10:17 KJV). “….Apart from [the
WORD] you can do nothing…” (John 15:5
NIV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me (the Holy Spirit), he doeth the works…”
(John 14:10 KJV).
God “…dealt
to every man (believer) the measure of
faith...” (Romans 12:3 KJV). Thus, God
gives you a measure of his OWN faith.
“…God has sent
forth the Spirit
of His Son “INTO”
OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6
NASB).
Further, “…God… works in you to
will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose…”
(Philippians 2:13 NIV). “….apart from Me (God’s WORD), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).
IT IS
THE FATHER’S POWERFUL WORD (JESUS) THAT “…
is able TO DO exceeding
abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV).
IT IS THE FATHER’S
POWERFUL WORD (JESUS) THAT MAKES “…the
things which are impossible with men … POSSIBLE …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).
IT IS THE FATHER’S
POWERFUL WORD (JESUS) THAT CAN DO ANYTHING!! “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing
too hard for me?”
(Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).
IT IS THE FATHER’S POWERFUL WORD (JESUS)
THAT “IS” the CENTRAL SOURCE of EVERY ACTIVITY in ALL the universe. HIS WORDS ARE COMPLETELY TRUSTWORTHY. “…All your commands are TRUSTWORTHY…” (PSALM 119:86 NLT). “…This hope is a strong and TRUSTWORTHY
anchor for our souls…” (HEBREWS 6:19 NLT). “Everything you have heard … is TRUSTWORTHY and true…”
(REVELATION 22:6 NLT).
HIS WORD WON’T EVER DISAPPOINT. “…the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED…" (ROMANS
10:11 NASB). “…In You they trusted and WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED…. (PSALMS
22:5 NASB).
THEREFORE, YOU CAN“…Trust
in the Lord (the WORD, jesus) with
all thine heart…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…The LORD
(the WORD, Jesus) “WILL” accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…”
(John 14:31 NASB). “...Casting all your care upon him (the WORD, Jesus); for he careth for
you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).
“…All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are TRUSTWORTHY….”
(PSALMS 111:7 NLT).
For example, God told Abraham he would have
a son at 90+ years old and from that son he would make him a GREAT nation. “…Abraham believed God…” (James 2:18-24 NIV).
“And when Abram was ninety years
old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said
unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and
thee…” (Genesis
17 KJV). “…And
I will make of
thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great;
and thou shalt be a blessing. …And in thee SHALL ALL FAMILIES of the earth be
blessed…”
(Genesis 12:2-3 KJV).
However, God told him to sacrifice his
only son on the altar. If Abraham sacrifices his son on the altar, how will he
become a GREAT nation. After all, he is already past 99 years old. Well, “…Abraham believed God[‘s WORD]…” (James 2:18-24 NIV)..
“…It was BY FAITH (the WORK of
the Holy Spirit)
that ABRAHAM
OFFERED UP ISAAC as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham,
who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told
him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.”
Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back
to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead…”
(Hebrews 11 NLT)
“…Abraham believed
God…”
(James 2:18-24 NIV). “…Even
when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping--believing that he would
become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, "That's how
many descendants you will have!" (Romans 4:18 NLT).
To this day, everyone who has faith in God’s
WORD, like Abraham did, is considered Abraham’s seed. “…Understand, then, that those who HAVE FAITH (in God’s WORD) ARE children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and
announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who RELY
ON FAITH are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith…”
(Galatians 3: 7-9 NIV).
Abraham had unwavering faith in God. “…Abraham believed God[‘s WORD]…” (James 2:18-24 NIV). “…Even when
there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing..." (Romans
4:18 NLT).
Abraham knew that even if he had to
sacrifice his only son that God’s WORD is so POWERFUL that he would STILL be
able to make him a GREAT nation. “…Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a
sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead…”
(Hebrews 11 NLT). “….I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is
there any thing too hard for me?”
(Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).
Abraham’s faith was activated, EMPOWERED,
and influenced by the WORD of God. “…It was BY FAITH (in God’s WORD)
that ABRAHAM OFFERED UP ISAAC … Abraham
reasoned that if Isaac died, God was ABLE to bring him back to life again.…”
(Hebrews 11 NLT). “… Is there any thing too hard for [God]?”
(Jeremiah 32:27 KJV).
“…God
hath dealt (GIVEN)… to every man THE
measure of FAITH…” (Romans 12:3 NIV). “…The
fruit of the Spirit… is…FAITH…” (Galatians 5:22-23
KJV). “…God has allotted to each a measure of faith…” (Romans 12:3 NASB). “[God’s] …Holy Spirit
…is the SOURCE [of it ALL]…” (1 Corinthians 12: 4-11
NLT).
Hebrews 11 demonstrates how FAITH, when
activated or influenced by the WORD, empowers actions and activity:
BY
FAITH we understand …
BY
FAITH …Abel brought …
BY
FAITH …Enoch was taken up…
BY
FAITH …Noah BUILT
…
BY
HIS FAITH Noah CONDEMNED. …
BY
FAITH …Abraham obeyed …
he lived
there BY FAITH—
BY
FAITH …SARAH WAS ABLE TO
HAVE A CHILD…
BY
FAITH …THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL
WENT RIGHT THROUGH THE
RED SEA
BY
FAITH …the people of Israel MARCHED
AROUND JERICHO
FOR SEVEN
DAYS…
BY
FAITH these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled
with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the
mouths of lions, quenched the
flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness
was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put
whole armies to flight. Women received
their loved ones back again from death….” (Hebrews 11:1-35 NLT).
“…In the beginning was the Word
… (John 1:1-4 NASB).
From the very beginning God commanded WORDS for
Jesus to SPEAK and those WORDS influenced the Holy Spirit to CREATE the entire
universe. “…In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…”
(Genesis 1:1 KJV).
“…In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came
into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being
that has come into being …
(John 1:1-4 NASB).
“….Now
the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. …God said, “Let there be light,”
and there was light….God said, “Let there be a
vault between the waters to separate water from water.” …God made the vault and separated the water under the
vault from the water above it. And it was so. God
called the vault “sky.” And there
was evening, and there was morning—the second day. God
said, “Let the
water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.”
And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he
called “seas.” …God said, “Let the land
produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that
bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
The land produced
vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing
fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. …God said, “Let there be lights
in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let
them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the
earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the
greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the
stars. God set them in the vault of the sky
to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night,
and to separate light from darkness. …God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and
let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” …God created the great creatures of the sea
and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it,
according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. …God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according
to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the
ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.
…God made the wild animals according to their kinds,
the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along
the ground according to their kinds…” (Genesis
1 KJV).
“…the invisible things of him
from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN…”
(Romans 1:20 KJV). Do you “SEE” the POWERFUL influence or activity of God’s
WORD today? “…in him
(God’s POWERFUL WORD, Jesus) ALL THINGS hold together…”
(Colossians 1:7 NIV). “… sustaining
ALL THINGS by his powerful word…”
(Hebrews 1:3 NIV).
God’s WORD will STAND
forever! “…My
counsel (WORD)… SHALL stand, and I will do all my pleasure…”
(Isaiah 46:10 KJV).
“…In the beginning was the
Word (jesus),
and the
Word (jesus) was
with God, and the Word (jesus) was God. He (the WORD, Jesus) was
in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him (the word, jesus),
and apart from Him (the WORD, Jesus) nothing came into being that has come into being
… (John 1:1-4 NASB).
“… [jesus, the]… name
which is above every name…” (Philippians 2:9).
