GOD’S FAVOR BESTOWS THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS UPON YOU

“…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “...But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness,..” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT). “….not having a righteousness of my own … but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith…” (Philippians 3:9 NASB). “…I am the Lord who …brings …righteousness to the earth…” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT). “…The Father (the HOLY SPIRIT) that dwelleth in [you] he doeth the works (of righteousness)…” (John 14:10 KJV).

RIGHTEOUSNESS is conduct that is witnessed in behavior that is transformed to be in regular, ongoing conformity to God’s Holy (free from sin) standards  or his Holy (free from sin) nature. !“… I AM HOLY (FREE FROM SIN)…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “…There is NONE HOLY (FREE FROM SIN) as the Lord…” (1 Samuel 2:2 KJV). “… “I AM” WHO I AM…” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB). “… I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).

We are talking about RIGHTEOUSNESS and “NOT” ethical behavior. “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “… apart from [Jesus], you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).
“...Jesus saith…I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6 KJV). “… [You] … can do (be and do righteousness) all things through Christ which strengtheneth … [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “…It is God (the Holy Spirit) who works in [you]… to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). 

Righteousness is a GIFT from God and ethical behavior is mankind’s self-effort to live righteous on their OWN accord or by their OWN human will. “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “…a right relationship with God that comes by faith (by depending upon the indwelling Holy Spirit)…” (Romans 4:13 NASB). “…the Spirit of God dwell in you… [and] …he doeth the works …” (Romans 8:9 & John 14:10 KJV). “…If you are trying … [in your OWN effort] … to make yourselves right with God by keeping the … [commandments], you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s GRACE (FAVOR)…” (Galatians 2:21 NLT). “…God is able to make all GRACE abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV). “…My GRACE is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...” (2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV).“…a person is made right with God by faith [or depending upon]… Jesus Christ…” (Galatians 2:16 NLT).

“… by the works of the Law (self-effort) no flesh will be justified in His sight…” (Romans 3:20 NASB).  “… No one is justified by the Law (self-effort) before God is evident; for, "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH (dependence upon the indwelling GIFT of righteousness )…" (Romans 3:11 NASB). 

“… We are made right (and stay right) with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are…” (Romans 3:22 NLT). “... APART FROM [Christ]... you can do nothing  …” (John 15:1-11 NASB). “... the sinful nature (flesh)... never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. …” (Romans 8:6-9 NLT). 

It’s IMPOSSIBLE for mankind to live truly righteous on their OWN accord. The bible says: “…As it is written, There is NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE ...” (Romans 3:10-12 KJV). “… [ALL have become]…..unclean and [their so-called] righteousnesses as filthy rags….” (Isaiah 64:6 KJV).  “…As it is written there is... NONE THAT DOETH GOOD, NO, NOT ONE...” (Romans 3:10-12 KJV).

“... the sinful nature ... never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. …” (Romans 8:6-9 NLT). Here’s PROOF: “…I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t….I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by SIN? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).  “…a person is made right with God by faith [or depending upon]… Jesus Christ…” (Galatians 2:16 NLT). “... APART FROM [Christ]... you can do nothing  …” (John 15:1-11 NASB). “…[jesus “is”] ...the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

Ethical (moral) behavior is mankind’s ATTEMPT to follow a set of biblical rules to guide their conduct and actions, they believe, align with God’s HOLY requirement for righteousness. “... the sinful nature ... never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. …” (Romans 8:6-9 NLT). “...Those who are still under the control of their sinful nature (depending upon their own righteousness by relying upon the flesh) can never please God. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).

If mankind COULD live righteous, by their OWN efforts, then they would NOT need Jesus Christ, the GIFT of righteousness. 

“... the sinful nature ... never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. …” (Romans 8:6-9 NLT). Therefore, “... APART FROM [Christ]... [they]... can do nothing  …” (John 15:1-11 NASB).

The TRUTH is: “…All have sinned…” (Romans 3:23 KJV). “… [ALL have become]… unclean and [their] righteousnesses are as filthy rags….” (Isaiah 64:6 KJV).  “…There is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not…” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV). “…ALL HAVE SINNED (BORN WITH A SIN NATURE) and fallen short of the glory of God (BORN WITHOUT THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT)…” (Romans 3:23).

 “….I was born a sinner (I was born without the indwelling Holy SPIRIT)—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me….” (Psalms 51:5 NLT).

“…The wages of sin is DEATH…” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “…As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10 KJV). 

“…ALL unrighteousness IS SIN…” (1 John 5:17 KJV).  

“…Who will free me from this life that is dominated by SIN (unrighteousness)? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).  “…a person is made right with God by faith [or depending upon]… Jesus Christ…” (Galatians 2:16 NLT). “... APART FROM [Christ]... you can do nothing  …” (John 15:1-11 NASB). “…[jesus “is”] ...the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

The reason  RIGHTEOUS conduct is possible is because God justifies YOU by faith (made you able to be right with God and do right) by faith. “… by the works of the Law (self-effort) no flesh will be justified in His sight…” (Romans 3:20 NASB).  “… No one is justified by the Law (self-effort) before God is evident; for, "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH (dependence upon the indwelling GIFT of righteousness )…" (Romans 3:11 NASB). 

“….not having a righteousness of my own … but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith…” (Philippians 3:9 NASB). “…The righteousness which is by faith …” (Romans 9:30 NASB).

“..This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17 KJV).

And through the indwelling Holy Spirit God’s people are empowered by the “gift of righteous” to live right (holy) and behave right. “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “...But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness,..” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT). 

“... He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake...” (Psalms 23 KJV).

God, the Holy Spirit is ALWAYS righteous (HOLY) in what he SAYS and in his CONDUCT. He NEVER changes. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “… I AM HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV).  And, “There is none holy as the Lord…” (1 Samuel 2:2 KJV). “… “I AM WHO I AM …” (Exodus 3:14-15 NASB).  “…I change NOT…” (Malachi 3:6 KJV). 

God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS is witnessed in his FAITHFULNESS to DO what he SAYS and BEHAVE in consistent, ongoing HOLY, immutable conduct. “…I will make you my wife (intimate, covenant companion) forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion…” (Hosea 2:19 NASB). “… he remains faithful , for he cannot deny who he is…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT). “God is faithful...” (1 Corinthians 1:9 KJV). “… [God is] ... HOLY…” (1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

God’s people, are ALL, called to LIVE righteously too in what they SAY and in how they BEHAVE. “…be holy (BE FREE FROM SIN)…” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV).  “…ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy (FREE FROM SIN)…” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV). ^“…It is God who works (righteousness) IN YOU …” (Philippians 2:13 NIV). “I can do (live righteous) all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).“…Apart from Me (Christ), you can do nothing (you cannot be righteous)…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“…. if any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a NEW creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). ^“…Christ liveth in [you]…” (Galatians 2:20 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness (that lives “IN” you)…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).  “... It is God (the indwelling Holy Spirit) which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “… you [are equipped] ... with everything good [gift] ... for doing his will, and may he work in [you, through the indwelling Holy Spirit]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ…” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

LIVING in HOLY RIGHTEOUSNESS proves who God’s true disciples are by the fruit of their conduct. “…Ye shall know [those with the indwelling Holy Spirit or the GIFT of righteousness]… by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…He who ABIDES in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit  (much righteousness)… ” (John 15:1-11 NASB). "…My Father is glorified by this, that “YOU” bear much fruit (much righteousness), and so PROVE to be My disciples” (John 15:8 NIV).

HOW?  “…God ...does the work IN AND THROUGH all of us who are his… (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NLT). “…The fruit of the Spirit (the righteous conduct of the Holy Spirit) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). "....The [indwelling] ...Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in [y]our lives …” (Galatians 5 NLT) “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL LIFE (righteous LIFE)…” (John 3:6 NLT).  

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV).  “…The Spirit of God dwell[s]… in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).“…the GIFT of righteousness (dwells in you) …” (Romans 5:17 KJV).“...God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV).“…Jesus Christ is IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). ).“…the GIFT of righteousness (dwells in you) …” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“…[You] CAN DO all things (be and do righteousness) THROUGH Christ which strengtheneth [you]…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV). “….Apart from [God, the indwelling Holy Spirit]… [you cannot]..do nothing [righteous]…” (John 15:5 NIV).“…The Father (the HOLY SPIRIT) that dwelleth in [you] he doeth the works (of righteousness)…” (John 14:10 KJV).

They have been given the “gift of righteousness” which EMPOWERS them to BEHAVE like God’s HOLY people (loving, kind, self-controlled, joyful, and peaceful, etc. “… The life (of righteousness) which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith [produced and empowered by] ... the Son of God (the indwelling Holy Spirit) …” (Galatians 2:20-21 KJV). “...not having a righteousness of my own … but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith…” (Philippians 3:9 NASB). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works (he doeth the works of righteousness “in” and “through” me)…” (John 14:10 KJV).“…Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). 

Righteousness is NOT something God’s people can do on their OWN or through the FLESH. “…I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).

However, because of GOD’S FAVOR, his people, are empowered, by the indwelling GIFT of righteous, which FREES and CLEANSES them, from sin. “…Who will free me (DELIVER ME) from this life that is dominated by SIN   …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).  “…If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness…” (1 John 1:9 KJV). “…Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies BLOT OUT “MY” TRANSGRESSIONS (sin). WASH ME THROUGHLY FROM “MINE” INIQUITY and CLEANSE ME FROM “MY SIN.” …” (Psalms 51:1-4 KJV).

Apart from the indwelling “GIFT” of righteousness, Jesus Christ, God’s people would have NO power to live or behave in righteousness. “…I want to do what is right, but I can’t.…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT).“…I am the Lord who …brings …righteousness to the earth…” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT). “ …We have this treasure  (the indwelling Holy Spirit or the GIFT of righteousness) “in” earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV).  “…Apart from Me (the indwelling Holy Spirit or GIFT of righteousness), you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). 

God’s people have the indwelling Holy Spirit, which comes with the “GIFT” of righteousness and MAKES them the righteousness of God. “…the GIFT of righteousness …” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “….ye shall receive the GIFT of the Holy [Spirit]…” (Acts 2:38 KJV).“ …God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” [y]OUR HEARTS…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB).

 “…Jesus Christ is IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “... In him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV “… [Jesus] ... [made]... it possible for many to be counted righteous…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT). Jesus “IS” “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). 

GOD’S FAVOR is GREATLY demonstrated, through Jesus, who EXCHANGED his righteous, spiritual life, for YOURS. “…ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though HE WAS [spiritually]... RICH, yet for your sakes he became [spiritually] ...poor, that ye through his poverty might be [spiritually]... RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).

To EXCHANGE is to give something to someone and they give you something back. Jesus GAVE you his GIFT of righteous to you and he TOOK your sins upon himself. “...God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God...” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV). “…the just for the unjust…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). 

In the case of God’s FAVOR; he created Jesus Christ to give his LIFE in EXCHANGE for the life of the SINNER, “…Christ …died for sins ONCE for all…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…he (Jesus) by the grace of God should taste death for every man (woman)…” (Hebrews 3:9 KJV). “…He [became]… the atoning sacrifice for [y]our sins…” (1 John 2:2 NIV).  “…the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). 

Jesus literally took the sinner’s LIFE and the punishment they actually deserved (FAVOR through Grace and Mercy). He willingly died for them (FAVOR through Atonement). “….the Son of Man came ... TO GIVE his life as a ransom for many..." (Matthew 20:28 NIV). “...Christ also died for sins ONCE for all, the just for the unjust..” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners...” (Romans 5:6-8 NLT).  “…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV).

It was an EXCHANGE of the righteous for the unrighteous, the just for the unjust, the sinless for the sinful, the holy for the depraved, the innocent for the guilty, or the spiritual LIFE for the spiritually DEAD.

Jesus’ SUFFERINGS, upon the cross, ATONED for the offenses of sin charged against the SINNER, which demonstrates he took their place and punishment.“…Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies (according to your LOVING FAVOR) BLOT OUT “MY” TRANSGRESSIONS (sin). WASH ME THROUGHLY FROM “MINE” INIQUITY (sin), and CLEANSE ME FROM “MY SIN.” For I acknowledge my TRANSGRESSIONS (sins): and “MY SIN” is ever before me. AGAINST THEE (God), THEE ONLY, HAVE “I SINNED” AND DONE THIS EVIL IN THY SIGHT…” (Psalms 51:1-4 KJV).

The FAVOR of God’s FORGIVENESS.: “…Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY…” (Micah 7:18 KJV).

The FAVOR of God’s MERCY: “..O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is GOOD; for his mercy endureth for ever” (1 Chronicles…” 16:34 KJV). “…It is of the Lord's MERCIES that we are not CONSUMED, because his compassions FAIL NOT. They are NEW EVERY MORNING: great is thy faithfulness…” (Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV). “…REPENT ye therefore, and BE CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord…” (Acts 3:19 KJV).

The FAVOR of God’s Son,  Jesus Christ: “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “…the just for the unjust…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…Christ …died for sins ONCE for all…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…[Jesus tasted] ... death for every man…” (Hebrews 3:9 KJV).

 THE FAVOR OF GOD’S LOVE.  ^“Herein is LOVE, not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US and sent His Son...” (1 John 4:10 KJV). “…Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great LOVE FOR US by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:6-8 NLT). “…God SO LOVED the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).

WHAT DID JESUS DO AGAIN? “…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV). “…ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though HE WAS [spiritually]... RICH, yet for your sakes he became [spiritually] ...poor, that ye through his poverty might be [spiritually]... RICH…” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV). “….the Son of Man came ... The FAVOR GOD is CLEARLY seen in Jesus’ DEATH: “…Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe. And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands….Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away…” (John 19:1-16 KJV).

“…And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him…” (John 19: 17-18 KJV).

“....After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: …” (John 19:28-30 KJV).

“…Christ died for [your] SINS according to the scriptures...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV). “… I lay down my life... No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. …” (John 10:17-18 KJV). He willfully  ^“…[gave]... his life as a ransom for many…” (Matthew 20:28 ASV).

HE GAVE YOU HIS RIGHTEOUS AND TOOK YOUR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS and your PUNISHMENT, UPON HIMSELF. “…my righteous servant (Jesus) will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT). 

“…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “...God’s wonderful grace(FAVOR) and his gift of righteousness,..” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT). “….not having a righteousness of my own … but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith…” (Philippians 3:9 NASB). “…I am the Lord who …brings …righteousness to the earth (the earthen vessel)…” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT). “…The Father (the HOLY SPIRIT) that dwelleth in [you] he doeth the works (of righteousness)…” (John 14:10 KJV).

GOD’S PEOPLE can rejoice over being FREED from the slavery of sin, being FREED from the effects of sin, being FREED from the influence of sin, and being FREED from the consequences of sin. “…by the GRACE of God I AM what I AM…” (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).

“..you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“… Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the [indwelling Holy] ... Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God (through the GIFT of righteousness). …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“..The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. …” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT).  “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“…Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit (the indwelling Holy Spirit) ... put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God (the indwelling Holy Spirit) are children of God…” (Romans 8:1-14 NLT). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

Jesus MAKES you both right with God and righteous, through the indwelling Holy Spirit. “…Jesus Christ is IN YOU…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

“...God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God ...God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ...” (Romans 5:10-16 NLT).“… [JESUS] ... [made]... it possible for many to be counted righteous…” (Isaiah 53:11 NLT).  “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

Jesus was treated as if he was a SINNER, though he was HOLY and RIGHTEOUS. He did this so that YOU, who WAS a SINNER, unrighteous and depraved, could be TREATED according to HIS righteousness and holiness. “…God so loved the world that HE GAVE his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16 KJV).  “…the just for the unjust…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). God “…spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all….?” (Romans 8:32 KJV). “…Christ …died for sins ONCE for all…” (1 Peter 3:18 NASB). “…[Jesus tasted] ... death for every man…” (Hebrews 3:9 KJV).

 “... it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him (Jesus) and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT).

BELIEVERS are NOW treated according to the righteousness of Jesus Christ, because he MADE us right with God, accepted in the BELOVED, sons and daughters of God, and empowered to live and do righteous by the indwelling Holy Spirit. “..And because of  [JESUS who made] ... it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he [bore]... all their sins...” (Isaiah 53:10-11 NLT).“…a right relationship with God …comes by faith (depending upon what Jesus did for you on the cross)…” (Romans 4:13 NASB). “… AS MANY as received him, to them GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE “SONS” (and DAUGHTERS) OF GOD (…” (John 1:12 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV). “ … [That makes you] …ACCEPTED in the beloved (Jesus Christ)…” (Ephesians 1:6 KJV).

God’s FAVOR has enabled believers to RECEIVE the “gift of righteousness” making them RIGHT with God and EMPOWERING them to live and do right. “…I want to do what is right, but I can’t. …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…Who will free me (DELIVER ME) from this life that is dominated by SIN (unrighteousness)  …” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 7:14-25 NLT). “…the GIFT of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17 KJV).

THE PROCESS OF GOD’S FAVOR TO YOU!!! It begins with the shed blood of Jesus, given in exchange for HIS life (death upon the cross), that restores GOD’S FAVOR to YOU. 

“... It is the blood, given in exchange for [Jesus’ precious LIFE], that makes purification possible...” (Leviticus 17:11 KJV).  

“... One of the soldiers ... pierced his (Jesus’) side with a spear, and immediately blood (LIFE) and water (HEALING, CLEANSING SPIRIT) flowed out...” (John 19:34 NLT).

 “.... It is the blood ... that makes purification possible...” (Leviticus 17:11 NLT).

The BLOOD is the ATONEMENT.

GOD’S FAVOR is the qualified atonement, the restoral of spiritual life, the new creation, being accepted in the beloved, his unspeakable gift of gifts, empowered strength and abilities, being cared for by God, the Holy Spirit (YOUR CAREGIVER), becoming A BLESSING, AND BEING GIVEN THE “GIFT” OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
