GOD’S FAVOR: UNSPEAKABLE GIFT OF GIFTS.

“... Every good GIFT and every perfect GIFT is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17 KJV).  “…The LORD SHALL GIVE that which is good…” (Psalms 85:12 KJV). “…A man can receive nothing, except it BE GIVEN him from heaven…” (John 3:27 KJV). “…What do you have that God hasn’t given you?” (1 Corinthians 4:7 NLT). “…BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HATH BLESSED us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

It is God, the Holy Spirit “…who HATH blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV). God’s blessings, gifts, and FAVOR all begin with being “IN” Christ.

“..[Everyone]… who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. [They]…are [ALL]… part of the same body, and enjoy the promise of blessings because THEY BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS…” (Ephesians 3:6 NLT).

Many of God’s BLESSINGS come in the form of GIFTS. “…The GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV). ”… ye [are]…saved through faith…it is the GIFT of God…” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV).

“…The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…the FREE gift…” (Romans 5:15 KJV).

“….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 2:38 KJV).

“…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“…I am leaving you with a GIFT—peace of mind and heart...” (John 14:27 KJV).

“…God has given us different GIFTS for doing certain things well…” (Romans 12:6 NLT).

“…every man hath his proper GIFT of God...” (2 Corinthians 7:7 KJV). “…As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace (favor) of God.” …” (1 Peter 4:10 KJV).

 “…His divine power hath given unto [you] ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV).

“…[People will]… know (witness) that everything [you]… have IS A GIFT “FROM” [God]…” (John 17:6-9 NLT).  “….Apart from [Jesus, the GIFT of reconciliation]…YOU CAN DO NOTHING…” (John 15:5 NIV).

“… [He sent the ] …one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus (the free “gift”)…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

“…Jesus Christ  (the free gift) maketh thee whole (SAVES, RESTORES , FAVORS YOU WITH SPIRITUAL LIFE, AND MAKES YOU WHOLE (NEW CREATION) YOU AGAIN)…” (Acts 9:34 KJV).

JESUS CHRIST IS THE FREE GIFT AND IS THE SOURCE OF ALL OTHER GIFTS. HE IS THE UNSPEAKABLE GIFT OF GIFTS!

 ^“…It is God who works IN YOU to will and TO ACT…” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “…God hath said, I will dwell in them…” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). ^“…[GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT, WORKS IN YOU]… what is pleasing to him (THROUGH GIFTS), THROUGH Jesus Christ (The FREE Gift)…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).

“… ye [are]…saved through faith…it is the GIFT of God…” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV). .“…The GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV).  “… the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT). “…the FREE gift…” (Romans 5:15 KJV).

“…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT...[OF GIFTS]…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).  Especially, “…the FREE gift…” (Romans 5:15 KJV). “….the [FREE]… gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved … IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). The GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV). “…Since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s GRACE would not be what it really is—free and undeserved…” (Romans 11:5 NLT),  “…We have obtained our introduction [to God through Jesus Christ (THE “GIFT” OF GRACE; The FREE Gift]… by faith into this [FAVOR]...in which we stand…” (Romans 5:2 NASB).

“…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).  “…BY GRACE have ye been saved … IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV). “...The GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV).

Jesus Christ “IS” the GIFT above ALL other GIFTS and is so WONDERFULLY GRACIOUS.  JESUS is the UNSPEAKABLE GIFT!! “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV). 

Jesus is the UNSPEAKABLE “GIFT that is the source of ALL other HOLY GIFTS, which are FREELY given to ALL believers. “...What we have RECEIVED is ...the [GIFT of the indwelling]... Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what  [ALL] ...God has FREELY GIVEN US (unmerited FAVOR “in” Jesus) …” (2 Corinthians 2:12-15 KJV).

“...The grace (FAVOR) of our Lord was poured out on [you]... abundantly…” (1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV). “…God … sent forth the Spirit of His [Jesus, the FREE GIFT]... “INTO” [Y]OUR… HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). ^“…Christ liveth in ...[you]…” (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

These additional GIFTS further express and reveal GOD’s immutable LOVE and FAVOR “in”  and “through” Jesus!! “… “…FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVE...” (Matthew 10:8 KJV). “… For all things are your's [in Christ]…” (1 Corinthians 3 KJV). “… [God, through Christ]… freely give us all things…” (Romans 8:32 KJV).

“…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV). Human Words cannot truly or adequately DESCRIBE or SPEAK about God’s incredibly GIFT of FAVOR in and through Jesus Christ. It’s UNSPEAKABLE!!

It is God’s immutable LOVE and FAVOR that CAUSED the FREE GIFT to be SENT to mankind. “…Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that HE [first] LOVED US...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “We love, because HE “FIRST” LOVED US…” (1 John 4:19 ASV). ^“….God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners…” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “… [Nothing]…will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord…” (Romans 8:31-39 NASB).

He has “….loved [you]...with an everlasting  … love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). “…God is … love…” (1 John 4:4-8 KJV). “…There is no greater  … LOVE …” (John 15:13 NLT).

Jesus, the FREE gift, was SENT to express, declare, and reveal God’s FAVORABLE LOVE to mankind.  The  FREE GIFT (Jesus), who is also the WORD OF GOD “REVEALED” God. “…The only begotten (specially created) Son (Jesus, the free gift), of the Father, he hath declared (explained or REVEALED) him…” (John 1:18 KJV).“... He (THE WORD; the free gift) is a light to reveal God to the nations...” (Luke 2:32 NLT). “.. A Light of revelation...” (LUKE 2:32 NASB).

 “…the Word was God … (John 1:1-4 NASB. The WORD OF GOD “is” God, which means “it” represents the presence of god as well as the presence of his goodness. “... the glorious gospel of christ (the word; the free gift), who “is” the image of god...” (2 Corinthians 4:4 kjv).

 When god’s glory is upon something, it means, at that moment, you are witnessing his “very” presence and the presence of his goodness. “…The Son (the Word of God; the FREE gift) is the RADIANCE (revelation) of God’s Glory (his presence; his goodness) and the EXACT representation of his being (Holy nature))…” (Hebrews 1:3 KJV). “…Jesus saith unto him, Have I (the WORD of GOD; the FREE gift) been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath SEEN ME (Jesus, the WORD of GOD; the FREE gift) HATH SEEN the Father (God); and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?” (John 14:9 KJV). “… I (the WORD; the FREE gift) and my Father are ONE [and the same]…” (John 10:30 KJV).

“…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV). Human love, at its best, has many limitations, shortcomings, disappointments, and will NEVER measure up to the FAVORABLE and IMMUTABLE love of God.

The unconditional and IMMUTABILITY of God’s HOLY LOVE, alone, sets it ABOVE any other kind of love.

“… [Nothing]…will be able to separate us from the love of God (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS LOVE), which is in Christ Jesus our Lord…” (Romans 8:31-39 NASB). He has “….loved [you]...with an everlasting (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS ENDLESS LOVE) love….” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). “…[God’s] ... love, which is the perfect BOND of unity (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS COMMITTED LOVE)...” (Colossians 3:14 NASB). “…He [however]… remains faithful (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS FAITHFUL LOVE)…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “…I am the Lord, I change NOT (WE ARE SECURE IN HIS UNCHANGING LOVE)…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  ^“Jesus Christ (THE WORD; THE FREE GIFT) is the same yesterday and today and forever...” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).

“…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV). When the FAVORABLE LOVE of God is truly REVEALED to you and you become AWARE of it by faith,  you will find yourself at a loss for words to describe such an UNSPEAKABLE love and FREE GIFT.

In studying the subject about God’s FAVORABLE LOVE, I personally sense, my limited mind, cannot even begin to describe or understand the DEPTH of this KIND of love.

I cannot say that I can even fathom how profoundly LOST and DEAD my soul was and the horrible prognosis of my impending, future damnation. “… [You are] …DEAD in trespasses and sin” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV). “…The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

Yet God, loved me, while I was a lost, blind soul and HE LOVED me enough to send a solution I never knew I needed. ^“….God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners…” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT).

“…He loved us and sent his Son …” (1 John 4:10 NIV). “… [He sent the ] …one … who can [reunite]... God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

There is a term in psychology called “bystander bias” and basically it describes how people are less likely to intervene or sacrifice themselves to help another in NEED because they feel intimidated or inhibited by the presence of others.

For instance, psychology books always used the murder of Kitty Genovese, in 1964, to provide a clearer understanding of bystander bias. She was being murdered and several bystanders saw her being stabbed to death and heard her cries, but did NOTHING.

“ Bystander bias” is said to happen because the bystanders assume somebody else has done something or will do something.

In addition, nobody wants to behave differently than anyone else in the crowd. Regardless of the reasons, a fellow-human, is suffering while no one comes to the rescue.

It is safe to say, that in many cases of bystander bias, no one may be willing to lend a hand to help their fellow-human in NEED, especially at the cost of their OWN emotional, mental, or physical suffering.

The problem of lending a helping hand to a fellow-human, in NEED, is that it can be risky, because it means, the person HELPING, must bear the responsibility of rescuing the person, which is limited to their strengthen, know-how, and capability.

Helping people, which I do as a professional counselor, cannot be done without entering into the troubles and sufferings, of others, on some level.

Jesus was not a BYSTANDER, but he went ALL in for you, risking his own life, in order to lead a helping hand and RESCUE the lost soul.“….the Son of Man came …to give his life as a ransom for many…" (Matthew 20:28). “He personally carried our sins … in his body on the cross… By his wounds you are healed…” (1 Peter 2:24 NLT).  . “…He was beaten so we could be WHOLE. He was whipped so we could be HEALED…” (Isaiah 53:5 NLT).

His FAVORABLE LOVE demonstrated through “HIS UNSPEAKABLE GIFT” expressed “IN” Jesus Christ SPOKE volumes. You were WORTH it to God, the Holy Spirit, even though it COST the life of his Son!

“…Christ died for [your] sins according to the scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV). “…Christ …suffered for us in the flesh (to help you and save you) …” (1 Peter 4:1-3 KJV). “…He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (RESCUED)…” (Isaiah 53:5 KJV). “…his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—“ (Isaiah 52:14 NIV). ^“….God SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners…” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).

God “…spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all….?” (Romans 8:32 KJV). “…God so loved the world that HE GAVE his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16 KJV). “...[Jesus]... said, It is finished (you are RESCUED)…” (John 19:28-30 KJV). “… I lay down my life... [FOR YOU] …” (John 10:17-18 KJV).  Jesus did “…not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). “... Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and SENT His SON to be the propitiation (intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…There is no greater love …” (John 15:13 NLT). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).

“….neither death, nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate [you]… from the love of God which is “in” Christ Jesus our Lord…” (Romans 8:38-39 KJV). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).

 “... [jesus] ... said, It is finished…” (John 19:30 KJV).“… my righteous servant (Jesus) ... [made]... it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he [bore] ... all their sins…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT).  “… [God sent the ] …one … who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus (the unspeakable gift)…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).

“…WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD (help me, Lord, help me) SHALL BE SAVED…” (Romans 10:13 KJV).

Therefore, “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT). “…The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him…” (Psalms 37:40 NLT). “… The Sovereign Lord helps me…” (Isaiah 50:7 NLT).  “…You are my helper and my savior…” (Psalms 40:17 NLT). “..He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me...” (Psalms 23 KJV).

“…[God is]…Your rock and Your fortress, your deliverer, Your GOD, Your rock, in whom [you can] … take refuge; Your shield and the horn of Your salvation, YOUR stronghold.…" (Psalms 18:3 NASB).

“... The Lord is NIGH (near) unto them that are of a BROKEN HEART...” (Psalms 34:18 KJV). “…BLESSED are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. ….” (Matthew 5:3-11 KJV).

“... He healeth the BROKEN heart, and BINDETH upon their WOUNDS...” (Psalms 147:3 KJV). “... Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.…” (GENESIS 50:15:21). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).

As we keep on living, we all witness or experience heartaches, pain, disappointments, tragedy, or grief we cannot comfort or fix. At some point in time, we have no choice, but to be a bystander of someone else’s suffering and sometime even our OWN. “…He helps me…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT). “... The Lord is NIGH (near) unto them that are of a BROKEN HEART...” (Psalms 34:18 KJV). “…they shall be comforted. ….” (Matthew 5:3-11 KJV). “... He healeth the BROKEN heart, and BINDETH upon their WOUNDS...” (Psalms 147:3 KJV).

Thus, there is ONE. “… the man Christ Jesus (the unspeakable gift)…” (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT).“…He helps ...[you]…” (Psalms 28:7 NLT). “…[your] ...helper and [your] ... savior…” (Psalms 40:17 NLT). “… BLESSING is upon THY PEOPLE…” (Psalms 3:8 KJV). “…YOU (God) MAKE [them]… “MOST” BLESSED forever; …” (Psalms 21:6 NASB). “…You surround [them]… WITH FAVOR as with a shield…” (Psalms 5:12 NASB). “…God’s Spirit dwells in [them]..” (1 Corinthians 3:16 NASB). God will “…never leave nor forsake you… …” (Hebrews 13:5). “…Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable GIFT…”  (2 Corinthians  9:15 KJV).

THE PROCESS OF GOD’S FAVOR TO YOU!!! It is the shed blood of Jesus, given in exchange for HIS life (death upon the cross), that restores spiritual life to your soul and purifies you from ALL sin.

“... It is the blood, given in exchange for [Jesus’ precious LIFE], that makes purification possible...” (Leviticus 17:11 KJV).  

“... One of the soldiers ... pierced his (Jesus’) side with a spear, and immediately blood (LIFE) and water (HEALING, CLEANSING SPIRIT) flowed out...” (John 19:34 NLT).

 “.... It is the blood ... that makes purification possible...” (Leviticus 17:11 NLT).

The BLOOD is the ATONEMENT. “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son  (and that Spirit “FLOWS OUT” ] “INTO” [YOUR HEART]…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE…” (John 3:6 NLT).

“…I  will put a new spirit  (NEW SPIRITUAL LIFE) in you…” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…The Lord (JESUS) is that Spirit[UAL LIFE]…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…Jesus saith…I am …THE LIFE…” (John 14:6 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

“…If any man (woman) be in Christ, he(she) is a NEW creature …” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).  “... The old life is gone...” (2 Corinthians 5:14-18 NLT).

“… [because] … all things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

“…[YOU ARE] ...ACCEPTED in the beloved (Jesus Christ)…” (Ephesians 1:6 KJV).

God’s favor is the qualified atonement, the restoral of spiritual life, the new creation, being accepted in the beloved, and his unspeakable gift the source of all other gifts.
