KEEP ABIDING WITH "HIM;" HE HATES DIVORCE!
“… For it
is impossible to bring back to repentance
those who
were once enlightened—those
who have
experienced the good things of heaven and shared
in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God and the
power of the age to come— and who
then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people
back to repentance;
by rejecting the
Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross
once again and holding him up to public shame. …”
(Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT).
*
God LOVES his people. He constantly
expresses that LOVE by ENCOURAGING and LOVINGLY pleading with them to REPENT
when they get off the path. “… repent
and DO the first works [of ABIDING with the WORD of GOD, the Holy Spirit]…”
(Revelation 2:5 KJV). “.... STAND, fast
therefore, in the LIBERTY wherewith Christ (the WORD) hath made ...[you]
...FREE, and BE NOT
entangled AGAIN with the yoke of BONDAGE....
[UNLESS] ... Christ (the WORD)
become NO EFFECT unto you,
whosoever of you are JUSTIFED by keeping the law [through self-effort]; ye are FALLEN
FROM GRACE... ye
DID run well; who did HINDER you that ye should NOT OBEY the TRUTH? This
persuasion cometh NOT of him (God, the Holy Spirit) that calleth you. A little
leaven leaveneth the whole lump... the works of the flesh are MANIFEST....I
tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such
things SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God (HEAVEN)...”
(Galatians 5 KJV).
God LOVINGLY pleads with HIS PEOPLE to
REPENT through HIS WORD when they read the bible, or hear sermons, or through
the witness of other brothers and sisters in Christ, or pleads of saved family
members, through inspirational books, media, and others avenues, which is a CLEAR
demonstration of his LOVING MERCY. “…The
LORD God, merciful
and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth…”
(Exodus 34:6 KJV). “…Don't you see how
wonderfully kind …God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see
that his
kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?”
(Romans 2:4 NLT). “…He is being patient for YOUR SAKE. He
does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to
repent…” (2 Peter 3: 9 NLT).
He lovingly encourages and pleads with
them to COME BACK to the covenant relationship with HIM, the indwelling Holy Spirit. Though they
have willfully and voluntarily fallen away or departed from HIM; he cares for his people. “...He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).
God is not pleased when those he LOVES
choose to fall away or depart from the covenant relationship. God is NOT a fan
of DIVORCE of any kind!!! “…I will make you my
wife (intimate, covenant companion)
forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing
love and compassion…”
(Hosea 2:19 NASB). “…I hate divorce!” says the Lord,
the God of Israel. “…” (Malachi 2:16 NLT). Nonetheless, “…[MY PEOPLE] ... broke [their] … covenant [with me],
though I
loved them as a husband loves his wife (his intimate, covenant companion),” says the Lord…”
(Jeremiah 31:32 NASB).
“…Love
does NO HARM to his neighbor…”
(Romans 13:10 NASB).. “…To divorce your wife (your intimate, covenant companion) is to
overwhelm her with cruelty,” says
the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “…”
(Malachi 2:16 NLT).
In the INTIMANT, COVENANT
RELATIONSHIP with God, the Holy Spirit, he is the husbandman or everlasting,
responsible CAREGIVER. “…The LORD “WILL”
accomplish (take care of)…that which concerns [you]…”
(John 14:31 NASB). “...Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “……your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things…”
(Matthew 6 KJV). “...he
careth for you…” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). “…The LORD “WILL” … [take care
of]…that which concerns … [you]…” (John 14:31 NASB).
The believer is the symbolic WIFE (dependent, intimate, covenant companion) and God, the Holy Spirit, COMMITS himself to THEM
forever.“…God has said “Never will
I leave you; never will I
forsake you…” (Hebrews 13:5 NIV). “…I AM
WITH YOU ALWAYS, to the very end…"(Matthew
28:20 NIV). “…Behold, I AM WITH… [YOU] and …I WILL NOT LEAVE [YOU]…." (Genesis 28:15 ASV). “…The LORD thy
God …will not fail (leave) thee, nor forsake thee…” (Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV). “…Behold,
I am with… [you]
and will keep… [you] whithersoever [you]… goest…I will not leave [you]..." (Genesis 28:15 ASV).“…Two
are better than one because
they have a good return for their labor.
For if either of
them falls, the one will lift up his companion. …”
(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NASB). “…I AM WITH… [YOU] and …I WILL NOT LEAVE [YOU] …." (Genesis 28:15 ASV). “…It is not good that
the man (woman) should be alone…” (Genesis
2:18 KJV). “…I am with
you always, to the
very end of the age…"(Matthew
28:20 NIV).“…my
companion and close friend…”
(Psalms 55:13 NLT).
God GENEROUSLY supplies for the NEEDS of
his intimate, covenant companions (the SAVED). “…the HEAD
(caregiver, provider) of EVERY man (woman) is Christ (the Word of
God) ...” (1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV). “…God is the one who provides …” (2 Corinthians
9:10-13 KJV). “… God will supply all [your need]…” (Philippians
4:19 NASB). JEHOVAH –JIREH
means: "The Lord
Will Provide." ). “…by the GRACE of God [ALL MY
NEEDS ARE SUPPLIED]…” (1
Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “…God will generously PROVIDE all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to “SHARE” WITH OTHERS…”
(2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT). “... God is the one
who provides
seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and
increase [his companion’s]… resources...”
(2 Corinthians 9:3-16 NLT).
God wants his people to STAY and ABIDE in
the covenant relationship with HIM, the
HOLY SPIRIT, for their GOOD and so he can CARE for them continually and
uninterrupted. “... Take heed, brethren,
lest there be IN any of you an EVIL “HEART” of unbelief (of
not choosing to depend upon the power of God’s Word or his indwelling Holy
Spirit), in DEPARTING from the LIVING GOD...”
(Hebrews 3:12 KJV).
He ENCOURAGES them and LOVINGLY PLEADS for
them to come BACK to HIS LOVE and GRACE. “…Jeremiah, say to the people, ‘This is what
the Lord says: “‘When people fall down, don’t they get up
again? When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back?
Then why do these people stay on their self-destructive path?
Why do the people of Jerusalem refuse to turn back They cling
tightly to their lies and will not turn around. I
listen to their conversations and don’t hear a word of
truth. Is anyone sorry for doing wrong? Does anyone say, “What a terrible thing I have done”? No! All are running down the path of sin as
swiftly as a horse galloping into battle! Even the stork that flies across the
sky knows the time of her migration, as do the turtledove, the swallow, and the crane. They all return at the proper time each
year. But not my people! They do not know the Lord’s laws.
“‘How can you say, “We are wise because we have the word of the Lord,” when your teachers have twisted it by
writing lies? These wise teachers will fall into the trap of their own foolishness, for
they have rejected the word of the Lord. Are they so wise after all? ...”
(Jeremiah 8:20 NLT).
“…But
my people would not listen to me.
They kept doing whatever they wanted, following
the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).
“But the people replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We
will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly
following our own evil desires”
(JEREMIAH 18:12 NLT).
Eventually TIME passes
and people WILL start to realize they have lost chance after chance to REPENT.
“...The Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man…”
(Genesis 6:3 KJV). “…They DID NOT like to retain God in their
knowledge, GOD
GAVE THEM OVER to a reprobate mind…” (Romans 1:28 KJV). “… I will remove they
candlestick out of his place…” (Revelation 2:5 KJV).
However, if you are still breathing, you
have a chance. God “…
is able TO DO exceeding
abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). “…The things which are
impossible with men are POSSIBLE with God…” (Luke 18:27 KJV). “…I am
the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”
(Jeremiah 32:27 KJV). God is“... RICH IN MERCY…” (Ephesians 2:1-5 KJV). “…Who is a God like unto
thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant
of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because HE DELIGHTETH IN
MERCY…” (Micah 7:18 KJV).
God prefers for his people to CHOOSE to
STAY and ABIDE in the covenant relationship with HIM where his immutable
LOVE for them forever EMPOWERS the bond
between them. “…love,
which is the perfect BOND of
unity...”
(Colossians 3:14 NASB). “…He
that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT…” (1 Corinthian 6:17 KJV).
He is FOREVER “BONDED” to you by his
PLEDGE of SPIRITUAL LOVE, but YOU willfully and voluntarily CHOOSE to stay
bonded with him. “…Choose
you
this day whom ye will serve….” (Joshua 24:15 KJV).
Falling away from God and from HIS GRACE
describes a believer who has chosen to reject the holy standards of the intimate, covenant relationship with
God, the Holy Spirit. “…My
people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted…” (Jeremiah 7:24 NLT).
Choosing to reject the holy standards of the intimate, covenant
relationship with God, the indwelling
Holy Spirit is choosing to willfully and voluntarily fall away and depart
from HIS GRACE. “…Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…” (2 Corinthians 5:17
KJV). “…by the grace of God I am what I am…”
(1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV).
“…I will put a new spirit in you. …”
(Ezekiel 36:26 NLT). “…It is God which
worketh in you…” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). “…
[Therefore]… we all … are changed into the same image [of Christ] from glory to
glory …” (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV). However, “…You have fallen
away from God’s GRACE…”
(Galatians 5:4 NLT).
God is LOVINGLY PLEADING with the FALLEN
and the DEPARTED to remember the ROLE HIS GRACE plays in BLESSING their lives
with abundance. “…by the GRACE of God I am what I am…”
(1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV). “…You have fallen away from God’s GRACE…”
(Galatians 5:4 NLT). “… REMEMBER
THEREFORE FROM WHENCE THOU ARE FALLEN …”
(REVELATION 2:2 KJV).
When God, the HOLY SPIRIT, communicated to
sinful man through his WORD; he drew them to himself by GRACE, through FAITH
(dependence upon the POWER of his HOLY WORD). “…BY GRACE have ye been saved through… FAITH (dependence upon the
Power of his Word)…” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ASV).
It is his AMAZING GRACE that sustains the
believer throughout their entire lifetime and within the covenant relationship
with Him, the Holy Spirit. God says. “…My grace
is
sufficient for you…” (2
Corinthians 12:9 NIV). “…NOT
that we are sufficient OF
OURSELVES to think any thing as of
ourselves; but our
sufficiency is of God…” (2 Corinthians 3:5 KJV). “…I will supply all your NEED…”
(John 12:32 KJV).
God’s immutable LOVE fuels his acts of
immutable GRACE forever. “…I am the Lord, I change NOT…”
(Malachi 3:6 KJV).
His acts of GRACE are meant to reveal to
his people all the things he has favorably and freely given to them in Christ
Jesus. “… [God, through Christ]… freely
give us all things?...” (Romans 8:32
KJV). “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”
(Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
God’s LOVE fuels his acts of GRACE. God’s
acts of GRACE empowers his people to RECEIVE all things necessary for life and
godliness through the intimate, covenant relationship with his indwelling Holy Spirit. “…His DIVINE POWER
hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain
unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). “…Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are
your's [in Christ]…” (1 Corinthians 3 KJV).
The FALLEN or DEPARTED will eventually
begin to draw closer to being cursed and going to hell.
“…that
which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned…” (Hebrews 6:4-8
NASB).
The FALLEN or DEPARTED
are PROOF, that even after being given everything that pertains to life and
godliness; they can still CHOOSE to forget and abandon the intimate, covenant
relationship with God, the Holy Spirit.
“…His [indwelling Holy Spirit has freely GIVEN to [you]… ALL
THINGS that pertain unto life
and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV).
“…The
GIFT by grace……” (Romans 5:15 KJV). ”… ye
[are]…saved by grace through faith…it is the GIFT of God…”
(Ephesians 2:8 KJV). “…The GIFT of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ ….” (Romans 6:23 KJV). “….ye
shall receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 2:38 KJV). “…the GIFT of righteousness…”
(Romans 5:17 KJV). “…I am leaving you
with a GIFT—peace of mind and heart...” (John 14:27 KJV). “…God has given us different GIFTS for
doing certain things well…” (Romans 12:6 NLT). “…every man hath his proper GIFT of God...” (2 Corinthians 7:7
KJV). “…Thanks be unto God for his
unspeakable GIFT[S]…” (2 Corinthians 9:16 KJV). YET, “… [YOU]… FORGOT all about ME,” says the Lord…”
(Hosea 2:13 NLT). “…For years on end my
people have FORGOTten ME…” (Jeremiah 2:32 NLT).
“…They ABANDONED the Lord… they
turned their backs on him….” (2 Chronicles 29:6 NLT).
The FALLEN or DEPARTED
have chosen to forfeit the GIFTS and BLESSINGS God has FREELY and FAVORABLY bestowed upon them through
the intimate, covenant relationship. “... Not every
one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but
he that doeth the will (do his heartfelt desires, his wants, follow his word, etc.) of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in
that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy
name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you (was never intimate with you): depart from me (like you chose to depart from me), ye
that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:21-23 KJV).
“…abide
in me (stay in the way; on the path), and I in you (and I will stay in way or on the path with you). As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in
the vine…”
(John 15:4 KJV).
“…If a man abide NOT in me,
‘he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and
they are burned…”
(John 15:6 KJV).
“…Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have
we not prophesied in thy name? and in
thy name have cast out devils? and in
thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity…”
(Matthew 7:22-23 KJV). “…For thou art Not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil DWELLwith thee. The foolish shall not stand in
thy sight: thou hatest all workers of
iniquity (workers living a sinful lifestyle)…”
(Psalms 5:4-5 KJV).
“…Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God…”
(1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV). “…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye
shall all likewise PERISH…” (Luke 13:3 KJV).
The DEPARTED are in the
PROCESS of FALLING AWAY forever from God’s GRACE. “… REMEMBER
THEREFORE FROM WHENCE THOU ARE FALLEN …”
(REVELATION 2:2 KJV). “….Apart
from [the indwelling Holy Spirit]…you can do nothing…” (John 15:5 NIV).
“…I KNOW THY WORKS, AND THY LABOR, AND THY PATIENCE, AND HOW THOU CANST NOT BEAR THEM WHICH ARE EVIL: AND THOU TRIED THEM WHICH SAY THEY ARE APOSTLES, AND
ARE NOT, AND HAS FOUND THEM LAIRS… …” (REVELATION 2:2 KJV).
It is NOT your religious deeds or your
religious knowledge, it is your decision to STAY and ABIDE in the covenant
relationship with God, the Holy Spirit,
which EMPOWERS you to endure to the END and be SAVED. “...BUT HE THAT “SHALL” (WILL) ENDURE UNTO THE END SHALL (WILL) BE SAVED...”
(Matthew 24:13 KJV). “... We count them
happy which ENDURE ...” (James 5:11 KJV).
The SECURITY OF SALVATION is DEPENDING
UPON and ABIDING with and “IN” the IMMUTABLE love and FAITHFULNESS of God, but
YOU have a CHOICE.“… I have loved you
with an everlasting love…”
(Jeremiah 31:3 NASB). “… Indeed, He loves the people…” (Deuteronomy 33:3
NASB). “… he remains faithful[to the intimate, covenant relationship], for he cannot deny who
he is…” (2
Timothy 2:13 NLT). “…Choose you
this day whom
ye will serve….”
(Joshua 24:15 KJV).
“…You have fallen
away from God’s GRACE…”
(Galatians 5:4 NLT). “… REMEMBER
THEREFORE FROM WHENCE THOU ARE FALLEN …”
(REVELATION 2:2 KJV).
The SIN, I am speaking
about, is not your mistakes, shortcomings, imperfections, weaknesses, or
failures, which is common to those who are TRAINING for HOLINESS (training to
walk FREE from sin). YOU
ARE no longer dominated by the LIMITATIONS of the sin nature We are talking about
those who have willfully and voluntarily CHOSEN to fall/turn away or LEAVE the
relationship with God, the Holy Spirit as a result of a "... evil heart of UNBELIEF..." “... [to] ... those
who were once enlightened ... who have ... experienced the good
things of heaven and shared in the Holy
Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God and the
power of the age to come— and who
then turn away from God. … [AGAIN]... who
[chooses]...turn
away from God...”
(Hebrews 6:4-8 NLT).
“… repent and
DO the first works [of ABIDING with the WORD of GOD, the
Holy Spirit]…” (Revelation 2:5 KJV).
“…EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise PERISH…”
(Luke 13:3 KJV).
