GOD’S FAVOR IS: A NEW CREATION

 “…If any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “...I will put a new spirit in you…” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy  (FREE FROM SIN) and whole, (REUNITED WITH GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT) put you together—spirit, soul, and body …” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 MSG).

“…If any man(woman) be in Christ, he(she) is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “...This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person (NEW CREATION). The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ...” (2 Corinthians 5:14-18 NLT).

Hearing the gospel MADE you into a NEW CREATION. The WORD OF GOD (JESUS) is “…the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth (depends upon Christ work on the cross)…” (Romans 1:16 KJV). “…For you have been born again (made into a NEW CREATION) … through the living and enduring WORD of God…” (1 Peter 1:23 NIV).

HEARING the gospel gave birth to the indwelling Holy Spirit or SPIRITUAL LIFE that NOW dwells in you. “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).   “…The Spirit of God dwell in you (which makes you into a NEW CREATION)…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).

“…If any man(woman) be in Christ, he(she) is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “... The old life is gone...” (2 Corinthians 5:14-18 NLT).

“.. we  have all died to our old life...” (2 Corinthians 5:14-18 NLT).

“...I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me...” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

“... Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life (to SPIRITUAL LIFE) as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.  And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him (be SPIRITULLY  ALIVE with him). We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God (he lives to manifest God’s presence upon through GOOD DEEDS). So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus...” (Romans 6:5-11 NLT).

 “... For to me to live (to be spiritual alive) is Christ, and to die  (to the old sinful nature) is gain...” (Philippians 1:21 KJV). “...we, that are dead to sin...” (Romans 1:2 KJV).

“... So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living...” (Romans 6:11-16 NLT).

IF  YOU ARE “DEAD” TO SIN, WHY DO  YOU CONTINUE TO SIN?  What does the Word of God say about those who “continue” to sin. “... EVERYONE (NO EXCEPTIONS) who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness ... the one who practices sin is of the devil ... No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of GOD..” (1 John 3:7-10 NASB).

If you continue to sin, are you practicing sin? GOD IS NOT speaking about your mistakes, shortcomings, imperfections, weaknesses, failures, or struggles which is common to those who are TRAINING for HOLINESS (or training to live FREE from sin). “... he (she)... who has suffered (struggled to overcome sin) in the flesh has ceased from sin...” (1 Peter 4:1 NASB). “... whoever suffers (struggles to overcome sin) in the body is done with sin...” (1 Peter 4:1 NLT).  “…[God’s] grace (FAVOR) is sufficient for you, for [his indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE] ... is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me…” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV).

Struggling to OVERCAME sin is NOT the same as willingly practicing a SINFUL lifestyle.

An ONGOING LIFESTYLE OF WILLFUL SIN, ESPECIALLY AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN SET FREE FROM IT, is “PRACTICING” sin!!! “... EVERYONE (NO EXCEPTIONS) who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness ...” (1 John 3:7-10 NASB).

“... Whoever [struggles to overcome sin].. in the body is done with sin...” (1 Peter 4:1 NLT). “... EVERYONE who practices sin ...” (1 John 3:7-10 NASB).

 “... EVERYONE (NO EXCEPTIONS) who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him (ABIDE WITH HIM) will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him ... [or] ...who he is. Dear children, DON'T LET "ANYONE" DECEIVE YOU ABOUT THIS: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s [SPIRITUAL] ... LIFE is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone (NO EXCEPTIONS) who does not live righteously and does not love other believers DOES "NOT' BELONG TO GOD...” (1 John 3:7-10 NLT).

THE WORD says you are DEAD to sin, free from sin’s POWER and FREE to live holy. “... So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin...” (Romans 6:5-11 NLT). “…If the Son therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed…” (John 8:36 KJV). “Jesus saith…I am  (the Word of God) the way…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…"This is the way; walk in it…" Isaiah 30:21 NIV).“…I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye…” (Psalms 32:8 KJV).. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way” (Psalms 37:23 KJV). “…he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go…” (Psalms 32:8 KJV). “… I will guide thee with mine eye…” (Psalms 32:8 KJV). “… Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel…” (Psalms 73:74 KJV). “… Teach me the way in which I should walk …” (Psalms 143:8 NASB).

Therefore, if you go back to “practicing” a lifestyle of sin, you won’t go back as slave to sin, but as a volunteer.  “…Know ye not, that to whom ye (YOU) yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye (YOU) are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16 KJV).

 “.... STAND, fast therefore, in the LIBERTY wherewith Christ (the WORD) hath made ...[you] ...FREE, and BE NOT entangled AGAIN with the yoke of BONDAGE.... [UNLESS] ... Christ (the WORD) become NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are JUSTIFED by keeping the law [through self-effort]; ye are FALLEN FROM GRACE... ye DID run well; who did HINDER you that ye should NOT OBEY the TRUTH? This persuasion cometh NOT of him (God, the Holy Spirit) that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump... the works of the flesh are MANIFEST....I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God (HEAVEN)...” (Galatians 5 KJV).

The STRUGGLE to overcome is about your mistakes, shortcomings, imperfections, weaknesses, or failures, which is common to those who are TRAINING for HOLINESS (training to be FREE from sin). “... So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus ... you were dead, but now you have new life....” (Romans 6:11-16 NLT).

YOU ARE no longer dominated by the LIMITATIONS of the sin nature UNLESS you CHOOSE to be. “…The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to [the sin nature]. …I don’t really understand myself, for I want to [be holy] …but I don’t [allow myself to depend upon God’s indwelling Spirit]... Instead, I do what I hate. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is [the sinful nature]… living in me that does it.  And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to [be holy) … [which]… is right, BUT I CAN’T…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by [unholiness]?” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). 

“…The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).  “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed…” (John 8:36 KJV). “….Apart from [the indwelling spiritual life],.. [you]… can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).  

Jesus, therefore, EMPOWERS you to LIVE “free” from the POWER of SIN through the indwelling Holy Spirit. He will “…strengthened [you]… with might by his Spirit in the inner man…” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV). “… [He strengthens you]…according to the POWER that worketh IN [YOU]…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “… God  … work[s] … in … [you] … what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the Father... [that DWELLS within YOU]… he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV).

HOLINESS (freedom from sin) is the HIGHEST standard of conduct for God’s people and without the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT (Spiritual LIFE) it would be IMPOSSIBLE for believers to LIVE or become holy on their OWN efforts. Thankfully, “…The things which are impossible with men … [are] …POSSIBLE… [with God] …” (Luke 18:27 KJV).   “…I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). “…HE WHICH HATH “BEGUN” A GOOD “WORK” IN [YOU]… “WILL” “PERFORM” IT “UNTIL” the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6 KJV).

Believers, like Apostle Paul said, are to REALIZE: “…[they] ... are … A HOLY NATION…” (1 Peter 2:9 NASB).  Apostle Paul was“….set apart for the gospel of God...” (Romans 1:1 NASB).  “…God anointed ( also set apart) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER…” (Acts 10:38 NIV).Thus, “…you are … A HOLY  (set apart) NATION…” (1 Peter 2:9 NASB).

“.. we  have all died to our old life...” (2 Corinthians 5:14-18 NLT).“...I am crucified with Christ...” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).“... It was for freedom that Christ set us free...” (Galatians 5:1 NASB).

 YOU ARE “FREE” FROM SIN. YOUR TESTS, TRIALS, AND TRIBULATIONS COME TO TRAIN YOU IN HOLINESS, SET YOU APART, and TO EMPOWER YOU TO WALK FREE FROM SIN. : “…be holy (BE FREE FROM SIN)…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).  “…ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy (FREE FROM SIN)…” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV). ^“…It is God who works (freedom) IN YOU …” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).

Thus, HOLINESS or LIVING “free” from sin is “NOT” something you can DO in your “owN” efforts. “…the Father that dwelleth in … [you], he doeth the works (of making YOU HOLY)…” (John 14:10 KJV). ^“…God …works in you … TO ACT (TO EMPOWER YOU TO BE HOLY) in order to fulfill his good purpose…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).  “ … God … equip you (with the indwelling Holy Spirit) with everything good for doing his will (becoming HOLY like he is) …” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

“… “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate (live free from sin),” says the Lord. “ ... And do not touch what is unclean…” (2 Corinthians 6:13-17 NASB).“…Ye shall be holy unto me…” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV).

God has SUPPLIED all you NEED to live FREE from SIN. “…His DIVINE POWER (indwelling Spiritual LIFE) hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). “…I will supply all your NEED…” (John 12:32 KJV). ). “...He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “…The LORD (the indwelling Spiritual LIFE) “WILL” accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “…God is the one who provides …” (2 Corinthians 9:10-13 KJV).  “…God will generously PROVIDE all you need (INCLUDING HOLINESS)…” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT). “…HE (the indwelling Spiritual LIFE) “WILL” KEEP YOU STRONG to the end…” (1 Corinthians 1:8 NLT). “…the Father that dwelleth in me (SPIRITUAL LIFE), he doeth the works (OF EMPOWERING  believers to live Holy as a NEW CREATION)…” (John 14:10 KJV).

“...the life-giving Spirit has freed you  from the power of sin that leads to death...” (Romans 1:2 NLT). “...The Spirit of God ...lives in you ...Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do...” (Romans 8:11-12 NLT). “...the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires....” (Galatians 5:16-18 NLT). “...For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God...” (Colossians 3:2-7 NLT).

Once you become a “NEW CREATION” you have the indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE and POWER to live FREE from SIN.

However, the old, dead sin nature will continue to fight for control against the “NEW CREATION and indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE. “…So I say, let the Holy Spirit (IF you have the indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE) guide your lives ...the [ indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE] ...gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature (dead nature) desires. These TWO FORCES are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. … …” (Galatians 5 NLT).

The BELIEVER has the indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE and POWER to choose to live FREE from SIN. HOW?“… Be transformed by the renewing of your mind (the renewing of the mind will empower you, through the indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE and power, to put demands upon the old mindset and take authority over the flesh)….” (Romans 12:2 KJV). Otherwise, “….you [will become] ... slaves of the one you obey (follow)…” (Romans 6:16 NIV). Therefore, “... discipline [your] ... body and make it [your]... slave...” (1 Corinthians 9:27 NASB). “…The sinful nature is always hostile to God (therefore, the old mindset, affected by the dead, sinful nature, is also hostile to God). It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature (through the old mindset) can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “… (Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the [indwelling Holy] ... Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God (reunited with God, the Holy Spirit). The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).

“…Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do (through the dictates of your old mindset) what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit (the indwelling Holy Spirit) you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God (the indwelling Holy Spirit) are children of God…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).

 “…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by (the old mindset which is affected and polluted by) SIN? …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

“… The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord (the indwelling Holy Spirit too)…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

Jesus had another name. “… His name is called The Word of God…” (Revelation 19:12-13 NASB). “…THE WORDS ... they ARE SPIRIT,…” (John 6:63 KJV).

“… Jesus (the WORD of GOD) …came and SPAKE, unto them saying, “All POWER is given unto me (the word) IN heaven and earth…” (Matthew 28:18 KJV). “… Be transformed by the renewing of your mind (through the WORD)….” (Romans 12:2 KJV).

“…If the Son (the word) therefore shall make you free, you SHALL be free indeed (without a doubt!!)…” (John 8:36 KJV).

You are a NEW CREATION with the indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE and POWER to CHOICE to LIVE “FREE” from sin. After a person is SAVED, they choose to “….WORK OUT [their]… own salvation…” (Philippians 2:12 KJV). “

Working out your own SALVATION (the being saved process) includes: “…[Choosing to put]… aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to SAVE YOUR SOULS….” (James 1:21 NASB).

It is actively “…[choosing to] …throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life…” (Ephesians 4:22 NIV).

“…You must [also choose to]…put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor…” (Ephesians 4:25 NLT).

It is “….[choosing to]…let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice…” (Ephesians 4:31 KJV).

“….Ye also [choose to]…put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth….” (Colossians 3:8  KJV).

“…Wherefore [choose to lay] … aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings…” (1 Peter 2:1 KJV).

How can you do these things in order to work out your OWN salvation (work out "being" saved)? “…I can do ALL THINGS through Christ (the Word of God) which strengtheneth me…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). .“…it is God (the indwelling Holy Spirit) which worketh in [me]… both to will and to do...” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “….Apart from Me (the Word of God), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).

Working out your OWN SALVATION (the being saved process)  is a CHOICE. “… the God of peace… that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

“… [You]… are given...exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be PARTAKERS of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance PATIENCE; and to PATIENCE godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ…GIVE DILIGENCE TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND “ELECTION” SURE; FOR IF YOU “DO” THESE THINGS, YE SHALL NEVER FALL...” (2 Peter 1: 4-9 KJV).

NEW CREATIONS have a CHOICE to LIVE free from SIN. God’s FAVOR is the GIFT of indwelling SPIRITUAL LIFE that EMPOWERS them to take CONTROL over the dead, sinful nature. “...I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I [choose to] ...live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me...” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). “... I [choose to] ... die daily...” (1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV). “...[choice to] ..discipline [your] ... body and make it [your]... slave...” (1 Corinthians 9:27 NASB). Jesus (the Word) saith…I am THE LIFE…” (John 14:6 KJV).“…Choose LIFE (God, the Holy Spirit) …” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV).

You were a sinner by natural birth, but became a NEW CREATION through spiritual birth. You are FREE from SIN. “...By the GRACE (FAVOR) of God I am what I am…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

I AM ABLE TO LIVE “FREE” FROM SIN, BECAUSE THE SPIRITUAL LIFE AND POWER WITHIN ME!

THE WORD SAYS: “…If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “...This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person (NEW CREATION). GOD SAYS: “… [HE is] … watching over [his]… Word to perform it…” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB). “…So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV).

IF THE WORD SAYS YOU ARE A NEW CREATION AND GOD’S WORD ALWAYS TRUE, THEN IT IS UP TO YOU TO CHOOSE TO BELIEVE IT!

YOU ARE A NEW CREATION.“…If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

THE OLD SINFUL WAS IN CHARGE FOR A LONG TIME AND YOU WERE A SLAVE TO ITS DICTATES.

NOW YOU ARE FREE AND THE SIN NATURE IS NO LONGER IN CONTROL, BUT IF YOU DON’T DEPEND UPON THE INDWELLING SPIRITUAL LIFE, INDWELLING POWER, AND RENEWING POWER OF THE WORD, THE SINFUL WILL FIGHT AND WIN. “…Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit (the indwelling Holy Spirit) you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God (the indwelling Holy Spirit) are children of God…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).

Therefore,  “... Resist the devil, and he will flee from you...” (James 4:7 KJV). “...Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil...” (Ephesians 6:13 KJV). “…In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 ASV).  

God’s FAVOR in turning you into NEW CREATION means you are FREE from the POWER of SIN, you have the indwelling SPIRITUAL life and POWER to live righteous, and the old sinful nature is DEAD, nailed to the cross. “.. we  have all died to our old life...” (2 Corinthians 5:14-18 NLT).“...I am crucified with Christ:..” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).
