INDWELLING SPIRIT: I SURRENDER ALL MY TRUST TO YOU!!!

NEW BOOK OUT THIS WEEK!
GOD “IS” SPIRIT: SURRENDER

“…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…The Lord is that Spirit…” too (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…Submit therefore to God…” (James 4:7 NLT). “…Surrender your pride and power…” (Jeremiah 4:4  NLT).
*
Surrender is the KEY to FULLY experiencing the provisions, the guaranteed side effects of the Spirit, the empowering, and the covenant relationship with the indwelling Holy Spirit. But he that is joined (attached) unto the LORD is ONE SPIRIT…” (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). Christ is the HEAD or the FULLY responsible PROVIDER in the covenant relationship. “…the HEAD  (covering) of EVERY man is Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV).
Jehovah-Jireh, God “WILL” provide EVERYTHING I need (Genesis 22:7-8). I surrender all MY trust to God and to his CARE. “...Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).
The believer chooses to voluntarily relinquish control or authority to the INDWELLING SPIRIT, which is God. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). the Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is in YOU” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).
“…In this world we are LIKE JESUS…” (1 John 4:17 NIV). Therefore, “… have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but taking the form of a bond-servant emptied Himself, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross … “ (Philippians 2:5-8 NASB).
Jesus was and is the example of true surrender. He willingly chose to surrender his personal power, rights, CARE, and divine privileges to God’s will and plan.  I lay down my life... No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. ” (John 10:17-18 KJV). “….Christ pleased not himself…” (Romans 15:3 KJV).
Jesus definitely did “…not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). Jesus’ surrender ultimately turned into a sacrifice he willingly chose to make in order to follow God’s will and God’s plan; no matter what it cost.  Jesus said, Father not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV).
Most believers have their OWN agendas when coming into the relationship with God through Christ. They have important plans for their OWN life and agendas; not God’s. “…you hypocritesThis people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me…” (Mark 7:6 KJV).
They may have their OWN personal plan for their careers, their travels, their desired spouse, their pursuit of happiness, getting financially set, obtaining self-peace, establishing comfort, sustaining health, and maintaining autonomy … The people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).
The believer comes into the covenant relationship with their fixed agendas and those agendas often come into conflict with God’s will and plan for their lives. .“…My people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).
Most believers IGNORE God’s agenda OVER their OWN agenda. OR they will pick and choose the part of God’s agenda that FIT into their OWN and NOT the other way around. “…You skillfully ….hold on to your own tradition...” (Mark 7:9 NLT).
They may surrender to God’s plan for peace, prosperity, or other spiritual comforts; but not HIS agenda to forgive, submit, extend mercy, answer his call to ministry, or sacrifice their heart or life completely to his will. “… We will continue to live as we want to” (JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).
Jesus was sold out to God’s plan for salvation and he was unequivocally surrendered to his will; no matter the cost. “…I do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). They were a covenant team. “I and the father are one” (John 10:30 KJV).
Because of Jesus’ radical surrender to God; he said: Father not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV).
I use the word radical to paint a picture of Jesus’ absolute devotion to God’s will and plan, but it really isn’t radical at all. “… [Jesus came] … to serve, and to give His life ...” (Matthew 20:28 KJV). “…I desire to do your will, my God…” (Psalms 40:8 KJV).
Jesus’ devotion is meant to be a standard for the believer’s own devotion to God’s will and plan. Jesus said: “…that the world may know … as the Father gave me commandments, even so I do…” (John 14:31 KJV). “…I must be about my Father's business?” (Luke 2:49 KJV).
Many believers don’t commit or experience that kind devotion to God’s will and plan; even on the most basic level. “…My people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted, following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts (or their own agendas)” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).
Yet, believers are to present themselves to God, just like Jesus did, as a “…living sacrifice…” which is “…[their] … reasonable service…” (Romans 12:1 KJV).
Reasonable service” is one that is equitable, just, and fair or the “least” you can do; considering what God has done for YOU. “…The LORD has done great things for us …” (Psalms 126:3 NIV). “…Rejoice and be glad, For the LORD has done great things…” (Joel 2:21 NASB).Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:7-9 NLT).
Nonetheless, many believers are not willing to give even their “…reasonable service…” (Romans 12:1 KJV).
Whatever you GIVE UP to surrender to God’s will and God’s plan; God promises to reward you for it abundantly! “… [You]…will receive NOW in return (in this life) a hundred times as many houses, brother, sisters, mothers, children, and property…” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT).
However, please note, God will NOT reward you merely for your surrender to his will and plan. God will reward you because you TRUST HIM. “… How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust…” (Psalms 40:4 NASB). “…How blessed is the man who trusts in You!” (Psalms 84:12 NASB).
It is NOT simply your surrender to God’s will and God’s plan, but it is your TRUST in his will and plan.  “… Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord…” (Jeremiah 17:7 NASB).
Your TRUSTING SURRENDER to God’s will and plan is simply your “… reasonable service…” (Romans 12:1 KJV).
Job’s attitude of surrender to God’s will and plan, for his life, was his “…reasonable service…”  Job said, Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God …” (Job 1:20-22 NASB).
Job was hand-picked by God for purpose. Jesus was hand-picked for purpose too and thus God “spared not his own Son, but delivered (surrendered) him up for us all….?” (Romans 8:32 KJV).
God will not spare you either. Job lost EVERY AGENDA he had tragically and yet he said, “...though he slay me, yet will I trust in him…” (Job 13:15 KJV). Job knew inwardly that surrender to God’s will and plan was his “…reasonable service…” and he kept his devotion to God.
When God’s will and plan drives your agenda whatever is lost, altered, or totally transformed is worthless when compared to the relationship with God. The believer safely and trustingly surrenders him or herself into God’s sovereign care.everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus [our]… Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ” (Philippians 3:8 NLT). “…The LORD “WILL” accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “...Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).
“...he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). This is another KEY to surrendering to God’s will and God’s plan. God’s CARE becomes a place of SAFETY and REST. “…The name of the Lord is a strong tower (REFUGE); The righteous runs into it and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10 NASB). “…God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble…” (Psalms 46:1 NASB). “…you will find rest for your souls…” (Matthew 11:29 NASB)
The believer chooses to trustingly surrender control to the INDWELLING SPIRIT. “…He alone is my refuge, my place of safetyFor he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.  He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,  no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. …The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name…” (Psalms 91 NLT).
The believer voluntarily gives up their OWN personal agendas for God’s agendas.not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV). “…I desire to do your will, my God…” (Psalms 40:8 KJV).
Jesus willingly sacrificed himself by totally surrendering to God’s will and God’s plan. “… have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who ,… taking the form of a bond-servant emptied Himself, andhumbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. …” (Philippians 2:5-8 NASB).
He relinquished any personal agenda of his OWN by emptying himself. “… taking the form of a bond-servant emptied Himself. …” (Philippians 2:5-8 NASB).
Jesus Christ emptied himself of any and everything that would potentially stand in the way of God’s will or God’s plan for his life.not My will, but Yours be done…" (Luke 22:42-43 NIV).
Jesus relinquished any agenda he could have had for family life, popularity, acceptance, material comforts, or NOT dying on the cross. “… have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who …humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. …” (Philippians 2:5-8 NASB).
TRUSTING SURRENDER is absolutely necessary to fulfill God’s will and God’s plan for your life. “…may he (God) work IN [the believer]… what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV).
TRUSTING SURRENDER is necessary to fully experience the covenant relationship with the INDWELLING SPIRIT. “… apart from … [Jesus, I] … can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV). “…I can do ALL THINGS through Christ which strengtheneth me…” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).
TRUSTING SURRENDER requires the believer to voluntarily choose to GIVE UP their rights, privileges, reputations, comforts, conveniences, desires, material possessions, personal plans, and private expectations without holding onto pride or autonomy. “…Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).“…Surrender your pride and power…” (Jeremiah 4:4  NLT). “…Submit to God, and you will have peace...” (Job 22:21 NLT). “…Submit therefore to God…” (James 4:7 NLT).
TRUSTING SURRENDER requires the believer to voluntarily choose to empty themselves and follow God will and plan for their lives. “…choose LIFE” (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV). “… taking the form of a bond-servant emptied Himself. …” (Philippians 2:5-8 NASB).
In my OWN life and experience TRUSTING SURRENDER is HARD WON and is often wroth with tears and sadness. “… Those who … keep their promises even when it hurts…” (Psalms 15:4 NLT). “… He that sweareth to his OWN hurt and changeth not…” (Psalms 15:4 KJV).
Self-sacrifice, for God’s will and God’s plan, is costly, but is also the hallmark of the Christian lifestyle. “… The Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!” (Matthew 13:45-46 NLT).
GIVING UP one’s personal agenda is the MARK of Christian maturity. The bible suggests ways to make surrender easier. “…Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth…” (Matthew 6:19 NASB). “….He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me…” (Matthew 10:37-38 NASB). “… everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name’s sake…” (Matthew 19:29 & Luke 9:23 NASB).  “… I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it…” (1 Corinthians 9:23 NASB). “… if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to stumble…” (1 Corinthians 8:13 NASB). “….always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.  For we who live are constantly being delivered (SURRENDERED) over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death works in us, but life in you…” (2 Corinthians 4:10-12 NASB).
In the covenant relationship, where the indwelling Spirit is HEAD; the believer will be challenged to voluntarily choose to GIVE UP his or her personal control. “…If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me…” (Matthew 16:24 NASB).
Surrendering to the indwelling Spirit is surrendering to God’s love, to his care, to his provisions, to his spiritual blessings, and to his TRUST. “ .. The Lord says, “I will protect those who trust in my name…” (Psalms 91 NLT).
Most importantly, the believer surrenders to his SAFETY and his REFUGE; putting aside their OWN agendas and plans and trusting the one God’s has prepared. “…the plans [God has]…for you….[are]… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
Even if surrendering to God seems filled with trouble; it isn’t, but will ALWAYS be for the purpose of being blessed. “the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: ….After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons and his sons’ sons, even four generations. So Job died, being old, and FULL of days...” (Job 42:12-17 KJV).
Surrendering to self may seem filled with comforts, and peace; it isn’t and will ALWAYS lead to death. “…There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of DEATH...” (Proverbs  14:20 KJV).
Every true believer had to surrender to God’s way of salvation, because there is no other way to be saved and get into a right relationship with God. . “…a right relationship with God that comes by faith…” (Romans 4:13 NASB). “…If you are trying … [in your flesh] … to make yourselves right with God by keeping the … [commandment], you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s GRACE…” (Galatians 2:21 NLT). “…a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ…” (Galatians 2:16 NLT).
SURRENDERING to God’s gift of salvation is to voluntarily choose to allow God to GIVE you the BLESSING of a NEW NATURE. “…he became author of eternal salvation unto all them who obey him…” (Hebrew 5:7-8-9 KJV)...Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
Therefore, a continual TRUSTING SURRENDERED life to God is a life that abundantly exhibits the fruit of the Spirit. “…Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing…” (John 15:4-6 NASB). “…HEREIN IS MY FATHER GLORIED THAT YE BEAR MUCH FRUIT….” (JOHN 15:7 KJV).
A TRUSTING SURRENDERED life toward God is a life that is purposely denied. “… Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me…” (Mark 8:34 KJV).
A TRUSTING SURRENDERED life toward God is a life that will be RICHLY rewarded; NOW and LATER. …‘We’ve given up everything to follow you…” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT). And Jesus said to him, …I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brother, sisters, mothers, children, and property – along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life...” (Mark 10:28-31 NLT).
Jesus surrendered to his God-given purpose. “….the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28).
Jesus surrendered “ALL” his divine privileges, was demoted to human flesh, became a faithful servant to God, and “…emptied himself…” (Philippians 2:7 NASB). “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…” (Philippians 2:6-7 KJV).
Jesus’ relationship with God, during his human life on earth, was an example of trusting surrender. “…He (Jesus) … [completely] … entrusted himself to him who judges justly” (1 Peter 2:19-23 NIV).
Jesus proclaimed with his mouth and his actions that he came to do God’s will. “…I seek not mine own will…” and surrendered to His will. “…but the will of the Father which hath sent me...”
While on earth he demonstrated trusting surrender to God’s purpose. “…the Son can do nothing of himself [and said,]…I can of mine own self do nothing…...” John 5:19, 30 KJV).
Jesus was absolutely devoted to God and they were an undivided team. “I and the father are one” (John 10:30 KJV). Jesus Christ claimed he had all the rights of his Father in heaven. He could take advantage of those rights if he wanted to, but he didn’t. Instead, he surrendered and “[he]… took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…” Philippians 2:6-7 KJV).
He also had the freedom to exercise his human will and rebel against the will of God. However, Jesus said, I lay down my life... No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father…” (John 10:17-18 KJV).
Nevertheless, Jesus willfully decided not to use the privileges of his divine connection, but trustingly surrendered to God.  “…..nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done…” (Luke 22:42 KJV).
God surrenderED his love to man through jesus. God so loved the world that he gave (surrendered) his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). “…Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent (surrendered) His Son to be the propitiation (substitute, intervention) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV). God “spared not his own Son, but delivered (surrendered) him up for us all….?” (Romans 8:32 KJV).
Jesus surrenderED his life to god for man. I lay down (surrender) my life... No one takes it from me, but I lay it down (surrender it) of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father…” (John 10:17-18 KJV). “….the Son of Man came … to give (surrender) his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28).
Man surrenders his life to god through Jesus christ.  “….he gave  his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16 KJV). “…We give [God]...only what [he]…first gave us! …” (1 Chronicles 29:14 NLT).  “…My son, GIVE ME thine HEART, and let thine eyes observe my ways…” (Proverbs 23:26 KJV). confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (ROMANS 10:9 KJV)
jesus IMPARTS the power to surrender to god by his indwelling spirit. “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” [YOUR HEART]…” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the Lord is that Spirit…” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…the …[Holy] … Spirit of God dwell[s] in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  “…The Holy Spirit gives birth to SPIRITUAL [enabling power]…” (John 3:6 NLT). “…It is the SPIRIT who gives [enabling power]…” (John 6:63 NASB).
Jesus EMPOWERS the ability to surrender by his indwelling spirit. Therefore, …That great Shepherd of the sheep, EQUIP (empower) you with everything good [ability to surrender]… for doing his will, and may he work in us (the ability to surrender) what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “…God is Spirit…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…It is God which worketh IN YOU both to will (be empowered) and to do (trustingly surrender)” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).
jesus supplies the power and ability to surrender by his indwelling power. “…God shall supply ALL YOUR NEED according to his riches in glory BY Christ Jesus…” (Philippians 4:19 KJV). “…God will generously PROVIDE all … [the enabling power] … you need…” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT). REPENT and you will receive the gift of the … [indwelling power of the] … Holy Spirit….” (Acts 2:38 NASB).  ….The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… [for  POWER to do God's will] ...” (PSALM 23:1-3 NLT).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender NEVER CHANGES OR FAILS. “…I am the Lord, I change NOT” (Malachi 3:6 KJV).  “…Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV). “… [You] … can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth … [YOU] …” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender won’t ever BE SEPARATED FROM YOU; EVEN IF YOU SEPARATE FROM HIM. “…I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, to the very end…"(Matthew 28:20 NIV). “…I …[am] … “IN” YOU…” (John 15:4 KJV). “…If … [you] … are unfaithful, he remains faithful…” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender LASTS FOREVER and never weakens. “…. He never grows weak or wearyHe gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT). “…Jesus Christ is the sameforever” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender IS SO POWERFUL; IT IS A “SIGN” THAT YOU ARE HIS DISCIPLES, AND THAT YOU “TRULY” trust in and depend upon HIM. “…God has given [you] his Spirit as PROOF that [you]… live (are ALIVE) in him and he [dwells]… in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT). "… bear much fruit, and … PROVE to be … [God’s] … disciples…” (John 15:8 NIV). “…Ye shall know them by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender is a side effect or work of the ingested holy spirit. “…God is Spirit…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…It is God (the Holy Spirit) which worketh IN YOU both to will  and to do  ” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender is understood by faith. “… BY FAITH we UNDERSTAND (become aware of)that what we now see (a surrendered life) did not come from anything that can be seen (indwelling power)…” (Hebrews 11 NLT). “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). “…the …[Holy] … Spirit of God dwell[s] in you…” (Romans 8:9 KJV).  . “…The invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are MADE …” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “… All things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is …[MADE] … a NEW creature ” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “… BY FAITH we UNDERSTAND (become aware of) …” (Hebrews 11 NLT). “…Ye shall know them by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to EXPERIENCE surrender comes from empowering trust. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…” Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “ … lean not unto thine own understanding…” Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).  “ … In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths…” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…The LORD will accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB). “…The steps of a good man are ordered (directed) by the Lord:” (Psalms 37:23 KJV).
Trusting in and depending on jesus’ indwelling power is revealed through your surrender to his will and his plan for your life. “…Surrender your pride and power…” (Jeremiah 4:4  NLT). “…Submit to God, and you will have peace...” (Job 22:21 NLT). “…Submit therefore to God…” (James 4:7 NLT).  I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38 KJV).  “….the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others " (Matthew 20:28). “…I must be about my Father's business?” (Luke 2:49 KJV). “…I desire to do your will, my God…” (Psalms 40:8 KJV). “…I have come to do your will, my God'" (Hebrews 10:7, 9 KJV). “…I do nothing of myself…” (John 8:28 KJV). “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works…” (John 14:10 KJV). Therefore,“…present your bodies a living sacrifice…” (Romans 12:1 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that can enable you to surrender and trust IS OFTEN “NOT” BELIEVED. “…Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God” (Hebrews 3:12 KJV). “…See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God…” (Hebrews 3:12 NIV). The Centurion said to Jesus “…I DO believe; HELP me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24 NIV). “…Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE WAY, the truth, and the life” (John 14 6 KJV) “…There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways DEATH ...” (Proverbs 16:25 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender is RECEIVED or trusted often in the presence of doubt and without complete human understanding or knowledge. “… [My]…thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways…..as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than you ways and my thoughts than your thoughts…” (Isaiah 55:8-9 ASV). “…RECEIVE with meekness the engrafted word …” (James 1:21 KJV). Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…” Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). "…Truly I tell you, if anyone … DOES NOT DOUBT in their heart but believes … it will be done for them.” (MARKS 11:23 NIV). “… lean not unto thine own understanding …” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV). “…My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6 NIV). “…God is Spirit …” (John 4:24 KJV). “…ANYONE WHO COMES TO HIM MUST BELIEVE THAT HE (is a SPIRIT and HE) EXISTS…” (Hebrews 11:6 NIV). “…Submit yourselves to the Lord…” (2 Chronicles 30:8 NLT). “REPENT and you will receive the gift of the ..[indwelling[ … Holy Spirit….” (Acts 2:38 NASB). “…..be not afraid….only believe…” (Mark 5:36 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender is on your side. “…What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 KJV).
Jesus’ indwelling power that enables you to surrender is within you. “…God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son “INTO” OUR HEARTS” (Galatians 4:6 NASB). “…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that [you]… [are alive]… in him and he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).
JESUS’ INDWELLING POWER THAT ENABLES YOU TO SURRENDER IS THE UNSEEN, INVISIBLE HOLY SPIRIT. “…GOD IS SPIRIT…” (John 4:24 KJV). …The invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are MADE …” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “… All things are … [MADE] … NEW…” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is … [MADE] … a NEW creature ” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
JESUS’ INDWELLING POWER THAT ENABLES YOU TO SURRENDER IS WITH YOU FOREVER AND WON’T EVER WEAKEN “….
JESUS’ INDWELLING POWER THAT ENABLES YOU TO SURRENDER WILL SUPPLY YOU with MORE THAN enough OF EVERYTHING; and YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY TO share with others. “…God shall supply ALL YOUR NEED” (Philippians 4:19 KJV). “…God will generously PROVIDE all … [the enabling power] … you need…” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT). . “…my cup runneth over (with God’s indwelling power)…” (Psalms 23:5 KJV).“…God will generously PROVIDE all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to “SHARE” WITH OTHERS…” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT).
JESUS’ INDWELLING POWER THAT ENABLES YOU TO SURRENDER WILL BE DISPLAYED as spiritual fruit in your life and others WILL BE ABLE TO CLEARLY see it. “…Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is … [MADE] … a NEW creature ” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). “…The invisible [Spirit]…from the creation of the world is …clearly seen, being understood by the things that are MADE …” (Romans 1:20 KJV). “…Ye shall know them by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:16 KJV). “…The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).
If you do NOT have the indwelling Spirit, you are NOT one of God’s children and the fruit, not your religious works, is the evidence. “…God has given [you] HIS Spirit as PROOF that [you]… [are alive]… in him and he [dwells]…in [you]…” (1 John 4:13 NLT). “…Jesus Christ is in you” (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV). “…That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)….” (Romans 8:8-11 NLT).
“… [The covenant relationship between the believer and Indwelling Holy Spirit is revealed through] …the fruit of the Spirit …[which] … is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV).
